The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Theatrical Poster

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader theatrical poster was debuted on a Polish film website today. Like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian theatrical posters before it, the Dawn Treader poster is a collage of the main characters with one the title character (in this case the ship itself) being front and center. Check it out!

The approximate translation of the tagline is: “Take a Voyage of Adventure and Discover Narnia As You’ve Never Seen It Before”

Hopefully we’ll get the English version of the poster soon!

Thanks to icarus via MundoNarnia for the heads up!

UPDATE: Here is the English version of the poster.

Thanks icarus and Daredevil for the heads up!

Not only that, DragonEustace looks like he belongs in Jurassic Park! 🙁

  2. QueenLucytheValient says:

It's nice, but I don't like Aslan's picture or the dragon. THe dragon is sooo odd.

  3. Neverland Child says:

COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the dragon! It's werid and awesome!!

  4. Northernranger says:

That was my first thought too!!

  5. HighQueenofNarnia says:

*hands consolation cookies to everyone is depressed by the poster*

This isn't the best, but it's all right.
-The DT looks splendid! Even if the "N" is backwards.
-The dragon looks very fake. Please improve.
-Reep looks only slightly cheesy. Take heart; at least he's not on the poster twice! 😉
-The WW looks rather awful and shouldn't really be there; Lilliandil should.
-I love that picture of Caspian!
-I have to say I dislike Edmund looking like that. I have seen better pictures of him. It appears he's holding the sword like a baseball bat. 😉
-I also dislike Lucy. She needs to look more fresh and lively.
-Is there an island behind the DT? I can't really tell.
-Eustace looks amazing!! That picture is awesome!!

At least the water looks real. Imagine what a flop the film would be if the water looked fake.

  6. HighQueenofNarnia says:

Does Aslan remind anyone else of Merlin?

  7. JustANarnianFanFromEngland says:

    LOL! Totlally!

  8. JustANarnianFanFromEngland says:

I am not sure which 'N' is backwards and Eustace doesn't look that good or like Will Poulter.

  9. pselpevensie says:

I LOVE IT!!!!!!! tho i'm not too happy with the WW being on the poster…

  10. Queen Elizabeth says:

Alson looks terrible, a bit sinister
not the kind loving lion we all know and love

  11. Queen Elizabeth says:

    Sorry I meant Aslan

  12. Queen Elizabeth says:

Dragons should have arms 🙂 and Reep is just smiling! He is not at all chipmunk-ish

  13. Tauriel says:

Is it just me or does DragonEustace look like a Krillitane (from Doctor Who)? 😛

  14. Louloudi the Centaur says:

To me, Dragon Eustace reminds me a bit of Draco from Dragonheart. At least they got the sail color right.

  15. Louloudi the Centaur says:

Oh, and Aslan forgot to shave he lower beard off.

  16. Aslans-mane says:

im not sure i like the idea of jadis on there, and i think the dragon looks REALLY fake, but otherwise it looks really good!!!

  17. kelley says:

Its okay….im not like blown away but its alright, but why is lucy soo touched up like anyone else noticed how much editing they gave her, everyone looks pretty natural and all that, but she looks so different! Its a little weird, like i think she's pretty enough they didn't have to retouch her face just because she's the only girl on the poster (other than the white witch i guess.) she's not supposed to be hot, shes supposed to be a little kid..lol idk…i like the prince caspian ones better but I can live with this

  18. Bookwyrm says:

The N on the Dawn Treader's sail

  19. Bookwyrm says:

Sadly that's a more normal looking Lucy than some of the other posters we've seen featuring her.

  20. Queen Elizabeth says:

Yea, Jadis should not even be in the movie, let alone the poster. She is comepletely added. At least every other element of the movie is from the book just in a different order, except for the seven swords. But that is just replacing the seven lords.

  21. Casue says:

Aslan looks like he just had some gas.
    Clear the room gas.
Why did they make him lok sinister????

  22. gracie says:

Aww come on it doesnt look that bad i really like it 🙂

  23. Skandar's girl says:

What is with the dragon? That is sooo not what my imagination pictured, AT ALL!!! Aslan could use some help 🙁

  24. JustANarnianFanFromEngland says:

The dragon doesn't really look like the one on the first look at deathwater/goldwater. It looks sort of like the dragon from the shrek movies. 🙁

P.S. Is it me or is Eustace a dragon for a lot longer? We know they have Dragon Island because it says so on the Voyage of the Dawn Treader Website but he is also on the picture for death water and in the trailer where is he when they meet Liliandil? Micheal Apted said that there is no fighting until the end where there is is an epic battle between Dragon Eustace and the Sea Serpent. In the third of the three clips that were online Eustace speaks about how he was transformed by Aslan when they go across the sea with the lilies. Why would you still be going on about it then? I hope I am wrong. 🙁

  25. Mirima Rosetrader says:

    Awesome! 😀

  26. d'aurore says:

I don't think this will be the final theatrical poster. Cause there are no credits at the bottom.

But it reminded me of a Wizard of Oz/Sea-starry/LWW motif. It's like a kind of a design you see when you go into a Christian Bookstore and look at the Children's section. Also, the Dawn treader looks good until you notice the "boo-boo" parts; Aslan looks great here but I really liked the one in the teaser poster. Aslan and the White Witch only suited this layout. The rest of them looked awkward.

It also looks so surreal, but in a good way. Maybe that's what they want, to recapture the "magic" of Narnia in the Wardrobe film and not the realism of the Caspian film. And that's great if Fox and Walden want to keep this f!

As a graphic artist, I actually think this poster is good. It's magical, but not that epic. I guess I kinda expected more when I saw the grandness of the teaser poster. Oh God, I hope this will not be the final poster. I'm just saying.

  27. Duffleglum says:

    haha! I know, right?

  28. greenbird37 says:

    This looks so cool!!

  29. Jillhope says:

It looks so FAKE!!!!!!!!! And I can't handle the white witch being there.. *Sigh* what has the world come to?

  30. Queen Elizabeth says:

Chill out people it's just a poster.

  31. Queen Susan the Gentle says:

This is neat! I also checked on aslanscountry.com and they have the American/English one.

  32. Queen Susan the Gentle says:

This is neat! I also saw the English one on Aslan's Country!

  33. Omac the centaur says:

In the book he put the gold ring on his arm and then woke up a dragon… still had an arm. so, ya, he did have arms. 🙂

  34. Alambil and Tarvis says:

    THE DRAGON!!!!!
