Rhythm & Hues Use Truelight Color Accuracy System

Digital Producer has an interesting story on Rhythm & Hues’ purchase of the Truelight color accuarcy system to allow employees to check color at the click of a button. The company plans to use the system first on the upcoming film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Rumor: Narnia Trailer to Be Attached to SW3

According to JoBlo.com the trailer for the Chronicles of Narnia will be attached to the prints of Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith being released on May 19, 2005.

MASSIVE Used on Narnia

MASSIVE, the breakthrough crowd animation tool used throughout the Lord of the Rings films has been used in conjunction with Narnia. Dan Smiczek said, “We were working with Massive on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe…” See the whole press release about the usage of MASSIVE with the film Elektra at Digital Producer Magazine.

Two New Interviews

In a Dark Horizons interview, Tilda Swinton says: “[Andrew Adamson] is not interested in special effects anymore so everything’s real, so you have real creatures. In other words, you don’t have, as in Lord of the Rings, 500 extras that are doubled up to make 7,000. but actually have all of those people in all of those suits, being all of those mythical creatures.” Recharge Magazine also interviewed the screenwriters and they say that in the film, Susan will be the voice of the author. Watch out for this interview, though, as it has some crass moments.

German Release Date Moves to December 8th

According to NarniaFilms.nl – the German release date for LWW has been moved from December 15th up to December 8th. That’s one day before it’s released in the United States! Thanks to NarniaWebber Silvio for the heads up!

Narnia Standee Pops Up In Germany

TheOneLion.net has this story from Narnian Spy Runner: I went to see ’The Aviator’ this weekend in Trier, Germany, and spotted this advertisement for the upcoming Narnia film! Here’s the pic! Notice that the picture of Lucy and the lampost looks like it has been covered up. Another interesting note is that the German version of the film is called “The King of Narnia”.
