Johanna, I hadn’t thought of that. You’re right that they do have to make some minor changes to make it work in the cinema, but hopefully they still stay close to the book! I wouldn’t mind if they made much of one of the action sequences- like the kidnapping and enslaving of Caspian, Reepicheep, Eustace, and the Pevensies or even if they put another one in, like they did with the Frozen River sequence in LWW, as long as it makes sense. But I hope that the book itself is transformed into a movie, not just some Hollywood idea of the book.

Yeah, a certain article that I read but can’t remember the name of asked if LWW was just a one-time success or if PC was just a one-time failure. It’s my opinion that VOTDT will be somewhere in between- but hopefully I’m wrong and VOTDT will be even better than LWW! Then Hollywood will make Silver Chair, or SC.

Just thought of something…
Y’know the BBC adaptation of VDT, where Drinian says that they got attacked by pirates at the island of Terebithia,
prahaps that’s the thing to do with pirates sliding down the ropes.
Just an idea though.
