That's true. I haven't despaired as of yet. :) One has to be an optimist when their favorite book in the series is on the line.

A) Lot's of people called Narnia itself and the creature in it enchanted for previous films, even though I'm not sure one could, so I don't think that really means anything. B) Unfathomable fate worries me, but past experience has taught me to never trust the synopsises so I still have hope, LOTS of hope. :)

"Enchanted merfolk"? "...can save Narnia, and all the astonishing creatures in it, from an unfathomable fate."? Oh, please! The merfolk weren't enchanted when I last read the book, and where does Lewis mention an "unfathomable fate" that they're trying to save Narnia from? The whole reason Caspian is able to go on the voyage is the fact that Narnia is at peace and in no danger for once. The reason for the voyage is to rescue 7 lords, not to save Narnia since there's nothing to save it from at the time. Apparently that wasn't a good enough reason for making a death-defying voyage? You don't need some horrible threat to be willing to do something brave. Don't people understand the concept of honor any more? C.S. Lewis had it that way. Why can't they leave it that way?

Woah...I predicted this. O, my prophetic soul...
I think they'll cut Burnt Island and smoosh Deathwater elsewhere, probably Dragon Island. I do hope, though that the Golden Pool and Edmund and Caspian's quarrel is kept in, wherever it is placed. I could live with Restimar also falling asleep or being dragoned, but it would be with some measure of disappointment.
I don't think there's any way that they'll lose The Island of the Nightmares; it's way too interesting to just cut out.

I love Tom Bombadil but he wouldn't have worked in the movie. There are just certain things you have to cut.

:D Part of me wants to scream in horror with you, Caspian. This does seem to be going more downhill. But have courage! A true Narnian should not give up hope!
I disliked PC very much, but then again I went into the theatre hoping for the book. Of course I was disapointed. So with this movie, I am just going to view it as a movie; nothing more. And as just a movie, I like the plot a lot. As a Narnia purist...NOOOOOOOOO. But it can't be helped. I'm just going to enjoy the movie for what it is. And I don't think I could ever NOT watch it. ;)

It wouldn't bother me too much if Deathwater was combined with Dragon Island, that is, as long as the themes were the same. If it was, we could have Caspian, Ed, Lu, Reep, and Eustace finding the gold statue after Eustace was undragoned. It would be a perfect place to show Eustace had changed. Or, Eustace could dive for the statue (though the book says he can't swim) and be turned into a dragon!

I don't think they'd cut out the Dark Island because it would be a very dramatic point in the film, however, they never actually land on the Dark Island in the book so maybe that doesn't count as an island. All I can say about this matter is that they'd better have ASLAN rescue the ship and not Ramandu's Daughter.

I don't like the fact they're still saying "bewitching" and "unfathomable fate". This all sounds very dangerous, but Reepicheep says that we should not turn back from danger. However, he only says that because he trusts Aslan.
KEEP PRAYING FOR THE DAWN TREADER FILM!

It don't know if this is so bad to keep me from watching the movie. It might be just like how Andrew Adamson changed the way they first found Narnia in LWW, it really made the movie better if anything. And honestly, I can't even remember Burnt Island.
