Transition to Narnia Video

Clevver TV has recently uploaded to the internet a clip of the transition to Narnia scene. Some footage of the arrival that we have previously seen is missing from this, but there is also new material. This includes Caspian’s much-debated first line to Lucy. For those of you worried, there’s no Susan in it.

Thanks to Grant Wilson, Pepper Darcy, and NolanFilm for the heads up!

    Very awesome!!!!

  2. Mayor Wilkins says:

That was VERY close to the book. At least the scene in the bedroom.
    Very nice. 😀

  3. adamie says:

Indeed, it is edited, but you wouldn't say if you hadn't saw the other material. It looks good. And the music that plays when the room is filling up with water, is brilliant!

  4. NarniaQueen411 says:

    wow…epic

  5. Jocy says:

    it's so cool!
    awesome…

  6. Pepper Darcy says:

OH yay! I'd already seen this two or three times before I sent it in! 😀 Oh… and by the way, my sis and I *know* from the first clips we saw of this that this is really edited, especially because Ed's rhyme about Eustace isn't in there, nor is Eustace's little thing about people like Lu and Ed being burdens etc. I love this clip! Ed's 'yeah' cracks us up. So does the way Lu says 'Caspian!' 😀

  7. narnian4ever says:

    yay=D awesome!!

  8. Rilian says:

    Yay! Caspian doesn't yell, "Susan!"

  9. NarnianRebel says:

  13. WarriorOfNarnia says:

    HELP!!!! i CAN'T SEE IT!!

  14. Nieke says:

This is so good! I love how they kept it so close to the book.

  15. A_Narnian_Ship says:

Georgie's acting seems a little forced in that first bit.

  16. TrueNarnianWithWill says:

    WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Aslan's my Homeboy says:

This movie is going to blow my mind! I am so excited!

  18. Savber100 says:

The scene does seem heavily-edited in some parts but hurray for us if the producers took out that part.

  19. aslan's child says:

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GOD I HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE RIGHT NOW.I WISH IT WAS DEC 10.I LOVED THE WAY LUCY SAID CASPIAN AND HE SAID LUCY!!!!LOL ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT AND EXACTLY LIKE THE BOOK!!!!CANT WAIT

  20. Bother Eustace says:

So exciting! Can't believe in a month I'll finally be seeing this movie! Sail on, VDT!

  21. Rhys says:

This makes it sound a lit better than the first trailer. It was all a but too wooden then, but now it's wonderfully performed.

  22. Rhys says:

  23. ~Lava~ says:

I am pretty sure that the bedroom scene (that sounds awkward 🙁 ) I think I will call it the painting scene instead sounds like there are definitely gaps

  24. narnianprofessor says:

Cause of course that's what you're supposed to do when water starts pouring out of a picture………smash the old thing. 🙂

  25. WarriorOfNarnia says:

That was really good. The acting when they came up in Narnia wasn't so groovy.

  26. WarriorOfNarnia says:

I wonder if this is the actual music from the movie.

  27. wild rose says:

yay AWESOME!!!!! I just loved it!!!!! My sister's and I are dancing around the room with joy!!!! Ohhhh I can hardly wait till it comes out, a month's time seems far to long!!

  28. Narnia Freak says:

Absolutely, Positively, Brilliantly, AWESOME!!!!!! Less than a month left!!!

  29. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

Nice to hear a little bit of the soundtrack.

  30. Louloudi the Centaur says:

Wow. That was amazing. Obviously what we won't see in the movie, but still…

  31. Mina says:

It's pretty edited so we don't actually know that. (I love Ed's rhyme which was edited out.) I don't actually mind if he does yell Susan, I think it'd be cute, and actually kind of contradicts what Lucy thinks of herself in terms of beauty. Then again they're all sopping wet, so who's he to know who he grabbed? "Hold on," had me laughing for some reason.

  32. LL says:

Love the music!!!! Especially when they're in the water and Caspian comes up to save them!!!

  33. Obsessed says:

AGH! I can't wait to see the movie! I'm gonna die from anticipation! I jut hope that it won't be too messed up…

  34. Narnian Meerkat says:

Ohhhhhh, I'm SO relieved that Caspian doesn't yell "I'll save you Susan!" Or does he? They could've cut it out.
Um. . . .I kinda really hope that isn't the real music the're going to use. 'Cause it kinda sounds cheesy. . .Oh, well, as long as the movie's good! 🙂

  35. Starlily says:

Yes, it's so nice to see something actually following the book! I wish we could see it un-edited, though. I have a feeling the Susan line is still there, it's just been cut out for this clip. Still love it though! I'll say it again–it's so close to the book!

  36. Fire Fairy says:

Definitely heavily edited, with a few parts that are a little shaky, but the scene looks like it'll be really nice in the actual movie. The music sounds really good, although I'm not sure whether that's the actual music that's been cut (since the video's been edited) or if it's just something they just threw in. Doesn't sound like the latter, though, so it's nice to get a sneak peek of the music. Will's acting is fantastic, and Georgie's and Skandar's and Ben's acting has definitely improved. Couldn't hear some of it very well, though. Oh, well. Most definitely looking forward to the finished product!

  37. Starlily says:

I watched it a second time, and I realized anew that Caspian is so much better without a fake accent! (Sorry, I know not everyone will agree) He seems much more real and appealing and…well…I really like it. *blushes* I can't wait to seem him mature as a character.

  38. Edson07bs says:

Oh, I think you are right!!!

  39. Narnian Meerkat says:

Are you sure you can see it on Youtube?

  40. Twinimage says:

Very cool. Does feel very edited though. Obviously there's more to this scene. Looking forward to it. 🙂
Even if Caspian yells Susan's name at some point, I really don't think it will bug me… What I'm worried about is if there's more than just one mention over Susan, which could be very likely.

  41. Narnian Meerkat says:

Yeah, I kinda like it too I guess. Or I think I'm just getting used to it. But I still miss his accent. It threw out alot better that he was a Telmarine.

  42. StephanieTheFaithful says:

I love Lucy's and Caspian's little moment (?) and Will is just brilliant in this clip but I do miss Ed's rhyme about Eustuce. My Goodness I can't wait for this movie and also the music is really nice too! Glad to hear more of the soundtrack.

    Stephanie

  43. Samuel the Magnificent says:

I hate that line, "I'll smash the old thing!" No one would say that when water is pouring out of a frickin painting. It seemed awfully short too and not quite dramtic in my opinion. But, otherwise it was great because the acting was a lot better. The acting was really cheezy in the first trailer. But, this scene still looked really edited so I'm sure the actual movie will be a lot better.

  44. Scarlet13 says:

WOW! Thats really edited! But Still Its AWESOME!!!! CAN. NOT, WAIT!

  45. Greg says:

This looks good!I always thought that the beginning before the painting comes to life was full of music, but I guess silence helps make the scene more tense.

  46. frothybeans45731 says:

I love Eustace. Will Poulter is great. XD

  47. FaunFan says:

Yay, no Susan! I LOVE this scene. It's very close to the book, no Suspian, and Will Poulter is amazing!

  48. Queen Susan the Gentle says:

This is cool! I wasn't brave/silly enough to listen to the words. Don't want to totally spoil everything for myself. Just me though. Nothing against anyone else. 🙂

  49. Ugly Pig says:

Could the music in this clip be the our first taste of the actual score? It DOES sound VERY David Arnold like…

  50. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
    Must.
    Go.
    To.
    Narnia.

  51. Em says:

    Absolutely Fab!!!

  52. GlimGlum says:

I don't know but I think it is. Really nice to hear a bit and it does sound like something David Arnold would write. 🙂

  53. narnian resident says:

oh thank God there's no Susan mentioned!!!! why on earth then did they go and freak us out telling us there was??? how annoying! it looks great. of course very choppy because they just threw the shots together, but i cant wait to see the full thing!

  54. narnian resident says:

yes, i do agree. from the first clips we were beginning to see, and even in the trailer, it almost seemed that her acting isnt as genuine as it was before. i suppose its because she's not a little kid anymore and acting is now basically a job. i do hope its better in other parts, because i love Lucy, and Georgie has done an amazing job in the first two and i really hope that getting older doesnt take away that genuinity she has.

  55. Mina says:

The direct quote is "I'll smash the rotten thing." And due to the shortness, it's probably edited. We've gotten other footage from this scene that wasn't in there.

  56. Edmundsdefender says:

I was very skeptical about this movie, but after seeing the last preview, Carrie Underwood's song and this, I'm cautiously hopeful and beginning to be excited to see the film. Did anyone else notice that it sounds like Caspian is saying "glug, glug" to Lucy when he looks at her right before they're lifted up. I'm not kidding. It really does sound like that……

  57. BuddingActress says:

OK, can anyone tell me exactly what was said here? I'm partially deaf so I didn't catch it.

  58. Gem says:

I am just constantly surprised how old Georgie looks. She has so grown up from the pixie-faced little girl wearing jumpers in LWW!!

  59. LucyP0104 says:

HAHA! Oh my goodness, you're right! That's definitely NOT what he says, but it's pretty hilarious. Thanks.
