The Cambridge Evening News has interviewed Imogen Heap, singer of the end credits song “Can’t Take It In” in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Imogen speaks about her musical upbringing and songwriting. A highpoint was being asked to provide a song for a climactic scene in the recent version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. “I was about to go on holiday with my boyfriend to the Grand Canyon and I got a call from them,” she recalls. “They invited me in and they were all giving it the hard sell so I said, ‘This sounds great, when do you need it by?’ and they said, ‘Well actually we need it next week so you’re going to have to cancel your holiday’. They always seem to leave the big song to the last week for some reason. I managed to get it done in a week but it was really difficult.” Read the full interview here.
