Two New Voyage of the Dawn Treader Images

MTV is showing two brand new images from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The first image shows Lucy, Edmund looking at some old documents, likely on the Lone Islands. The second is an image of the Lucy, Edmund, Eustace and Caspian on a beach.

Wow! awesome.. can't wait till it comes out! Sail On Dawn Treader!

  2. FierceQueen says:

They brought the torch back! Hehe!

  3. The first image really confuses me, but both of these look awesome!

Good to see Edmund finally got his torch back. 😉

  4. Malfhok says:

Well, we've seen the second one before on the cover of a book… Only it was flopped.

The first one is cool, though. My bet is Narrowhaven.

  5. Narnia_Maniac says:

Very curious indeed! Nice to see the torch! ^^

  6. Northernranger says:

Sweet. I can't think of anything in the book that would go along with the first picture so it must be one of the new plots they added. The second one looks like the picture of the Pevensies in PC when they save Trumpkin. Keep the story of Aslan alive!!!

  7. Beren says:

my first impression was Narrowhaven too, but why in the world would they be sneaking around looking at old books there? I have a feeling this has to do with the lost souls deal or something…it feels sinister.

  8. Ugly Pig says:

The first one appears to have a rope hanging from above in the background… Presumably they had to climb down it to get to wherever they are??

  9. Son of Rillian says:

I like The first picture, because we get to see something different.

  10. eustacegirl says:

they called Gerogie Anna!!!!!! I AM APPALLED! Ok, just kidding. But seriously, THAT IS GEORGIE HENLEY!

  11. LB says:

if you go to the mtv site and look at the pictures, it looks like they mixed up the names and put anna popplewell instead of georgie henley ! i know anna is supposed to make a cameo, but i dont think her name it supposed to be mentioned with the main characters lol :O

  12. Arden says:

The second caption is messed up on MTV's site. They have Will Poulter confused with Will Moseley. . .

  13. LB says:

and they mixed up will poulter with will mosley ! ahaha shows how much mtv watches these movies 😛

  14. NextJillPole says:

"I left my new torch in Narnia." Well it looks like he got it back! 🙂

  15. Silver the Wanderer says:

YES! YES! I was SO hoping they'd do that. I'd love for Caspian to pull it out when he gives Lucy her cordial back and say, "Oh and Edmund, you forgot this." 😛

  16. Starlily says:

What are they looking at in the first picture??? I'm a little worried about that, since it's obviously not in the book. I really hope it's not too weird. I keep hearing people talk about the leaked script and strange plotlines that involve slavers and the stone knife and seven swords and a soul-eating cave of doom… It's okay if you don't know what I'm talking about. It's probably better not to know. 😉

Anyway, cool pictures. But I'm really curious what that document says in the picture…

  17. decarus says:

Edmund has his torch. They brought that back since he left it in Narnia.

  18. Kotarki says:

    (cough) belltower scene (cough)

  19. WillowofNarnia says:

YES!!! Edmund's got his torch back!!! 😀 😀 😀 Caspian looks amazing, and so do the rest. That first picture really makes me curious. What are they looking at I wonder? Can't wait to see the movie!

  20. LL says:

    I know! So unreliable…
But this picture of Ben and Skandar is worth a thousand words <3

  21. true-narnian_queen says:

    LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. decarus says:

    Definitely Narrowhaven.

  23. Tribunal says:

Well the look of both of these images is just amazing, much better than anything shown in the trailers/ clips that have been released.

My faith on this film has been renewed!

  24. Queen Elizabeth says:

Hurray for the torch! I wonder how they found it though to give back to Edmund. Maybe Caspian was walking around and was like, "Hey it's Edmund's torch!"

  25. LB says:

haha so true ! the important names they got right, thats all that matters 🙂

  26. Queen Elizabeth says:

I know right! They did the same thing with the guys names. I love the second picture the most. New trend! High waisted pants! haha and Lucy and Caspian look like they almost have matching belts. haha

  27. decarus says:

Well it was left in Caspian's castle.

  28. Kathy says:

Well, the slavers part actually happens in the book, I remember. So at least that's canon?

  29. NarnianRebel says:

IT'S HIS TORCH!!!! Haha! I like both of them! The first one makes me feel adventurous!

  30. alinebrz says:

The second one reminded me a lot about Pirates of Caribean… they are all so amazing! Can't wait!!!!

  31. Malfhok says:

Yeah, I don't know. I guessed it was Narrowhaven based on the rope hanging down.

Maybe they're just looking for the records of something that they need to get after Gumpas with. Can't wait to find out.

  32. Starlily says:

You're right, there are slavers in the book, and I won't mind if they're given a slightly bigger role at Narrowhaven. But I hope there aren't any silly added scenes like I heard about in the leaked script. And if the slavers DO slide down ropes in the bell tower (as it's rumored they'll do), I fervently hope it won't be too cheesy. The image in my mind's eye is pretty ridiculous right now…

  33. wolfloversk says:

Hah! Yes that would be AWESOME!!!

  34. Talvi says:

heeey Edmund got a new torch! <3 I was under the impression he'd used it as a lock to keep the door closed during the night raid, and it broke then, but I guess not! woo hoo!

Love both pictures… though the second one looks like a reversed image of the book cover we saw earlier… the 'Quest for the Lost Lords' or something like that?
I shouldn't be posting with no sleep, lol. but it doesn't matter, love both pics! *saves*

  35. always narnian says:

O Wow, neat. But how would Edmund have his 'torch' with him. Did he just have it in his pocket or something when they were in Eustace's room before they left for Narnia?!?!?! Really now!!!!!

  36. Talvi says:

Well, they might actually BE matching, lol! If I can remember correctly from the book, Lucy just borrowe Caspian's clothes. He could very well have a couple of matching belts! XD Either way, the second image rocks – the 'new trend' of high pants, as you said, suits them! XD

  37. Edmund's torch got left in Narnia. Obviously Caspian found it and brought it with him on the voyage then gave to Edmund once they appeared in Narnia.

  38. Lucy says:

(laughs happily through her tears). Aw, there's no hurt Narnia can't soothe! I was all upset, crying and feeling sorry for myself to no end, and then I saw the new pictures and I actually smiled. And I'm very glad Ed got his torch back! Good for him! At least things go right for SOMEONE even if they are a character from a fictional story.

  39. daughter of the King says:

Belltower scene anyone? Presumably finding something about the seven swords of the seven lost lords in the malevolent mist which causes dreams of a gone-green White Witch.

  40. glumPuddle says:

Did they seriously recover Ed's torch after he left it in Narnia?

  41. Rilian says:

    With what? Narnian batteries?

  42. Lylanarniafan says:

    hahaha
    🙂

  43. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

Well, he could have left it in a place that made it easy to locate. And if they did find, you could be sure they would preserve it. After all, it is the only object they would have that had belonged to Pevensies.

  44. Queen Elizabeth says:

The thing about the belts is probably true. I forgot that she borrows his clothes. But they fit so well! lol

  45. Queen Elizabeth says:

    That is true. 🙂

  46. MurtaghLuv says:

    LUV THEM!!! cant wait!!!!

  47. MurtaghLuv says:

I bet caspian found it. and decided to keep it.
    thats interesting

  48. LadyCourage says:

Very interesting! Lucy and Caspian are wearing the same belt in the second picture… Except I think Lucy's is a bit more narrow. Eustace isn't in the first one either… I agree with the bell tower idea, because that rope looks awfully thick just to be for climbing down. Looks more like a bell rope to me.

  49. narnian resident says:

Edmund found his torch!!! haha i wonder if Caspian had kept that too! that is too cool 😀
anyway, that first image is really awesome! it looks so cool! and the second one is just that picture from the book cover flipped. thats cool too, cuz it always looks cool 🙂

  50. Talvi says:

Just rewatched the night raid… yep, used as a lock, and coulda sworn it broke when the two telmarines broke down the door.
I'm being a stickler, I know. XD maybe he got a new torch? *shrugs* Either way I like that he has one. 😀

  51. narnian resident says:

thats beautiful, Lucy 🙂 it always makes me feel better too, no matter how sad i am

  52. Nice pictures. But honestly, can we get an "AMEN" that Caspian looks SO much hotter and mature in this than in Princ Caspian? Even if it has only been 3 Narnia years and 1 Earth year, so much better lol. And Edmund and Lucy definetly look more suitable. =)

  53. narnian resident says:

and the stone knife and seven lords are part of it too. the seven lords are a BIG part of it! they are the reason for their quest. and there is a scene where they see the stone knife the Witch had killed Aslan with on the food table at Ramandu's island.

  54. narnian resident says:

ha that would be the perfect line for Caspian if he gives it back!
@Rilian: thats really funny! made me laugh 😀

  55. captain_J-Rock says:

he he he, they have a candle sitting right there and they have Edmund's torch back…..*raises eyebrow and grins* Love the pics!

  56. Umm. Okay.

Are they in a cave in that first pic? The room has pillars… and what's that blue thing? A gem set in the pillar, or a lens flare? Notice the rope behind them. They climbed DOWN into this place.

I hope it's not an underground cave.

    *LOST SOULS!*

Annnnd the infamous torch is back. I wonder why they did that. The batteries would for sure have died by then, and a torch would've served the purpose better while adding a fantasyish feel to the scene.

Doesn't make sense logistically, but whatever.

Will Poulter looks great in that second pic.

  57. Mirima Rosetrader says:

Awesome! I'm so excited! Long live Aslan! Sail on VDT! 😀
