‘Iron Man’ Jumps ‘Caspian’

Prince Caspian took in $13 Million in its third weekend, coming in at #5 for the weekend. The film has now earned $115 Million domestically in sixteen days. This is short of the $153 Million that The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe earned in the same time.

Two new films hit theaters this weekend. Sex in the City exceeded expectations with a $55.7 Million opening, while The Strangers, starring Liv Tyler, earned $20.7 Million. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull dropped to #2, but still took in $46 Million in its second weekend, bringing its domestic total up to $216 Million. Despite being in its fifth weekend, Iron Man jumped Prince Caspian, making $14 Million to claim the #4 spot.

Kung Fu Panda, from Dreamworks Animation, hits theaters this Friday.
