A Few ‘Dawn Treader’ Figurines and Toys

There’s been very little in the way of merchandising for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader compared to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian, but some of the NarniaWebbers on our forum have dug up a few pieces which we thought might interest our merchandise collectors.

First of all, Hungry Jack’s in Australia (that’s theirΒ equivalentΒ of Burger King) has a new set of four toys available that come with their kids’ meal. You can check out the commercial for these toys on their Facebook page here.

Thanks to waggawerewolf27 and icarus for the story and these links!

There are also two sets of Dawn Treader porcelain figurines available from Europe.

Porceline Figures Set 2 Packaged

Thanks to Narnia France and Griffle for the pictures and story!

None of these pieces are available in the USA, so in order to purchase them, it will probably have to be done via eBay. As a side note, Griffle, our resident merchandise expert, has compiled all known pieces of Dawn Treader merchandise into this thread on our forum.

awesome!! πŸ™‚ Wish I lived in Europe or Australia! I'll prolly order some online! πŸ˜‰

  2. aslan'schild says:

second comment!!!!!!!!first time ever.the porceline figures look kinda weird looking but good all the same.

  3. Narnian Meerkat says:

    haha. . .they look funny. . .

  4. WarriorOfNarnia says:

    Uhhh, wow

  5. Pepper Darcy says:

drat. I keep hoping for action figures and a calendar and… I can't find *any* πŸ™

  6. Pepper Darcy says:

You made me laugh. Unfortunately if I bought it, I'd really laugh just looking at them. I'd look at them whenever I needed to laugh after that! πŸ™‚

    Oh great… we're getting snow πŸ˜›

  7. Pepper Darcy says:

I looked on Griffle's list. MAN! We don't get the action figures, illustrated guide… just about nothing! I'm going to have to find another action figure to parade around as Ithilwen! πŸ™ I was going to get Lucy… I can still get Hiccup πŸ™‚ And Toothless… looks like I'm NOT getting a Narnia calendar for 2011. Looks like I'm getting a How to Train Your Dragon one.

    πŸ™ I'm so sad now… πŸ™ OH well, I'll try and get a poster at least! πŸ™‚

  8. Mina says:

Susan and Peter are the easiest to pick out. Caspian looks like a girl…no offense.

  9. Louloudi the Centaur says:

Why can't we get anything good in the USA? All we get are posters and tie in books! Then again, Operation Christmas Child and a few other Christian groups are promoting the film, which might help…

  10. Griffle: that is the best merchandise collecting job i've ever seen! great work! πŸ˜€

Cyclops @ Aslan's Country said the US won't get any kids meal toys, i.e. nothing at your local Burger King. His source? Fox. ::sigh::

  11. Louloudi the Centaur says:

And I thought Fox wanted people to COME to the film. Barely anyone at school but me and a few other people know of this film coming in a few days. I know the marketing budget is much tighter than Prince Caspian, but could Fox have just spread it out a bit more evenly with the USA? A lot of the promotion seems to be in the UK and Australia.

  12. pselpevensie says:

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! HOPE THOSE TOYS COME TO BURGER KING!!! WISH I COULD GET THOSE PORCELAIN DOLLS!!!!!

  13. Louloudi the Centaur says:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they won't. AslansLily above said that they won't. Come on Fox, if you want the series to survive, do something in the USA! However, at NarniaFans, I found something under a bunch of positive reviews, someone said Dawn Treader is at #1 at the box office in Mexico at about $2.5 million US dollars.

  14. Queen Elizabeth says:

Reep is the same size as the dwarfs! HA!

  15. narnian resident says:

haha those porcelain figurines look kind of funny (especially Caspian), but they're super cool either way πŸ˜€

  16. DamselJillPole says:

Okay I was happy when I saw the second one, I wasn't going to buy these if it didn't consist of both Caspian and Lilliandil! Since it does, I'm going to buy them!

  17. okay, in the second picture, who's the last guy on the right with the beard supposed to be? Trumpkin? or Lord Bern…..?

  18. NarniaFan27 says:

Why isn't anything being released in the US? I can't even find the sountrack anywhere besides on amazon and barnes and noble. I mean, shouldn't it be on iTunes? What's going on? Do they want this movie to fail?

  19. yeah,u have a point there,liberty!

  20. NarNia is Z best says:

Hahahaha, Unfortunately all the action figures i have ever seen look pretty silly! witch is pretty sad!!! πŸ™

  21. NarNia is Z best says:

Hahaha, and Caspian looks like a girl!

  22. icarus says:

Its "Cruickshanks the Dwarf" played by Chris Cruickshanks. He doesn't really figure much in the movie, and isn't credited on the credits, but its a nice little inclusion for the figure set.

  23. Hwin says:

I am afraid these simply make me chuckle to myself!!!

  24. Mina says:

What is in the middle of Susan's dress? It looks like a blood wound. =D

  25. Aravis and Hwin says:

Yeah, I couldn't figure out if it was a girl or a boy at first! πŸ˜€

  26. Starlily says:

That's the first thing I thought! But I guess it might be a belt or something. Maybe I'll go look at the screen shots and try to figure it out.

  27. Starlily says:

Okay, I just thought of something. Why are there no toy DRAGONS? If they're going to sell figurines, they should at least do it right. The Dawn Treader ship and the dragon would probably be the most popular of all! I'd definitely buy them–if they only came to the US.

  28. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

    I know!! Isn't this bizarre????

  29. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

I was so loking forward to getting a dawn treader model!! what the frig, fox?? I don't understand this marketing AT ALL- the US still loves Narnia!!!! don't blame the public for Disney's mistakes!!!!!

  30. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

sorry, but those figurines are god awful——-

  31. Princess Lucy says:

hahaha i have just seen the commericial last last on channel nine…wow this is definitely going to get more people to watch it hehhee…i have a good feeling about this…whats not to like in the VDT…the effects alone are really going to make people watch it πŸ˜‰

  32. Reepicheep says:

Those kids' meal toys look dodgey.

  33. Sui-Lun says:

I remember when I was 7 yrs.old, I bought a happy meal and got Lucy and the White Witch! I thought Narnia was an adventure/horror movie made for teens! I feel so silly now!

  34. Amm says:

    coooooooooool

  35. FROM AUSTRALIA says:

yes, my children have already been asking me to take them to Hungry Jacks so they can start collecting the Narnia toys. They are only available for one month too.
Can't beleive they are not available in the USA!

  36. Warrior 4 Jesus says:

Someone's PM'd me asking if I could get them the set. Is there a way to get all 4 without having to buy four separate HJ's kid's meals? Thanks

  37. aly83 says:

I got a PM too. Yes you can buy them separate from the meal. Costs about $1+ ..can't remember exactly because hubby got it for me.

  38. T.A.Paxton says:

Me too. I can't wrap my brain around the idea that there is no Dawn Treader, Dragon or even a Eustace action figure. I mean, I don't expect it to have a ton like Tron, or Star Wars but good grief. Not even the basics?

  39. T.A.Paxton says:

Come to think about it, a Dawn Treader ornament for the christmas tree would be absolutely cool.
