NarniaWebber icarus writes: “There appears to be some sort of interview with Anna Popplewell being broadcast on an internet podcast this Wednesday at 8pm (UK Time) [that's 3pm ET and 11am PT], though it seems the interview itself was recorded way back in March at the Memorabilia Event in Birmingham, so I wouldn’t expect there to be anything VDT related, but it might be worth a listen anyhow.”

VDT to Open Against Another Movie: The Tourist

Sony Pictures announced today that they will open The Tourist, a romantic thriller starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, on Dec. 10 — the same day The Voyage of the Dawn Treader opens in theaters in the USA. The Fighter, starring Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg, and Amy Adams opens the same day. The full press release is available here.

Shockya.com has a story on three new pictures from the filming of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The only thing is, they’re not new. At least not for all of the Narnia fans following Dawn Treader news since last year.

All three images are in our gallery and have been since they were sent to us by Tamara when she snapped them last September. But it’s always nice to bring them up again for those who may not have been around or forgotten about them, so here they are…

The Supply Search Game on Narnia.com

Yes, the game Supply Search has been available for a few days now on Narnia.com. But only just today was I able to get it to work to report on it (and even so, I was only able to get it to work on Firefox).
The game is accessible by sailing to the Magician’s Island and clicking on Lucy’s figure as she enters the Magician’s House.

There are four different images from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and in each one you have to spot differences before you can move on. And of course, that gets harder with each picture.

The DailyRecord Interviews Will Poulter

The DailyRecord.co.uk interviewed Will Poulter about his participation in the upcoming Fringe festival in Edinburgh. And of course, a mention of his role as Eustace in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader came up.

“It was nerve-wracking taking on a character who is so well-known. Everyone has a picture of Eustace and how he is.
“Trying to encapsulate that was daunting. I’m sure I haven’t been able to do that but I hope I’ve done my best. I know it’s annoying reading book then seeing a film and being disappointed with the character.”
Skandar and Georgie both gave him advice but he claimed it was too early to know how it will feel to be in such a big movie with so many fans around the world.
“Of course it depends on my performance how I’m taken by the fans. It’s a bit of a worry.”

The September issue (#255) of Empire Magazine includes a Q&A session with Tom Rothman and Jim Gianopulos who are both the Co-Chairmen and Co-CEOs of 20th Century Fox. They answered questions submitted by readers, and one of them was about Narnia:

Q: “You now distribute the Narnia franchise, which was with Disney. What do you see in it that the Mouse House didn’t?” – Annette Symons, Reading.
JG: “We saw the strength of an iconic and everlasting property that has endured for all these years and for tens of millions of readers, and that has wonderful fantasy, spiritual and adventure elements. It’s also one of the few rich pre-awareness properties that exist out there.”
