Tears Shed at the Premiere

If you are prone to cry at movies, you might make a note to bring a box off tissues to The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. So just how emotional is the ending to this movie? Apparently enough that Queen Elizabeth II and Liam Neeson both shed a few tears according to this story on Yahoo. Read more here.

  3. Ah, I don't know…. I will make sure that my mother and aunt won't see me cry; it would be really embarrassing. But I will still go.

I am also glad to see that VDT is moving audiences, I am also glad to see in the story (on yahoo) that they want to do all seven films. Only 8 days!!

Oh no…I hate crying, because of a movie, in front of my family! :'-(

  6. Starlily says:

The Queen supposedly cried? That's sweet! 🙂 I was thinking she might have gone to the movie only because everyone expected her to, and she wasn't really interested in a kid-geared action/fantasy flick. But maybe she really did like it.

I don't know if I'll cry. I usually don't when I'm with my family. Maybe later, when I watch it by myself, and let myself get caught up in the emotion of the story… :'(

Maybe the 3d glasses will cover my tears.

Quite alright to cry at a movie. Of course, I would never. And were I to cry and someone made fun of me, I would make them cry … but I digress.

All reports suggest the end is a real tear jerker. Looking forward to it. 😀

    i understand, i cried!

  10. NarnianRebel says:

I usally cry in movies if they are sad. Like is Ramona and Beezus. I cried in that one. I almost cried at the end scene in Carrie Underwood's music vid. so I will probably cry here. But that's okay. It's good to cry every once in a while.

  11. narnian resident says:

awwww! so "Aslan" cried? that is so precious 😀
and how cool is that, to cause the Queen to actually cry too. i just know im going to cry myself when i see it. and i cant wait 😉

I'm going to have to stuff a box of tissues in my bag, or something! I cry very easily in movies =P Not sure if that's a good thing….

  13. Keyaan says:

I'm probably gonna look like the biggest pussy in the world, but that would be a good thing…it shows that the film is doing its job well in moving me. So this shouldn't be something to worry about, this is something to be happy by.

  14. Aslan's my homeboy says:

Aww that's great that means I am going to be bawling 🙁 oh well I cried when I watched the first two also I shouldn't be suprised

I just saw the movie yesterday. I am telling you right now, it is definitely the best of the three. You will laugh, you will cry, you will feel scared. Poulter's performance is amazing, and all the other actors are just exceptional. Oh, by the way, in the 3-D version at least, a certain line about Susan and the fate of Narnia isn't in the movie. I cheered. I definitely recommend this movie, it is excellent.

  17. haha, my mom and I are planning on crying.
my mom cried during the entire movie of LWW.
she plans on crying harder for this one!
    😀
    can't wait!

  18. Hermitess of Narnia says:

If England's Queen and Neeson cried at this movie, then I guess I won't feel so out of place if I shed tears at any point of it. Remember what King Tirian said when Lucy was crying for Narnia?

  19. Bethany Weathers says:

I cry at anything. I watched Return of the King last night and cried when Pippin found Merri on the battlefield stuck under the horse. Also when Same carries Frodo up the mountain. Any slightly moving scene and the water works start.

  20. hahaha, liberty. we watch the LWW film in the movie theaters, and honestly we admitted that we almost cried when aslan died. it is much better than the passion of the Christ!

  21. pselpevensie says:

    CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!!!!!!!

  22. Pepper Darcy says:

wow. That's wonderful the Queen cried. I mean, what better way for an audience to appreciate your movie– let alone the QUEEN of ENGLAND! =) That has to be moving/comforting to Apted! 🙂

Ha, ha, I've already cried over this movie. I cried when I saw the End of the World clip a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the report without spoiling it for the rest of us, Fan of the Just King! I'm especially excited to see Will Poulter's performance. I think we all love hearing reports like that! Just 6 more days!!!

  25. Brian in Calgary says:

The Queen is said to be a person of strong religious faith. With the "that's why I brought you to Narnia" conversation firmly in the movie near the end, I can see her shedding a tear or two.

  26. motovin03 says:

i watched the movie yesterday..Dec.3 here in the Philippines…well the last part was really touching… but i didn't cry… i just hoped that Georgie did cried literally on that last scene since its her last time in Narnia, but i think she didnt do that, i imagined the very last part.. when she closed the door… the camera should have took a close up of her and then a tear or two should have fallen from her eyes…then a lion's roar… i think that could have been very moving.. but overall the film is just superb! im gonna watch it again on monday! –,

  27. Alambil and Tarvis says:

Aww, the Queen cried! That's precious <3

  28. narnia365 says:

I saw a prescreening of the movie, and it is REALLY sad at the end. If you are a Narnia fan, you might come close to crying… Georgie, Skandar, and (especially) Will are incredible.

  29. DruidDream says:
