Narnia: The Exhibition Opens in Two Cities this Week
Posted January 24, 2011 2:00 pm by fantasia_kitty 43 CommentsUpdating our news on the official Narnia Exhibition traveling across North America. The Exhibition opens today in Buffalo, New York. Originally it was reported that it would open on Feb. 5, but that date has been moved up.

The second Narnia exhibition is also opening this Saturday in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at the TELUS World of Science museum.

‘Dawn Treader’ Hits the $100 Million Domestic Mark

Overseas, the movie brought in another $8 million dollars bringing the foreign total to approxmiately $265.8 million.
The worldwide total is now up to just over $366 million.
Dawn Treader will release in Venezuela next weekend and Japan in one month.

The Amazon detail pages don’t have any information about special features on the disc, though it’s probable that in addition to the usual making-of features there could be several extra scenes which were removed from the theatrical release. We expect that more information about the DVD will be released soon.

No Golden Globe for Narnia

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader song had been nominated for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture, but the award went to “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” from Burlesque instead.

Dawn Treader Award Nominations News Update

Bad news first, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was in the running for a Best Visual Effects Academy award, but did not make it into the next round of finalists in this category.
The good news is, Dawn Treader is a finalist for two BAFTA awards — Special Visual Effects and Costume Design. The full list of nominees can be seen on BAFTA’s website here. The document can be downloaded as a Word or PDF file.
And last but not least, Dawn Treader has also received a nomination for Best Fantasy Film by the Art Director’s Guild. That full list can be seen here.

Dawn Treader Blu-ray Release Date – April 13?

Last month, we reported that the Walden and Fox were hoping to release The Voyage of the Dawn Treader on DVD and Blu-ray around Easter 2011.
Blu-ray.com is reporting that The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be available on Blu-ray, April 13 for Region B.
(Region B includes most European, African and southwest Asian countries plus Australia and New Zealand. The USA is in Region A.)
It seems likely that it would be released around the same time for the United States, but thus far, I’ve been able to find anything to confirm this.
