Re: Things that Make Your Day
I love this thread!
Accidentally putting a little mint flavoring in my coffee and realizing that it actually tastes nice. It reminds me of an autumn chill in the air, except in a drink!
Cutting my own hair and doing a good enough job that I don't need to hide out for a couple of months. (I don't really enjoy going to the hairdresser and I like saving money where I can, but I was concerned that this attempt at frugality would prove to be a bridge too far.... )
Ordering a shiny new book.
Listening to awe-inspiring music.
The first breath of Autumn.

Re: Things that Make Your Day
Before I start the list, I do have to mention I love the idea of this thread.
Hm, let's see what I can think of right now...
Of course, a new book
Rereading/rewatching Narnia (Big surprise there )
Being able to share things I love, noticing they're genuinly interested
Genuine compliments
The love of my pets
Positive reactions towards my art/anything I've made
A nice drink/food with a show I like
Scented candles
A cup of coffee in the morning
Lots and lots of flowers and green!
...a lot of little things bring me joy, I could go on for ages

Re: Things that Make Your Day
It's been one of those weeks, so just drinking BRCC coffee makes my day so much better. And watching the Cardinals' walkoff earlier today.

Re: Things that Make Your Day
I feel blessed that when I read the water meters today, the last one, I opened it at just the right to see the black widow spider living in the meter box before I stuck my hand in to brush the dirt off the meter to read the numbers. Wasn't there last month, and it ran away after I saw it, and the meter was clear enough that I just had to shine the flashlight on it to read it without getting any closer to the box.

Ick, Kalta, glad you are okay.
Things that make my day:
*Finishing the audiobook for The Prisoner of Zenda which I enjoyed.
*Watching a new HM&M movie with my mom and sisters, made for a delightful end to the weekend yesterday.
*Counting the days until Dead Drift by Dani Pettrey releases next month.
*Drink cold BRCC coffee.

littlgriz, it is so good to see you here on NarniaWeb again!
Seeing animals in the wild would definitely make one's day.
Things that make my day:
*having you come by the forum
*cleaner, much less humid air moving in on these summer days
*reading books about great people in history
*my family all home together ♥
*encouraging and supporting others, especially those in deep need
*being intentionally grateful to God throughout each day

Things that make my day:
The St. Louis Cardinals are 8 games over .500! (I love baseball!)
Getting a new autographed book in the mail!
Being oh so close to finishing a project that's taken too long to complete.

Oh, this! I often think that being so tired your brain feels like a cottonball can honestly add a lot when listening to some music genres. I've been compiling a "Tired But Not Sleepy" playlist for a while now just for those times.
(Welcome to NarniaWeb, by the way!)
