Examiner.com Interviews Douglas Gresham

Mike Parker, an interviewer with Examiner.com, had the opportunity to sit down with Douglas Gresham for an interview.  In the interview, Gresham talks about his involvement with The Chronicles of Narnia:  The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, along with his thoughts and expectations for the movie.

Another interesting tidbit of information concerning the next movie in the franchise, appears in the article.  When asked whether or not there will be another Narnia movie, Douglas Gresham replies:

“That depends on you. If everyone goes to see the film, and takes all there friends, and all of their enemies – we’re supposed to love them, too – then we will have the box office clout to go to our investors and with a clear conscience ask for the funds to make another film.”

Thanks to Daredevil for the heads up!

  2. Hwin says:

Gresham – I think people should understand that this movie returns us to the great beauty, wonder and magic of Narnia, but it is also about temptation and how we face it; it is about love and loss. I personally think the ending of the movie is one of great endings in movie history. I think that people are going to love this film. I encourage them to see it.

That makes me smile 🙂 No worries, I am planning to watch VDT in theaters as many times as I can with as many people as I can!!!

  6. narnian resident says:

and you all dont have to worry about me, im going to see it first with lots of friends from school (im inviting them all) and then i shall see it a second time with even more friends from church, not to mention my parents and family! through me i bet at least 20-30 different people will be seeing it! how's that for some Narnia determination 😀

  9. Starlily says:

You know, even if Douglas Gresham has allowed some things in the movies I don't like, I think he did his best to preserve their faithfulness to the books, and I appreciate it. Thanks, Mr Gresham. 🙂

    Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!!! 😀

  10. Pepper Darcy says:

Oh man, I am SO hoping that they make Silver Chair! Please, please, please!I hope it's Apted. It looks like he's been handling the movie soo well! 15 days till I see it! 😀 YES!! YESS!! YESS! A little over two years till How to Train your Dragon 2!! Wow… I've got to wait a while for that :/

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  11. Pepper Darcy says:

my brother, Awel (sister), and I are seeing it the 11th, then we're bringing like 19 people to see it again! 🙂

  12. McGunn says:

"He introduced be as 'the guy who was to blame.' (laughs) I grew up in Narnia and never left. I have no desire to leave. I think of myself as the Guardian of Narnia." It's so good that we have a Guardian of Narnia who really understands what the purpose and message of these stories are. I just can't imagine what the Narnia films would be without him…

  13. lu says:

  14. Anna's Sister says:
