Re: Ramandu's daughter - Laura Brent
Nice to see those new pictures and the video of Laura Brent. It will be interesting to see her appearance and performance as Ramandu's Daughter, come December 10th of this year.
My previous opinion that she has the right look for RD is confirmed.

I don't think she looks pretty at all.....but maybe it's just how she's presented there with the costume and all that makeup.

You'll get a lot of that while watching Legend of the Seeker,
Nonetheless Laura is very pretty and has those cougar moves that a lot of girls want.
I enjoyed this episode with Laura and thought her acting was very brilliant. I really love the voice she has too, it's soft yet she sounds of high authority that will make people listen. I can see now as to why she was casted as RD. I think it is rather cool to see her on a show with Bruce Spence aka our Lord Rhoop. They will probably end up as celebrity buddies now and Bruce will probably help her get popular in no time.

If you're in America watch CW or Superstation on Saturday. You can possibly catch the episode again around 10am-4pm. All time zones just in case or check your tv guide.
Laura really reminds me of those beautiful blonde actresses from the Golden Age of Hollywood like the 40's, 50's and early 60's.

Re: Ramandu's daughter - Laura Brent
It sort of depends on the name that they will give her or if they gave her a name that is.
I hope it's nothing typical like
Celeste
Astra
Asteria
Aurora
Something like Arwen, Sylfean, Ciara, etc. would be my top choices and very unique names.

Re: Ramandu's daughter - Laura Brent
I've heard the name Arwen in another movie besides LOTR but I can't think of the movies name. It kind of sounds like a stars name though. it's very pretty
But Sylfean is my favorite out of the ones I came up with.

Re: Ramandu's daughter - Laura Brent
I really missed this forum, so, here is my opinion about the new pictures..
Laura looks gorgeous!
I'm very glad for this choice, and I can't wait anymore for the teaser trailer.
And her name? I really don't care about it, but a nice name (and original, far from LoTR) would work fine. I liked "Celeste". wich means "light blue" in spanish.

Re: Ramandu's daughter - Laura Brent
I will admit that Celeste is a very pretty name but it is also short for "Celestial Rock" meaning "Star". It's too much of a typical name for a star. Something close to "Tarva" and "Alambil" those are original names of the stars. Something like "Arva" could work or "Sybil".

Re: Ramandu's daughter - Laura Brent
I do hope they give RD a name...yet I hope they choose carefully. They need something that reflects her personality and sounds star-like. It needs to sound pretty but not generic. I think it should be fairly simple, not tons of syllables. But I have no clue what name would fit that criteria... too bad C.S. Lewis didn't name her himself.
