Walden’s ‘Hoot’ is Now in Theaters

Walden Media‘s (the studio behind the Narnia films) latest adaptation, “Hoot,” hits theaters today! Based on Carl Hiaasen’s Newbery Honor-winning book, “Hoot” revolves around a Montana boy who moves to Florida and unearths a disturbing threat to a local population of endangered owls. Determined to protect his new environment, the boy and his friends fight to prevent the adults from making a big mistake. “Hoot” is rated PG for mild bullying and brief language. Walden has also released previews for upcoming adaptations of Thomas Rockwall’s “How to Eat Fried Worms” and EB White’s “Charlotte’s Web.” UPDATE: “Hoot” earned an estimated $3.4 million at 3,018 theaters on opening weekend.
