  • Not Of This World says:

Those Pictures are interesting! Very Interesting!

  • Not Of This World says:

What is Caspian and Edmond doing? And what dose it mean by Enemies Unite?

    • Pepper Darcy says:

maybe it’s Aslan they’re bowing at? OOOOH I wish I could see these! 🙁

    • Twinimage says:

Maybe they are bowing to the Magician? He’s the head of the house and so it’s very likely they are greeting each other.
Or it could be Aslan, but I can’t see them putting Aslan in that scene. I doubt he’ll appear to Lucy after she makes things visible. Since I doubt she’ll perform the spell about ease dropping on your friends. Thus, no need for Aslan to appear and reprimand her. IMO, they’re focusing too much on the beauty spell. I know they want to give Lucy a story arc, but I don’t know if that’s the best story to give Lucy. They’ll have Lucy make snow and then the beauty spell, then she’ll make things visible. That’s my guess. There might be references though to the others that are mentioned in the book.

As for "Enemies will Unite", I really think that’s false advertising, just like when they say the White Witch will rise. Don’t worry about it.

      • Reepicheep, Knight of Narnia says:

Twinimage, are you being wary of spoilers? If so, don’t read on.
In the soundtrack listing, during the songs for the Magician’s Island, there is a track entitled "Aslan Appears". I’d be very willing to guess from that that Lucy does indeed make him visible in this scene.

      • Twinimage says:

True, however, I believe it is while she is in the ship, and performs the beauty spell a second time that he appears.
Though You could be correct, in which would be cool as well.

      • McGunn says:

She performs the beauty spell a second time? On the ship? How do you know that? Is that what we see in the trailer when Lucy is in the cabin and says "Aslan"? Confused…

  • timo says:

LOL @ "the witch will rise"

  • Princess Lucy says:

hey did anyone notice the mist of the WW coming out from the lone islands…hmmm…so she doesn’t only appear in the dark island….

    • fantasia_kitty says:

That wasn’t the White Witch. It was the Green Mist.

      • Princess Lucy says:

lol fantasia_kitty…your right it was only the green mist…sorri i just thought it was her as she was shown the next shot after the mist….sorry for the confusion..ah phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ……

      • Narnian Meerkat says:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . .Hey, does annnnnnnybody possibly think that this "Green Mist" thing could be the Lady of the Green Kirtle’s magic?. . . . .I don’t know, it makes pretty good sense to me. . . . 😉

      • Waleed Sajjad Khan says:

Narnian Meerkat…. Well, it would make sense.

      • john smith says:

maybe the white witch and the green lady unite

      • Omac the centaur says:

maybe the witches are enemies but they unite… lol just another thought. 😉

      • Mayor Wilkins says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Green Mist is connected to the Green Lady either. 😉

However, I personally see the Green Mist as some kind of disembodied symbol of evil. An elemental force that is "something far more powerful than a witch." In medieval times (I think) and in some early literature, the color green was symbolic of the devil or his influence. Also, I am reminded of Chernabog in Disney’s "Fantasia," who constantly stirred up the green smoke and sulfur during his segment. Essentially, my theory is:

Green Mist = Symbol of Satan

And because The White Witch likely sold her soul, (paying a terrible price to learn the Deplorable Word) it makes sense then that the enemy himself would be able to use her image (what Douglas Gresham called "the embodiment of Satan’s favorite temptations") to try and sway our heroes away from the path of good. When Edmund and company resists the temptations, that’s when The Green Mist summons up the ultimate nightmare, The Sea Serpent, to try and destroy them all.

Now, about the Green Lady. Perhaps The Green Mist becomes the Green Lady in "The Silver Chair." She could be another witch in its service.

And, I hate to bring up this possibility, but since The Witch Witch is in The Green Mist, could it be that these "enemies will unite" to make The Green Lady? Maybe the films will go with the notion that Jadis = The Green Lady. I know that’s NOT the case, but "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" seems to be foreshadowing this a bit… I don’t know.

  • LL says:

AHHH! Love Edmund and Caspian in the first one!!

  • greenbird38 says:

I saw the TV stop last night…so excited!

    • Aravis and Hwin says:

Yes, I’m so excited! My little sister and I saw the first one last night on TV. I think we saw it on Fox, but I’m not positive…

  • To be or not says:

Hehe! Did Caspian and Edmund drop something??

  • Danieljofficial (aka The Bulgy Bear) says:

I’ve uploaded screenshots of all the new scenes at http://goo.gl/Eb849 (that’s a Picasa Web album). There’s only nine new scenes (that I saw).

  • Fasst Productions says:

These are either the most discouraging or the most deceptive pieces of VDT marketing that I’ve seen. There was really nothing eencouraging about them.

  • High Queene Shelly Belly says:

    THEY LOOK FREAKIN’ AWWWWWWWSOMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

  • Mayor Wilkins says:

    I can’t see them! 🙁
I hope some kind soul out there uploads them on Youtube soon. 😉

  • Dr Elwin Ransom says:

    ‎"The Witch will rise."

"Stop SAYING that." 😛 Everyone says she’ll only be in Edmund’s Dark Island-induced nightmares. Otherwise, great ad.

    • Mayor Wilkins says:

I know. As I stated earlier, this is nearly false advertising. Her role is probably, at maximum, two minutes long.
But they are still smart to advertise Tilda’s role, however small it may be.
More people will be interested in the film. 😉
And the more tickets "Dawn Treader" sells, the more likely we will get more "Narnia" movies. 😀

Besides, it looks as if The Green Mist will be the central "villain" of the film. Tilda simply gives it a face and a voice. That is probably why she is on the posters as well.

    • Twinimage says:

      I know. I hate that!

  • Queen Susan the Gentle says:

    Neat, but interesting.

  • dinode says:

This is the first time I’ve ever seen any ad say "Also in 2-D". Seriously, how many movies have there been that were in 3-D, but not 2-D?

  • Pepper Darcy says:

we don’t have a TV, but (ha, ha, a Narniaweb e-mail notice just popped up on my screen and here I am! Lol) I was brushing my hair Saturday at my great grandma’s and I heard the TV in the other room and thought, ‘wow, where have I heard that music? Hm…’ and I brushed my hair a little longer, then I thought ‘NARNIA!’ so I rushed in to catch the ‘credits’ of what I thik was a TV spot! :/

  • Ugly Pig says:

"The Witch will rise"? Seriously? Are you KIDDING ME?! ARGH! *pulls out hair*

That’s not just misleading, it’s an outright lie. I am quite angry now.

    • emijoy says:

WHY CANT THEY KILL HER ALREADY????!!!!?????

    • narnian resident says:

yes you’re right, it is an outright lie!!! how could they do that?? its so misleading for all these people who havent read the books! they’re going to terribly confused them, and maybe even ruin it and get them mad!

  • decarus says:

Moving green mist. I just don’t get it.

  • Waleed Sajjad Khan says:

Oh my Gosh we don’t freaking care about Jadis she epicly failed in the first movie while she was alive and she’s not going to come back so why doesn’t she just stop trying?! What’s the point?!?!

    • emijoy says:

If they keep bring her back every single movie, they may have to use her as the witch in the Silver Chair and maybe even change the plot of the Last Battle.

  • Mina says:

TORCH!!! Sorry, but I can’t believe Edmund gets that back (where the heck did he get those batteries and can I have some?) but are our heroes getting ambushed in that one scene with the torch? Looks like people sliding down on ropes…and what are they reading? And who are bowing to? (Hurry up and come out movie…I have questions.)

  • silent warrior Trinity-hawkeye291 says:

i save those pics already! (smirked) u can ask questions!

  • Narnian Geek says:

It looks like the Dark Island (green mist) is taking over the Lone Islands.

    • Mina says:

Well it does sound like the Green Mist "has the power to steal the light from this world" or it’s following them…

  • Louloudi the Centaur says:

I really wish they would stop saying, "The witch will rise," considering we now know the witch is only making a cameo. Anyway, I did see these two on TV over the weekend on our camera. I was going to put them on YouTube, but oh well.

  • narnian resident says:

what is with "the witch will rise"????? do they seriously have a thing with her that they have to make her out to be so big, when we’ve already had someone who’s seen the movie tell us she’s hardly there???? i dont understand. what is the reason for that? i am absolutely stumped about this whole Witch-obssession thing!

  • Watziznehm says:

"The Witch will rise!" Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Oh no, oh no, oh on! I cannot believe they actually dared to say it.

  • Danieljofficial (aka The Bulgy Bear) says:

For everyone complaining about the White Witch…you have to understand, she is considered one of the best fantasy villains of all time. Tilda Swinton won quite a lot of critical attention because of her acting. Therefore, it is a good bit of publicity to have her in the trailers. After all, she is someone that everyone who saw the other movies will recognize (people love familiarity).
And we don’t have to worry, since we already know how little of a role she has.

    • Mayor Wilkins says:

Couldn’t have said it better myself. 😉
There’s really no mystery as to why she is in the promotional material.
But I agree it is misleading.

  • tmc4narnia says:

why do they have to be so misleading with the white witch scene, I’ll be happy to see her come back in the Magician’s Nephew

  • Beyond Narnia says:

I just saw Trailer #3 during Dancing With the Stars (my roommates were watching it and i looked up when i heard the trailer)It’s reassuring to see the trailer on a channel other than Nickelodeon or Fox {DWTS is on ABC}. Hopefully this means we can start seeing trailers more frequently on more channels.

  • pselpevensie says:

AWESOME TV SPOTS!!!!!!!!! LOVE THEM BOTH!!!!!! (except "the witch will rise"…)

  • MinotaurforAslan says:

HORRIBLE TV SPOTS!!!! Seriously, both of them flat out lie about the story line, making it seem like they’ve changed much, much more than they have. They seem tailored to people who’ve never read the book and will make anyone who has feel sick.

  • Lucy Took says:

The American announcer annoys me. 😛

    Seriously. Nothing against the American accent,I have one,but it’s a British film…

  • Liberty Hoffman says:

    amazing TV spots and pics! yeah! love it! 😀 🙂 😀 🙂 😀 🙂 😀 🙂

  • Thyservant says:

How can a torch ‘survive’ after 3 years? Just don’t get it…

    • To be or not says:

      You’re seriously over-thinking this…lol.

      • Thyservant says:

Hmm…Anyway… It’s been over 2 years since PC. Maybe many of the audiences will neglect it. Well, that’ll be fine… "I’ve left my new torch in Narnia…"

  • Komali says:

    GOOD

  • Caddoc says:

Did anyone else notice that in the clip of Dragon Eustice flying towards the camera (19 in for both of them) you can see the arm ring that he puts on before being transformed?

  • Brisa says:

The Witch does not rise. I’m sick of misleading/outright lying about the Witch.
