Ben Barnes Featured in Interview Magazine

The September 2008 issue of Interview Magazine has fairly sizable interview with Ben Barnes. There’s not much about Narnia, but they do talk about his upcoming project The Picture of Dorian Gray. Ben Barnes Online got ahold of a copy of the magazine and typed up the transcript which can be seen here. Images of the photoshoot can be seen here.

Boromir's Advocate, Narnia actors do have work outside of Narnia (this shouldn't be too surprising! These are jobs, after all). The Picture of Dorian Gray is one of my favourite novels, and I'm looking forward to the film. Good interview. I liked the part where he talks about Dorian Gray and its relation to today's society and our obsession with beauty. He's a good actor, it'll be interesting to see what he does with this character.

Dorian Gray is a fantastic novel and I can't wait for the movie. Ben is perfect for the part. For those unfamiliar with the book, it's the story of a strikingly handsome man who has his portrait painted, and over time, he remains young and handsome as the portrait changes, revealing the ravages of sin and age. The story says a lot about how we obsess about youth and beauty. Colin Firth also stars.
