Only five minutes of deleted scenes? Really disappointing.

  2. The Lady Arwen Undómiel says:

    What about Bloopers?

  3. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

it actually needed another half hour to make any sense. at least disney gave it the time it needed. sad.

  4. wolfloversk says:

At least one looks like a possible book scene.

  5. wolfloversk says:

Agreed, they really NEED to release an extended version.

  6. PeterCharn says:

I was really hoping for at least 15-20 Minutes to extend current scenes and add some new ones in that would help flesh out the plot and develop the characters a bit more.

I bet the reason why they dont' want to have more deleted scenes is because they don't want to do the computer animation cause it can get expensive.

  7. The Inscrutable Rutabaga says:

Wish there were more deleted scenes… still, looking forward to seeing them, especially the mutiny scene! 🙂

  8. ak says:

Not so concerned about deleted scenes, but I was hoping for a commentary and a little more behind-the-scenes stuff. I really enjoyed their commentaries on the first ones. I do know Fox has this weird "people don't want commentaries" theory though. Very annoying.

And yeah, the bloopers on the other ones were funny.

I hope this is an incomplete list.

  9. Starlily says:

Yeah, I was really hoping for more scenes. Even ten minutes would have been good. But maybe they didn't film as much as we would like to think. At least we'll get to see "Mutiny", which I've been curious about. 🙂

Hmm, I wonder why there is an ellipsis (…) after "The Kids in Narnia". Are there more scenes than they're naming? I hope so. I'm also hoping there will be more special features than are listed here, though I'm not holding my breath.

  10. glumPuddle says:

No extended edition… And with that, any hope of this being a not-terrible movie is gone. 🙁

    This is an anti-Lewis movie.

  11. glumPuddle says:

I'm really not sure even 30 minutes could make this plot make any sense. But it could help me get more emotionally involved at least. The whole story races by in a speeding blur. I can't get into it. It makes every scene feel insignificant.

  12. QueenSusanJ316 says:

Maybe if they do Silver Chair you will like it better.
Sorry you did not like Dawn Treader.

  13. Aslan's Meadow says:

Hey gPuddle. You never know…Silver Chair could turn out to be your dreams come ture (if they make it). But for know I'm sorry you were so dissapointed in the movie. I was also quit put out at the midnight showing…but now i'm ok with it. When in doubt sit with a cup of cocoa and read the ORIGINAL….which it better then anything…The Voyage of the Dawn Treader BY C. S. Lewis.

  14. J.J. says:

Those look good to me! I plan to buy it on DVD or Blu-ray on its release day.

  15. Mayor Wilkins says:

Never before have GP and I been in greater disagreement.
"Dawn Treader" was a great film.
In some ways, it was actually better than the book–That's right. I said it.
Bring on the Blu-Ray, baby. 😀

  16. Rilian The Disenchanted says:

The scènes in the Lone Islands don't need much CGI, they should be extended. I can hardly believe they would have filmed just 1 minute of fights and get done with it. There must be some footage left.

  17. Non-Negotiable Comment says:

The Blu-Ray will offer two considerable advantages over a theatrical view: I can see Dante Spinotti's cinematography without the abysmal 3D conversion, and I can turn the sound off.

  18. WillowofNarnia says:

Are there going to be bloopers??????? THERE HAS TO BE!!!!!!!!

  19. WillowofNarnia says:

And is this all that's going to be on the Blu-Ray????

  20. nice! love it!

    aw, no bloopers?

  21. Trufflehunter says:

Bring on the Extended Edition!!! (some time soon please!)

  22. pselpevensie says:

so sad that there are only a little over 5 min for deleted scenes and not even a full min of music vid? AND WHAT ABOUT BLOOPERS!

  23. yeswelovenarnia says:

Honestly only 5 min of deleted scenes??? And where are the bloopers?????? The other stuff looks cool enough, but in my opinion..they don't have enough! 🙁 kinda disappointed……

  24. Fireflower says:

Hey, we should be happy to get anything extra! I think the dvd/blu-ray will be awesome!

  25. Yeah, no gag reel? Come on, the other two had them! I want bloopers!

  26. Queen Su says:

I know! Five minutes is really pathetic…

  27. LL says:

We need bloopers!!!! They can do without the music video for heaven's sake! GRRR…

  28. I hope they have more deleted scenes… and BLOOPERS oh my God bloopers are just priceless I hope they add to this later, but for now looking good!

  29. narnian says:

Yes!! im with you!! the movie is awesome!!!! i don't like glumpuddle lol sorry!!! but this movie is amazing!!!!!

  30. narnian21 says:

Maybe there are more features because isn't it supposed to be 2-disc DVD?

  31. ChristProclamer says:

Please be a hoax. A 59-second MUSIC VIDEO? Just five minutes of deleted scenes? This is the most pathetic DVD release I've seen yet.

This whole film has been a joke. Forget Silver Chair; let's not even bother.

  32. Alambil and Tarvis says:

    BLOOPERS???? Where are the bloopers???

  33. Moonwood says:

Big, Big mistake not to have at least half an hour of deleted scenes, this is a wonderful movie, that is horribly edited ( who edited it ? maybe we should let him know how we feel ).
The obviously much more than 5 min of deleted scenes, could have changed A LOT for this movie's good

  34. Shastafan says:

I like what I'm seeing here, but I agree that if we don't get a extended edition, then we want all 30 minutes of the stuff they unfortunetely cut out. And the commentary, the bloopers, hmm… *crosses her fingers that there is more special features* 😉

  35. HighQueenofNarnia says:

True, true. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis is /much/ better than The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by Fox.

  36. DancingInRain says:

Umm I hope this list isn't completed! It /has/ to have bloopers! I mean, this is the first movie in 13months to go over $100,000,000 in US in the boxoffice for Fox!

  37. LB says:

UGH FOR REAL !!!!!! michael apted dont be a fool !

  38. the other Pevensie girl says:

HOLY HARFANG. This cannot be it! D: *pulls out all the stops* If you put the first paragraph on the AreaDVD webpage into Google Translate, it says that these are SOME of the features that will be on the DVD. Sooo hopefully this isn't it? Cause bloopers and a commentary with the actors were the two things I was most looking forward to, since I enjoyed them both so much in the first two films. And I have to agree, more deleted scenes would have been amazing, but it will be interesting to see which ones made it onto the DVD all the same.

  39. Queen Susan the Gentle says:

AWESOME!! Remember, the first two didn't include these. 😀

  40. LL says:

And seriously…Caspian not being on the cover is pure devilry!! He should be front and center with Edmund or it's not "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" ;:(

  41. Ted C says:

Aw, everyone's down on glumPuddle. My tears are forming a puddle…and now Im glum.

  42. Lucy says:

better than nothing, let's not get too pushy and whinny now. I mean, this IS fox and walden, THEY COULD HAVE DONE WHAT THEY DID FOR CITY OF EMBER AND GIVEN US NO EXTRA FEATURES AT ALL, SO LET'S ALL JUST TAKE WHAT WE CAN GET, SHALL WE? I personally am looking forward to those five minutes very much.

  43. Lucy says:

I loved the dawn treader movie!

  44. Alambil says:

Narnia Fans posted something that seemed a little more promising, if only slightly:

    http://www.narniafans.com/archives/11312

Make sure to read the whole thing, even some of the comments.

  45. Hwin says:

That DOES look *slightly* more promising!

  46. Hwin says:

I agree- those were my favorite parts of the special features as well :/

  47. lilims says:

No bloopers or audio commentary by the actors 🙁

  48. stateofgreen says:

I really don't think this is the actual final content of the DVD.

  49. DW says:

Seriously, glumPuddle…it just seems you are always trying to find a way to have a bad day and spread the misery. This is characteristic of this post and your youtube comments on this and previous movies. You can't just relax and enjoy watching a film – you have to sit around analyzing, analyzing, analyzing trying to find everything you can wrong with it and go out of your way to be disappointed. That's just sad, sir.

  50. Lion's Mane, you're right! I thought only 5 minutes of deeted scenes was bad enough, but NO BLOOPERS? What do they teach in movie schools these days???

  51. Rob W. Case says:

That's absolutely right. On the Prince Caspian blu-ray, this is an evident reality. If you look on the bonus features disc, and access the deleted scenes, you will find many aspects that are incomplete. For example, the fauns and the minotaurs are people with the "blue" pants on. I wonder if the deleted scenes will feature the remarks that were in the trailer, but weren't in the movie.

    Like…..
The fate of Narnia depends on you.
    –Liliandil

I can make you my king and much more.
    –The White Witch

    I wonder…..

  52. claireyy says:

    heheehehheeee i want bloopers : )

  53. Jill_Pole says:

    I also want a commentary with G.H, S.K, and W.P 🙂

  54. Savber100 says:

uhh… GP did enjoy the previous two movies so no idea of what you mean by his so-called constant misery. Being critical is not misery. I'm also not sure what you're trying to say about him just sitting back and enjoy the film. He DID that and after sitting back, he concluded that the film was poorly made and rather than just bashing it, he analyzed WHY he came to that conclusion.

  55. adamie says:

Yeah, I mean, it's not like GP is always negative, he's just critical. But he still likes stuff worth liking. He isn't praising the new film just because it is a new Narnia film, like others. He is honest with himself, instead of telling himself to feel good about a movie, simply bacause he wants to.

In the end, there isn't much about DT to be liked…

  56. Not Of This World says:

Youtube! LOL 🙂 I know! They need bloopers!

  57. Not Of This World says:

    Yes!!!
