Ever since the Netflix acquisition, I've noticed casting threads for the male/female human characters, dedicated casting topics for Aslan and the White Witch, but thought it might be interesting to have one for talking animals, in particular.
I know this could just as easily go in the "Non-Human Characters" topic, but that one seems to have died out almost a year ago and really only "humanoid" (for lack of a better term) characters were discussed (i.e. Tumnus, Lilliandil, dwarfs, giants, otherwise characters and species that would still be portrayed onscreen by human actors).
Inspired by the wolf thread, what are your thoughts on casting for the voice and (hopefully) even motion-capture roles besides Aslan?

Splendid thread idea!
Brian Blessed as the chief Bulgy Bear OR as Rumblebuffin/WimbleWeather!
John Rhys-Davies as Glimfeather! (I can just hear his "tu-whoo!" in my head already!)
Benedict Cumberbatch as Shift!
I'll think of some others later probably.

I like those ideas!
Also, totally hot take for the talking horses in HHB:
Chris Pratt as Bree and Gal Gadot as Hwin.
Yay or nay? (See what I did there).

Oh gosh
I can sort of see that! On my last re-read of the Magician's Nephew, I actually read the Jackdaw's lines in Rowan's voice. Would definitely like to have him cast in some voice role!
I think the role of Reepicheep would suit Freddie Highmore's voice.

Oh, the Jackdaw could be a great role for him as well!
I'm gonna have to get back to you on Freddie Highmore though .... don't remember what his voice sounds like.
