Awesome! I love seeing pictures of the Dawn Treader. The ship is so gorgeous! It is exactly as I always imagined it. Well done!

  2. Lady_Liln says:

Lovely pictures! I'm thrilled that they are letting pictures be taken so freely.

  3. EdmundPevensie says:

Why aren't the head and tail attatched to the ship? Is it true they are relly going to scrap it? 🙁
That would be terribly sad if they did. Oh well, I am amazed at the wonderful work and craftmanship that went into creating the Dawn Treader and I can NOT wait to see the movie. Further in!

  4. King Skandar the Just says:

I think it is very cool that they have all of the people who worked on the Dawn Treader has their name on the ship! Everything is so amazing!

  5. King Skandar the Just says:

Yeah it's very cool that they let people take pictures! Normally people can't do that.

  6. narniafan4ever ♥ says:

I really hope they don't scrap it. 🙁 It is so beautiful! 😀 I can't wait for the movie either. It is going to be awesome. 🙂

  7. narniafan4ever ♥ says:

I know. It is really neat! 😀

  8. narnia365 says:

Woah, I didn't realize the Dawn Treader was so big! Like, wow, that's huge!
I think the second "sailors costume" is actually Lucy's costume. The face of the dummy is definitely more female… idk, just a thought.

  9. ASLAN'S CHILD says:

  11. tenthofthatname says:

Those pictures showing the scale of the ship are great!

  12. narniafan4ever ♥ says:

That was my thought too. 🙂

  13. martin the warrior says:

i like the first sailors costume, but the sword looks to much like a telmarine sword

  14. narnian resident says:

like i said before, its just plain breathtaking 😀

  15. Lillyput90 says:

Cool Pics! I'm very interested in those boulders, they look almost exactly like the Moeraki Boulders in Otago, New Zealand. Google "Moeraki Boulders" and you'll see what I mean.

  16. The second sailor costume looks like Lucys coustume so at least I know where it came from (I've been out of the blue)

  17. Waleed Sajjad Khan says:

sweet pics!!! the tounge in the dragon head looks almost lik a slide.

  18. myartismylife says:

To answer your question as to why the head and tail are not attached to the ship:- The reason is that the ship is been housed in the largest film studio that Warner Studios have at this site and it is still NOT large enough to add the head, the tail and the two sections of the mast. Hence having it displayed as they have. I would have been amazing to see the ship all set up at Cleveland but I never got to go and see it. Also to answer someone else's question about the statue of the headless kings being on the ship. No they are not. I have not been able to find out anything else about them except that the tower is attacked.

  19. QueenLanitheHyper says:

awesome!! cant wait for the movie to come out it looks great so far!

  20. emma says:

well they say where you can and cant take pictures but on board the ship you can take them wherever but its on other parts of the set they limit it

  21. Lady Galadriel says:

Just why on earth are the statues headless???

I think this is the scene I will be most looking anxious to see….

  22. Lady Galadriel says:

I mean, I'm looking forward to it, but anxiously 😛 It sounds weird to me.

  23. Luis says:

    awsome!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Lutra's Pearl says:

We should sign a petition to keep it of being scraped. It might not do any good but it could be worth a try.
keep the story of Aslan alive!!!!

  25. Ranger says:

I clearly remember that the book stated the ship was not that big. But who cares! It's epic!

  26. narniafan4ever ♥ says:

Thanks for clearing that up! 🙂 I was getting a little worried for a minute! Btw…thanks again for the pictures. 😀

  27. narnia fan 7 says:

Awsome pictures! the ship looks Graet! Furthr up and Furthr in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. Tawariell says:

Statues that are holding their decapitated heads? Hmmm… that sounds like a bad dream– Dark Island? 😛 It will be interesting to see their real purpose…

  29. iLiveInNarnia says:

    COSTUMES!!! YAY!!!
    great pics

  30. The tarkheena says:

The sailor's costume looks like Georgie's costume I saw in a pic of her!! Exciting!! I cannot wait for this movie.

  31. narniafan4ever ♥ says:

That sounds like a really plausible idea. Good thinking! 🙂

  32. Lamppostshines! says:

    loved it!!

  33. Mal says:

Very cool! That ship is huge!!!!

  34. always narnian says:

Cool. I still don't like the head or tail though; haha. Too Carnival looking!

  35. checkers says:

Are those really the names of the crew that built the Dawn Treader, or are those names of people they made up? Because, if the first, that's really cool. 🙂

  36. violet sky Raven says:

Awesome dragon head! I love it! Soooooooo cool! 🙂

  37. Waleed Sajjad Khan says:

🙁 i dont get it – the 1st trailer isnt out yet tho they sed filming shood wrap up late november – along with a trailer…

  38. 2010 the year we been waiting for! I am longing to take the voyage on the Dawn Treader. Thanks for keeping us informed. It will be here, but for now we have you to keep us in the know.

  39. Tarwe, the Narnian Elf says:

Dragon attack? Did the tour guide get mixed-up and actually mean a sea serpent? Or did they have Eustace-as-the-dragon go into a rampage and attack the Narnians since he felt he was being slighted…? Just kidding! Sorry, I have just been almost wild with anticipation! I can't wait for VDT; it will be fantastic! Happy New Year!

  40. If you are right(which I hope you aren't)I will be very upset with there choice in Lucy's costume.I mean in the book she was supposed to be wearing one of Caspians outfits which probley wouldn't have looked so pirate like and gaudey.I can see mabey some of the ship mates dressed like that;but Lucy was wearing a nice tunic;which in the book was acctualy long on her.Why do they have to make them look so piratey and make Lucy look so rough. She was supposed to be sweet in the book.

  41. emma says:

No he meant Dragon cos when I was on set when they were filming Jeff O was miked up and saying "It's a dragon"! as in they were filming and he was saying that so the actors knew where to look lol

  42. emma says:

they're the names of the people who built the ship

  43. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

…she doesn't really look too "piratey". Her costume's actually pretty good… though I do like the idea of the too-long tunic!

  44. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

    whee! ; P

  45. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

I know! I want to watch a glimpse of it beyond little clips of filming (cool as they are)!

  46. Katana says:

They look pretty good. Thank you Mayartismylife and Shamanalive for uploading the pictures, the way they were taken was very informative. I cant wait for the movie.

    -Katana

  47. Katana says:

I am very conserned about the "dragon attack" though.

  48. Laura Elizabeth says:

I am too. I'm concerned about the whole movie. Already almost everything we've heard about has not been from the books… MLG, Dragon Attack, Statues of the Seven Lords. I just want the story of the Dawn Treader, not the filmmaker's idea of the story.

  49. Hermitess of Narnia says:

Yes, the statues of the seven lords indicate they want to backtrack with the story; the backtracking might get them in a bunch of trouble. LWW was pretty straightforward, which makes the most sense. Why change something up if you don't have to?
In the book, they did think the dragon was planning an attack, even if they were on the shore at that time and not on the ship. If they are all on the ship in the movie it would give them an interesting opportunity to do the right thing: leave for safety, or wait until they find Eustace.
Aside from this the pictures of the ship look even better in these close-ups. And the lamp looks WONDERFUL!
PRAY FOR THE DAWN TREADER; DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP!

  50. Christina says:

Wait, is the black and white sailor costume Edmunds?

  51. These pictures just keep getting better and better!

  52. HighQueenofNarnia says:

Filming has wrapped- don't know why the trailer hasn't been released yet.

  53. Sarah says:

I visited the set a lot and all the sailors were wearing that costume. The costume that Georgie was wearing was slightly different. It was a bit oversized on her and her pants were velvet.
