Young Cast “Inseparable”

Posted September 13, 2005 3:23 am by Clipsie

The October issue of Teen Vogue reportedly contains this tidbit: When “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” hits theatres in December, audiences will get their first glimpse of the young actors who will bring the beloved characters to life. After an exhaustive search across England, the filmmakers found a cast that soon became inseparable. “It’s funny,” says Will Moseley, after almost a year on location, “how much we’re like a real family.” He became best friends with Anna Popplewell, a partner-in-crime to the prank-pulling Skandar Keynes, and a constant source of comfort and guidance to his on-screen little sister, Georgie Henley. “As corny as it sounds,” Will says, “I think we were cast for these parts because we’re so much like them in real life.” See the pictures here in our gallery.

Motive Entertainment at Night of Joy

Posted September 11, 2005 2:01 pm by glumPuddle

This weekend at Night of Joy, I had the opportunity to speak with Clayton, Promotions Manager at Motive Entertainment. Clayton designed the Narnia passport and the Narnia Resources website. He showed me the passport and said that Douglas Gresham carefully looks though everything they do before approving it. Originally, they were going to have quotes from Christian writers in the passport but Gresham decided against it. He explained that Gresham sees this film as a great opportunity for outreach, but doesn’t want it to seem “overly-Christian.” He also revealed that the Narnia Resource DVD will have the trailer, the Behind-the-Magic featurettes, interviews with Douglas Gresham and possibly some “prominent spiritual leaders.” -glumPuddle

Today, all Family Christian Stores received this letter from their home office: “Customers may present Night of Joy & Narnia Certificates from K-LOVE and Air1 entitling them to a free Night of Joy CD and Narnia sampler DVD. This is part of exclusive FCS promotions done with partnership with K-LOVE, Air1, EMI, Disney, Tyndale, Zondervan, and the CS Lewis Foundation.” But, unfortunately, FCS will not be receiving the DVDs until after September 30. FCS employees are told to explain to the customers that this is “due to production issues outside of FCS’ control.” FCS will contact the customers when the DVDs arrive. All Night of Joy attendees will receieve the free CD after the event (View CD here). The CD features 12 songs from various Christian artists and a “Behind-the-Scenes of Music Inspired by LWW” bonus track with interviews with Steven Curtis Chapman, Bethany Dillon, Chris Thomlin, and Jeremy Camp.
