Peter Jackson Looks Forward To LWW

Stuff.co.nz reports that Peter Jackson, director of Lord of the Rings and the upcoming King Kong, wants a ticket to the $NZ210 million adaptation of C S Lewis’ children’s story The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, according to its Kiwi director Andrew Adamson. Adamson said this week he was regularly in contact with Jackson. “He emailed me the other day and said it is the film he was looking forward to seeing over Christmas.” International media, who were treated to a showing of the film this week under a review embargo, praised Adamson for giving it a heart, humour and a fairytale quality. Narnia… Another Missed Opportunity for Blinkered Belfast

Belfast Telegraph writer Gail Walker is upset because Belfast, Ireland, C.S. Lewis’ native city doesn’t have Narnia promotional plans. This article is actually quite funny as Walker lists several ideas and then ends with “The only thing I’ve heard mentioned so far is a CS Lewis reading room in the library at Queen’s University. Yep. Maiden of Narnia writes us about the Narnia flash games now available at the Disney.com shop. You have to complete 4 levels to turn winter in Narnia into spring. The four levels are Lucy and the Statues, Peter and the Battlefield, Edmund and the Witch, and finally Susan and the Horn. Some of the games are action-oriented and some games are puzzles that must be solved. Be sure to check back on November 21 for a chance to win a trip to the Premier in London.

IGN Reviews Narnia PS2 Game

IGN.com has posted their review for the Narnia video game for PS2. Here is a clip: “Peter, the oldest sibling, is the strongest melee character so he’s best used as a grunt fighter. Peter’s younger brother, Edmund, can climb trees and poles. Lucy, the youngest, can crawl through narrow spaces. And Susan, the eldest sister, can throw snowballs and fire arrows.” IGN also warns that the game has high-quality clips from the movie, which makes it very spoiler heavy. Read the full article here.
