Collider.com has posted a HUGE picture of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader banner at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. (Click here for the full sized image.)

The banner features Caspian, Reepicheep, and Aslan on the left side, and Edmund, Lucy, and Eustace on the right. Unfortunately Eustace is pretty hard to make out, but the rest of the banner makes up for it. Hopefully we’ll get some more pictures of it later today that will have a better angle.

I really like the blue theme. Nice poster. I was expecting to see more of the ship in their advertising though…
Yeah, I see what you mean. They had better start marketing the actual ship a little bit more as well as perhaps adding a bit of green to their next poster or all the people who don't know the story will get the impression: "Lots and lots and lots of sky – with stars. One knew character! Huh?! What?!

But why is Edmund holding Rhindon? Unless it's a look-a-like…
How do you know that it is Rhindon? It looks more like a pole to me.
Except that it is a weird way to hold a sword, and I think they'd choose something more dramatic than a pole in the banner. I don't know.
ooh! ooh! Maybe it's the spear he dips into the magical, turns-everything-to-gold water on deathwater island? Just thinking here. I mean, spears and poles do sorta look alike, no?
I just took a zoom-ed in look. It's almost definitley a sword… maybe a spear, but not a pole.
Follow the link to the website to see a super zoomed in image and you will see that it is definitley Rhindon- or at least a sword with a lion head on it's hilt.
I don't care what it is, I'm just glad that there's a banner annd I can see Edmund and Lucy! Lucy is SOOOO pretty!!!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE MOVIE!!!!!
if it is Peter's sword, maybe Caspian gave it to Edmund since Peter's his brother…after all, Peter did leave it with Caspian at the end of the last movie, so that wouldn't be too far-fetched.
Of course it's Peter's sword Rhindon. Did you guys not see the filming pics? He's was wearing it.
The High King's sword is now passed on to his brother. . .:'(
A couple of things…
1) I'm 99% sure that what Edmund is holding is Rhindon, or if it isn't, it looks exactly like it.
2) He's holding it wrong. I suppose that we can assume that he fell and hit his head and can't remember how to hold a sword right. (totally kidding…)
3) OldNarnian, I don't think Caspian is giving Ed the sword in that pic. It LOOKS like he's saying, "HI, ED!! IT'S SO NICE TO SEE YOU!" But it also looks like Ed is in Narnia clothes, so that would mean he has been on the ship for a little while, so Caspian has probably already said, "NICE TO SEE YOU!!!" or whatever.
4) Maybe when Ed and Caspian had that sword fight that we saw footage of, they were fighting over Rhindon…no, no, I'm just kidding. Or MAYBE, Ed dropped his sword into the ocean and Caspian lent him Rhindon…Nah. 😉
Oh, wait a second!!! I was just looking at some spy photos…and guess what is hanging from Edmund's waist?!?!?! I'm almost certain that it's Rhindon.

I like the picture of Aslan– it looks straight from the covers of the books!
On the other hand, I wonder why, when the movie is about a ship, why Dawn Treader, or art least the Dragon head, would not be on the banner. And who are the two people on the right hand section? Edmund and someone else?
That would be three people: Edmund, Lucy and Eustace.
Edmund and Lucy. (In order, left to right.) Then there is Eustace, who is harder to see.
I don't know why, but is it just me or does Aslan look a bit scary? And I can hardly make out Eustace at all!

I think it's cool, but is the blue is eerily reminiscent of LWW, or is it just me?
I could make out everyone fairly well except Edmund and Eustace. Obviously Eustace is a bit obscure, but I could not tell anything about Edmund. It was just a blob next to Lucy's face. I even put a magnifying glass to it, and I still couldn't even make out his face, or even verify that it was Edmund (except that FK said so). Maybe my computer graphics are bad or something.
Another thing- Lucy, to me, looks similar to the Lucy in the farewell scene in PC.
And Aslan's eyes are too shiny. (I'm thinking that maybe my computer is distorting the image! I love the banner but the colors and shapes are all wrong!)
Edmund looks very clear to me when i clicked on the 'Collider' link. I think the connection to LWW is intentional because it's the most dearly loved book by the general public. Aslan does look a little different but surely they'll make his look consistent? A great banner I think – I have faith it'll be great!

All I see are Caspian, Reepicheep, Aslan, and two boys' faces on the right. I don't see Lucy….I wonder if I'm not seeing something right.
On the right sight, you can make out three faces. Georgie is actually the one in the middle. 🙂 (Hope that helped)

Hey, is it just me, or does Aslan have dark rings around his eyes? Like he put on mascara? Maybe they're giving him a slightly different appearance in this movie. But he looks good.
Anyway, the banner looks great. I love the blue. And did anyone notice the stars above the title? It's like a foreshadowing of what's to come, because stars play a bit part in VDT (at least as characters). Pretty cool! 🙂
I didn't even notice the stars…but now that you mention it, it does make sense! How exciting! I'm beginning to have a hopeful feeling that a trailer will come soon…

LWW's color was red; PC was green; now, it looks like VDT has blue!

LOL! That would be so horrific! I mean, maybe it would be funny as a joke, but if it were actually in the real movie……ohhhh….perish the thought! Seriously, kill that thought before it gets out of hand! People can not say "savvy" in Narnia!
It only looks that way because much of the setting of the movie beats Pirates of the Carribean in my eyes by a landslide lol. But it will definetly be a new look for the actors compared to being in armor and in a battle of some sort like the last 2 movies.

it looks amazing! lucy looks so different! when i saw it i was like, "who is that girl there?" then i realized its lucy!
boy i just love the pictures, although im surprised they didnt get a picture of the Dawn treader, or at least a piece of it. but i suppose they couldnt because it would have been too much on the banner. all in all it looks absolutely amazing. i am shivering with thrills and excitement right now!

Oh. Wow. That looks amazing. I'm not one to freak out about posters and such, but this one looks good. Lucy looks gorgeous (sob) and Edmund, Eustace and Reep look great. Caspian…looks like he's sneezing, but I'll overlook that.

What the hell did they do to Georgie Henley's face?! That is MASSIVELY unflattering photoshop right there – she's barely recognizable!
Georgie H. mentioned in the Prince Caspian DVD commentary that she had to get a certain kind of plastic surgery for her face. She probably got another one.
Yeah, I think they photoshopped Lucy a little. I think she looks okay, but I wish they hadn't done it. Georgie looks nice enough without photoshopping.

I don't think it was plastic surgery. I think they pulled the skin on her face back to make her look younger at the beginning of PC becuase she'd grown so much.
Something, like a plastic surgery, or face surgery. They can do anything with make-up nowadays. I remember seeing a Legolas poster, and I noticed he had excess make up, that made his face look xtra shiny. Ooh, I see The Dawn T. there next to Caspian.
Oh, am I so excited or what?! Hopefully, they will have more posters, like teaser ones that's more focussed on the Dawn Treader. Please, please release the teaser trailer. Can't wait to show my friends this!
