The first time seeing the movie I really enjoyed it and it was an experience that takes me back. The problem I had with it was there was no Extended Edition, this the same problem I had with Prince Caspian. It was for obvious reasons that Prince Caspian not doing so well at the Box office that there was going to be No Extended Edition, and I guess that can be said for Dawn Treader. It seems like there was a lot that Adamson and Apted both messed up on individually for each of the respective films. Besides What is the point of making an extended version for only one film and not for others especially if the films are based of an author who has been dead for who-knows how long? Besides to me there's so much that's missing from the books. I just really don't like the fact that there is not a Extended Edition of Caspian or Dawn Treader.

Besides in my mind as a Director I would never turn away from what an author writes. I would 100%% of the time only focus on scenes that truly relate to what an author says in a particular book. This is why the franchise is not doing so well. The First one (LWW) was a success because its true to its book. The other two, well Caspian in some parts of the movie are true, but at the same time are not, in my mind they really screwed Caspian up. Same with Dawn Treader with the acception of the beginning. I loved the movies, But I still need to point out and criticize the directors for the fact that they chose not to go along side with the books completely. Besides they made up a romance between Susan and Caspian, in Prince Caspian and they made up for Dawn Treader seven Swords not Seven Lords. But that's just me criticizing Adamson and Apted for their stupid mistakes. I pray that whatever Walden Media and 20th Century Fox decide on in Negotiations as far as the next Narnia movie is concerned I hope they hire a new director and hopefully he or she (I hope it's woman) will film the next Narnia film the way Andrew Adamson filmed The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Hopefully this one will be a smash hit. Oh and if we ever get a Trilogy box for all seven movies I hope Prince Caspian is re-made. Otherwise The movies are fun and Children will love them all over the world.
