Hello fellow Narnia fans! I am an old member who has not posted here literally in years, but I started getting back into Narnia again and creating some fan art...thought I'd share with you all
These are color studies for a bigger project I want to do, the concept of the "royal portraits" of the Pevensies during their Golden Reign. I will probably do the finished portraits in gouache and then mix in some digital for the final portraits. Their apparel is designed by me, with inspiration from the show Reign (amazing costume design). Each of the Pevensies is holding their gifts, and this is something I am still working on. Susan's horn is backwards, whoops. Edmund is holding a scroll because of his love for all things judicial, I guess. x)
These are on my instagram, along with more Narnia related work, feel free to take a look https://www.instagram.com/l.june_art/
Also, I have no idea why the images are so enormous, can anyone help me?

Oh wow, dragonseye! Those are awesome! I especially love the colors in Susan's portrait (such a gorgeous shade of green, especially when paired with gold!) and the design of her dress. Peter's face is my favorite of the four; his expression has that "High King" look to it, while still being so very Peter-ish. I also like that you based the designs from the book descriptions and your own mental images, as opposed to the actors from the Walden films! Both ways are good, but it's nice to see golden-haired Lucy and Susan with her long hair falling to her feet.

My goodness, the thumbnailing process seems much more complicated than I remember it being...Mine are on photobucket so they can't do automatic thumbnailing...?? :0

^Maybe try this code? You'd have to also upload thumbnail-sized versions of your pictures, though:

Wow, dragonseye! Those are lovely! The clothing design, especially the coloring and detailing, is gorgeous. If these are the color studies, I can't wait to see the finished pieces.

Thank you guys for the compliments! I think in the future I'm just gonna post links instead of trying to upload images, haha.

I love the concept of royal portraits, and these are lovely, lovely mixtures of movie-verse and other influences. And the fact that they're done in profile is such an interesting touch that sets these apart!
If these hung in a gallery, I'd linger for quite awhile!

Good to see you again, dragonseye! I like how you managed to give each of the portraits their own style and color scheme while keeping the main idea similar. The light in the faces makes them look three-dimensional, especially in Peter's portrait, which is far from easy in profile pictures in my opinion. And as The Rose-Tree Dryad already said, Susan's dress has such a lovely, rich color. Great work!
