A map of the Gold Coast where VDT will be filmed
GoldCoast.com
is reporting:
MULTI-MILLION dollar production The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader could be arriving on the Gold Coast as early as next month, according to industry insiders.
Gold Coast film industry workers yesterday told The Bulletin Narnia’s producers had already been in contact with locals to get together their crew.
The $150 million production is expected to start pre-production as early as next month and remain at Warner Roadshow Studios until the end of November.
After their plans to film at the Baja Studios were interrupted by local unrest, the filmmakers have been searching for a new place to shoot Dawn Treader. Although the Pacific Film and Television Commission (PFTC) has not released any official statements about Narnia coming to the Gold Coast, more details are expected to be announced soon.
Also, here is a link to the Warner Roadshow Studios’ website that includes information about their water tank facilities.
Thanks Indy for the heads-up.
Popplewell Surpasses Goals for Charity Marathon
Posted April 27, 2009 11:33 am by wisewomanAnna Popplewell surpassed her target goal for the London Marathon, raising £ 4,740.00 for the charity Shelter. On her Justgiving page, she writes: “I still wasn’t sure until this morning whether I was going to make it to the start line, having been on antibiotics for a chest infection last week and still suffering from a foot injury. I made it though- it took me a whole 6 hours and 15 minutes and 43 seconds but I got there! Thank you everyone so much for your incredible support and for your generous contributions. Your sponsorship will make a huge difference to people who really need it and it certainly kept me going today.” Congrats Anna!
‘Prince Caspian’ Takes Home a Dove Award
Posted April 24, 2009 1:24 pm by fantasia_kittyLast night Prince Caspian won Instrumental Album of the Year at the Dove Awards. We at NarniaWeb would like to say congratulations to Harry Gregson-Williams!
Unfortunately Switchfoot’s “This is Home” didn’t win in the Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song; it lost out to “Give Me Your Eyes” by Brandon Heath.
You can see the full list of Dove Award winners at the website here.
Thanks to The Batman for the heads up!
So, Narnia.com is No More
Posted April 23, 2009 8:50 pm by fantasia_kittyDisney has taken www.Narnia.com (also known as the Narnia Portal) down. As 20th Century Fox is now in charge of the promotion for the Narnia movies, our speculation is that they will take over the official website too.
Disney still has webpages on their website to promote The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian and the majority of the old website is still accessible through Disney’s Prince Caspian page, but the old Narnia.com page has been shut down (for now anyways).

‘Dawn Treader’ Video Game in the Works
Posted April 13, 2009 12:34 pm by wisewomanDestructoid.com is reporting that video game developer Nihilistic is working on the video game for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. This is substantiated by an online resume for Nestor Angeles on AMDb (the Animator Database). It’s a safe assumption that the game will be available around the film’s release in December 2010. IMDB Teaser Poster for ’Dawn Treader’ a Fake
Posted April 9, 2009 11:59 am by wisewomanLately we’ve been receiving lots of spy reports about the new poster on IMDB for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. While we really appreciate the spy reports, we’re sorry to say that the poster is almost certainly fan-made. There is no image of Eustace (not to mention Reepicheep!), and the pictures of Lucy, Edmund, and Caspian are all from Prince Caspian. Again, thanks for all the reports, but this is a false alarm. Keep your eyes peeled for the real thing, and be sure to send it in when you see it!
