Voice Over: Surfers, it’s time to go behind the scenes of the latest Disney movies.

MOVIE SURFER MICHAEL STANDS IN THE TRAIN STATION SET WALKING TOWARDS THE CAMERA. SLIGHTLY SHAKY PICTURE.

Michael: Hey surfers, you know if your camera person shooting the movie isn’t careful, your movie might end up looking something like this.

WIDESHOT SHOWING TESSA HOLDING A VIDEO CAMERA IN FRONT OF MICHAEL.

Tessa: I know. I know. It’s hard to keep the camera still.

SWITCHES TO A SHOT OF MICHAEL

Michael: Exactly! That’s why I’m going to go meet with Greg, the steady cam operator on the set of Prince Caspian.

SHOT OF GREG AND OTHER CREW MEMBERS ON SET. A CAMERA IN ACTION. LUCY RUNS TOWARD A GROUP OF OLD NARNIANS AND HER SISTER. GLENSTORM CHARGES. SHOT OF SOMEONE LOOKING OVER THE EDGE OF A CLIFF. CASPIAN ON HORSEBACK. TELMARINE ARMY CHARGING.

CLOSE UP OF GREG.

Greg: A steady cam is a camera device that allows you to run with the camera and do some really fast action movements and the camera remains very stable.

SHOT OF A STEADY CAM IN ACTION. SHOT OF THE NIGHT RAID. LUCY RUNNING UP A HILL. SHOT OF TRUMPKIN ON THE BEACH.

Trumpkin: Don’t move your majesty!

LUCY LOOKS AT A BEAR AND TURNS TOWARDS THE CAMERA. SHOT OF MICHAEL STARTING TO PUT ON THE STEADY CAM HARNESS

Greg: There’s a scene where a bear begins to chase Lucy, but the bear was fictitious. So I was the point of view of the bear and they put it in later in visual effects.

RUNNING BEAR. WIDE SHOT OF LUCY WITH THE BEAR BEHIND HER. SHOT OF LUCY AND THE BEAR WITH COMPUTER GENERATED LINES OVERLAYED.

Greg: It allows you to do some moves as though the camera were just really fluid. It kind of floats through the air.

WIDESHOT OF THE PEVENSIES ON THE BEACH. TELMARINE ON HORSEBACK IN THE WOODS CHASING LUCY. ASLAN RUNS THROUGH THE FOREST AND JUMPS OVER LUCY. SWITCHES BACK TO GREG AND MICHAEL ON SET.

Greg: You can follow people walking, whip this thing around, or you can chase people or you can chase animals whether they are fictitious or real and make it look fantastic.

GREG GIVES A DEMONSTRATION OF WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH THE CAMERA.TELMARINES AND CASPIAN IN THE WOODS. CASPIAN LOOKS WITH APREHENSION AT THE MOVING BRANCHES. REEPICHEEP JUMPS OUT AT HIM KNOCKING HIM BACKWARDS AND ENDING WITH HIS SWORD AT CASPIAN’S THROAT.

Caspian: You are a mouse.

Reepicheep: I was hoping for something a little more original.

SCENE SWITCHES BACK TO MICHAEL AND GREG ON SET.

Greg: The camera’s about a half million dollars, so don’t drop it. We have to use it this afternoon. Let me put the vest on you.

MICHAEL GETS SUITED UP WITH THE STEADY CAM HARNESS.

Greg: Put your arm in there.

Michael: You feel like you’re going to tip over to one side.

GREG GIVES MICHAEL SOME INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT THE CAMERA RIG.

Greg: The arm that you are holding has spring canisters in here and it mimics your arm and absorbs all of the vertical motion when you walk or run.

SHOT OF THE STEADY CAM IN ACTION. GREG SHOWS MICHAEL A FEW BASIC POSITIONS WITH THE CAMERA.

Greg: Now bring it around on this side and hold this… hold that right there. Now it’s not as heavy as you’d think is it?

Michael: No. No. Kind of flies.

Greg: Why don’t you walk with me.

SHOT OF WHAT THE CAMERA SEES. SHOT OF GREG AND MICHAEL. VARIOUS SHOTS OF MICHAEL FOLLOWING GREG WITH THE CAMERA.

Greg: You’re doing great.

Michael: Do I have a future as a steady cam operator?

Greg: You have a future as a steady cam operator. Just walk backwards and I’ll guide you as you walk back.

A VIEW OF WHAT THE CAMERA SEES. GREG WALKS OFF LEAVING MICHAEL WITH THE CAMERA.

Greg: Good. We’re going to go to lunch. Ok? We’ll see you.

SKANDAR BEING INTERVIEWED

Skandar: Ben Barnes is Prince Caspian, sometimes referred to as the fifth Pevensie.

WILL BEING INTERVIEWED

William: There were lots of people going for Prince Caspian and we didn’t really know who that was.

ANNA BEING INTERVIEWED

Anna: We were all concerned about how he would fit in to our tight knit little family, so Ben had a lot to live up to before we’d even met him.

Peter: Prince Caspian?

PETER LOOKING PERPLEXED

Caspian: You’re not exactly what I expected.

CASPIAN LOOKING PERPLEXED

Edmund: Neither are you.

EDMUND LOOKING SUSPECIOUS

Jeryn: Jeryn here, on location with actor Ben Barnes. Thanks a lot for hanging out with us.

JERYN AND BEN ASKING EACH OTHER QUESTIONS

Ben: My pleasure.
Jeryn: In the first movie the kids got to Narnia through the wardrobe.
Ben: Yes.
Jeryn: Is that the way they get back this time?
Ben: No, this time when I blow the horn, it calls the old kings and queens and we join forces against the Telmarines.

CASPIAN BLOWING THE HORN, PETER AND CASPIAN DEBATING IN ASLAN’S HOW

Peter: Our only hope is to strike them before they strike us.
Caspian: That’s crazy; no one has ever taken that castle.
Peter: There’s always a first time.

GEORGIE BEING INTERVIEWED

Georgie: He just totally slotted in, and he’s almost like part of the family.

SKANDAR BEING INTERVIEWED

Skandar: He kind of adds to the story, and makes everyone act more mature.

LUCY LOOKING AROUND ANGRILY AT THE OTHERS

Lucy: I wish you all would stop trying to sound like grown-ups.

SHOT OF TRUMPKIN

Trumpkin: I am a grown-up.

JERYN AND BEN

Jeryn: Now, would you tell me a little bit about the character you play in the movie?

SEVERAL SHOTS OF CASPIAN IN ACTION

Ben: Well he’s a prince so he’s been highly trained in horse riding and sword fighting skills, archery, and all that stuff. He’s got the confidence of someone who’s regal, but he’s got the naivety and innocence of somebody who’s still young.

SHOT OF ASLAN AND LUCY

Aslan: Rise, kings and queens of Narnia.

PETER, SUSAN, AND EDMUND STAND WHILE CASPIAN REMAINS KNEELING

CASPIAN AT THE DANCING LAWN

Caspian: Beyond these woods, I am a Prince. And I can bring peace between us.

THE OLD NARNIANS DRAW THEIR SWORDS IN SALUTE
