New Front Page on Official Site

Posted October 15, 2005 3:20 pm by glumPuddle

Narnia.com has a new front page. And, if you click “View Trailer,” you can watch a shorter version of the Teaser Trailer (here is a downloadable link). This is NOT a new trailer. There is no new footage, but a few shots (the wagon ride, Susan saying “Impossible,” and the stone bridge) appear just a tiny bit longer. The last half of the trailer has been re-edited and they’ve added some drums to the music. Thanks to NarniaWebber ‘fenris ulf’ for the heads up!

Tilda Swinton Story at The Independant

Posted October 13, 2005 8:47 pm by Tirian

Tilda Swinton was Sleeping Beauty in 1995, when she climbed inside a glass case at the Serpentine Gallery and dozed, eight hours a day, for Cornelia Parker’s exhibit The Maybe. But as the White Witch in a live-action adaptation of CS Lewis’ classic The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, she is undoubtedly perfect casting. Her statuesque limbs, ghostly white skin, green eyes and shock of red hair lend her an ethereal presence that has already seen her play the archangel Gabriel in this year’s Constantine. NarniaWebber Jints sent this in: Britvic is to invest GBP2m behind its Robinsons brand as part of its sponsorship of the forthcoming Walt Disney & Walden Media film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The campaign is the brand’s largest ever film promotion, topping support for Disney Pixar’s 2003 film Finding Nemo by 25%. The promotion will be backed by TV advertising and Narnia promotions will feature on all Robinsons packs. “This is a superb opportunity for retailers to tap into the potential of a major film partnership,” said Robinsons brand controller Jonathan Gatward. “The Narnia franchise will generate huge media and public buzz.” Consumers of Robinsons will be able to win holidays to Prague and Lapland as part of the promotion. No one reads a guide that is dull. This guide is not dull! It is as pleasurable as the Chronicles themselves.” Read the review here.
