The DailyRecord Interviews Will Poulter
Posted August 10, 2010 3:05 pm by fantasia_kitty 34 CommentsThe DailyRecord.co.uk interviewed Will Poulter about his participation in the upcoming Fringe festival in Edinburgh. And of course, a mention of his role as Eustace in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader came up.
“It was nerve-wracking taking on a character who is so well-known. Everyone has a picture of Eustace and how he is.
“Trying to encapsulate that was daunting. I’m sure I haven’t been able to do that but I hope I’ve done my best. I know it’s annoying reading book then seeing a film and being disappointed with the character.”
Skandar and Georgie both gave him advice but he claimed it was too early to know how it will feel to be in such a big movie with so many fans around the world.
“Of course it depends on my performance how I’m taken by the fans. It’s a bit of a worry.”
To echo AslansCountry.com, we think you’ll make an excellent Eustace, Will!

Posted August 9, 2010 1:16 pm by fantasia_kitty 17 CommentsEmpire Magazine and the British Film Industry are hosting Movie-Con III this weekend. Apparently there will be something featured from or for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Ladies and gentlemen, with Movie-Con III fast approaching, we’re finally allowed to bring you some more details on the line-up you’ll be seeing this year.
…
Then there’s The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which will be bringing us a taste of the latest Narnian adventure (they’re all at sea this time. Literally though; don’t worry).
That’s all the information I’ve been able to find so far, which isn’t much. Movie-Con III runs from Aug 13 – Aug 15 at the BFI Southbank, London.
If anyone can find more information on this event and how Dawn Treader will be featured (and on what day), please shoot us a spy report!

Narnia.com Unlocks the Magician’s Island
Posted August 9, 2010 7:50 am by fantasia_kitty 58 CommentsNarnia.com has updated this morning. You can now sail your Dawn Treader ship and land on the Magician’s Island. Once you disembark, a new screen appears with Caspian, Edmund, and Drinian surrounded by invisible Duffers and Lucy off in the distance.
As you click around on the page, you’ll see some of the Dufflepuds show up and the doors to the Magician’s House will also appear, open, and Lucy enters.
If you click on the Dawn Treader in the background, it will allow you to download the image, but there’s a giant thing of sparkles in the middle of it so hopefully that image will be cleaned up later!
There’s are a few other tidbits here and there that we didn’t mention so head on over and check them out!
Thanks starkat for the heads up!
What Fox Saw in Narnia
Posted August 5, 2010 10:00 pm by glumPuddle 25 CommentsThe September issue (#255) of Empire Magazine includes a Q&A session with Tom Rothman and Jim Gianopulos who are both the Co-Chairmen and Co-CEOs of 20th Century Fox. They answered questions submitted by readers, and one of them was about Narnia:
Q: “You now distribute the Narnia franchise, which was with Disney. What do you see in it that the Mouse House didn’t?” – Annette Symons, Reading.
JG: “We saw the strength of an iconic and everlasting property that has endured for all these years and for tens of millions of readers, and that has wonderful fantasy, spiritual and adventure elements. It’s also one of the few rich pre-awareness properties that exist out there.”
Thanks to ‘Daredevil’ for sending this in!
New ‘Dawn Treader’ Trailer Online
Posted August 5, 2010 1:00 am by glumPuddle 263 CommentsThe DVD release of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” includes a short new trailer for “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.” You can now watch a low-quality version of it on YouTube. The video is very poor, but the audio is excellent. Watch it below:
UPDATE: NarniaFans has posted a better-quality version (the aspect ratio is a bit off, making everything look tall and stretched, but the color looks much better):
And, here are good-quality screen captures of the new/updated shots:

The Latest Dawn Treader Banner in Theaters
Posted August 4, 2010 8:23 pm by fantasia_kitty 115 CommentsHuge thanks to Narnian1 for running out to the theaters for us and snapping a few pictures for us!
This banner first showed up on Narnianos a few weeks ago, but wasn’t confirmed to be a legitimate poster until after I was gone on vacation, so we’re a bit slow reporting on it.
Hopefully now that it’s out in theaters, we’ll be able to get our hands on a hi-res image of it!
UPDATE: NarniaWebber Jacob C sent in an image of a slightly different banner hanging on the outside of the movie theater.
Thanks to Jacob C for the image!
