Walden Media’s film adaptation of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” began its theatrical run on December 9, 2005… six years ago today! It would ultimately gross $745 Million worldwide.
To commemorate the film’s anniversary, we are asking NarniaWebbers to vote for their favorite scene in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The poll will close on December 24, and the winner will be revealed on the 31st.

Well it was easy for me after all i have seen the movie exactly 23 times and my fav scene would defintly be after thr ceremony when Mr. Tummnus and lucy are talking it makes me cry every time:)

Wow…I've seen it too many times to count… But I've only seen Prince Caspian 3 or so times and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader…5 or so times…But LWW I've seen….TONS of times….
Hmmm…. Its almost completely the opposite for me, I've seen Prince Caspian at least 10 or more times, and Voyage of the Dawn TReader maybe like 6 or 7, but the one Ive seen the least is LWW. I think its because Prince Caspian is on tv often, and Voyage is almost always on HBO or HBO family, so maybe thats why π

I know what you mean, it really had the spirit of Narnia in the film. PC was alright too, its just Peter and his bratiness that made me hate it.

The Battle of Beruna is definitely one of my picks – epic to the extreme! My eleven-year-old self was entirely floored. Plus, the score for that part was EXCELLENT.
i agree the scene alone is epic but with the music is absolutely breathtaking!!!!!
I like how they show the map then in one sweeping shot go down to the battle field with the gryphons flying overhead, that would be really cool in 3D.
Pure awesomeness. I was 9 when I first watched LWW, a couple of years after it came out, and I still think that it is awesome. Narnia's Legacy Lives On. NLLO.

I love the whole movie.the entire 2:20 hours is just amazing. i kinda wish that andrew adamson had directed the 3rd as well because he made the first 2 sooooo good.i still liked the third but i think it would have been better if he had directed it.Anyhow LWW will always be my favorite movie!!!!!
I completely agree with the wishing Andrew directed the 3rd movie thing. I love all the movies, but there was something missing from the 3rd one and I think it was the love that Andrew normally puts into the films. I think Michael Apted took the directing of the movie as strictly a job and nothing more. It makes me sad. π
i know right plus andrew made it more real somehow like narnia actually existed.i think is because he shot more on location and michael used too much cgi and sets!!!
I love how Adamson adapted LWW, I just wish really bad that he could have done VDT, then it could've had an entirely different result.
True. If VDT seemed almost to be made of scenes chopped and crammed together instead of a whole flowing story…at least that how it comes across.

In my opinion, it's a stretch to call LWW a masterpiece unless we're talking about the book. It was a decent start for the movie series but it sure went downhill from there.

I recently rewatched it when my family got a 50 inch plasma tv, so I had plenty of time to choose my favorite scene. I still think the battle scene is the best……
Yes, I agree. I also LOVE the Scene when Aslan is resurrected. Magical, almost. Plus I love it when the White witch says "Impossible!". And then there's the great scene when the Professor says to Lucy, "Keep your eyes open." But, It was so hard, since I loved every one of the scenes. Especially the music!

I don't know why reading this made me want to cry. I guess it's because I love Narnia so much and it makes me sad that I'm growing up and that there aren't any more movies being made for a long while. I wish I could go back sometimes and have all this be new all over again! Narnia does that to me…makes me want to cry…

It has some great moments, but overall it's just a pretty good movie. Well done, but nothing special.
Yeah, its good and all, but to me Prince Caspian and VDT reall ystick out with the personality of their films, while LWW felt sorta blah.

I think one of my favorite scenes was the last scene with Tumnus and Lucy. I love how Tumnus gives Lucy back her handkerchief and squeezes her hand. So believable and so sweet! I remember getting tears in my eyes the first time I saw it, and I still do. π
I voted for Lucy and Tumnus at the lamppost because that really sets up the movie, and I voted for Lucy and Tumnus after the coronation because that brings the movie full circle. Georgie Henley was brilliant in both scenes. I also liked Father Christmas because it is a lighter moment in the middle of a lot of running and hiding. I think that Lewis putting that scene in there was brilliant.
Oh yeah! I loved how Georgie screamed. Not in the book but definitely realistic. Did you see the behind-the-scenes of how they shot that scene?

My favorite scene out of the three I chose was when Lucy finds the wardrobe and goes in for the first time. It was very dramatic and very appropriate for the feel of the film π

That, and Peter's "battle" with Maugrim, were the two most disappointing scenes in the whole movie for me. I loved the movie dearly, but I just felt that those two scenes were very, very compromised, and did not represent the passion and power of Mr. Lewis' words as they should have.
I chose scenes from the film that legitimately moved me. I was expecting the death/resurrection sequence to be the most heart-breaking/uplifting, but, as I said, it wasn't. What really shocked me was the train station sequence at the beginning. Which may surprise some, as I'm known as a "book purist", and that is original material. The absolute agony at the parting of the family, and poor little Georgie's sad, pathetic face displaying Lucy's thoughts of being separated from her mother, really made you feel how desperately lonely those four children were. The music, the mood, the acting… I found that everything perfectly laid the foundation for the children's journey. It told us, "They're frightened, they're leaving everything behind, and they don't know what lies ahead for them.". You care about these kids, and they almost say nothing in that entire sequence. Great work by Adamson and the actors. Plus, that set looked fantastic.
Next, I'd say Lucy meeting Tumnus. So incredibly beautiful, on every level. The infamous reaction of Georgie as she sees the finished set for the first time, on film, the (again) incredible music, the just-cute-enough dialogue between Tumnus and Lucy… what a fantastic moment. I KNEW they had, incredibly, MADE Narnia. It was REAL. I could see it. I'll never forget that.
Lastly, the very final scene with Lucy and Digory walking away hand in hand. Combined with Imogen Heap's wonderful, wonderful music, I thought it was just the PERFECT ending to a fantastic experience. That moment left me with such a buzz. It really FELT magical. So much hope. So much excitement for more to come.

I also loved the Battle of Beruna, the hunt for the white stag, and Aslan emerging from the tent the first time, with the sweeping camera movement of everyone kneeling. Boy, that one shot got me soooo excited in the trailers. I think I watched it a thousand times.
I think all three movies had a great ending to them, PCs was a little sappy, but LWWs and Voyage's were PERFECT.
I also wanted to say thank you to the NarniaWeb people for putting up something new in Narnia news in this REALLY LONG movie news drought! I like stuff like this and wish there was more of it.:D Even if they don't do any more movies, we Narnians need to still do things like this to keep Narnia alive!

Okay, while I didn't exactly see it on the 9th of December 6 years ago today, I can still remember the day pretty well. The film was not perfect, but to the eyes of a recently turned 8 year old… it was inspiration almost. Now of course I view it different as a young teen, but still.
The other night I was listening to parts of the LWW soundtrack, and for the first time, I actually teared up a little. Nostalgia all the way. π
Yes, the track High King and Queen really gives me that nostalgic feeling. I wish HGW chose to stay on as composer, he is an awesome composer who really understands how to do a good score. If not him, Howard Shore is the next best bet.
Yes! Harry Gregson-Williams and Howard Shore are the best! To be perfectly honest, I was a little disappointed with VDT's score, but don't get me wrong! VDT is an awesome movie, too!
The score for VDt wasn't my favorite either, it was just missing that majestic feel of the other movies. Thats why I want Shore, his LOTR music was incredible, I hope hes still composing the music for The Hobbit…….

Nice idea! Normally I would be agonizing over picking just three scenes but I actually just watched LWW last night so I've already been thinking about my favorite parts. So this time, after six years, the scenes that STILL stand out to me are:
The Train Scene (the music is what makes this scene, anxious but exciting, perfect way to start)
The Wardrobe Scene (again, the music is incredible, and everything else is just perfect, the nearly empty room, the rainy window, the fly, her eyes, the cloth falling down, the mothballs, the door left open, the rows and rows of coats…)
Eustace Healed (it's short, kind of an odd favorite scene, but this has always been the part that gets me emotionally)
My favorite scenes out of the whole trilogy would have to be
LWW: Orious' charge, still my favorite scene in LWW
PC: Either the water god scene, or the train scene.
VDT: Either the Eustace undragoning, or the last scene in the movie, when Lucy puts the painting back up on the wall.
Now regarding the Eustace un-dragoning, yes, it could have stayed true to the book. but when you think about it, the way they did it was just fine for me. Aslan looked absolutely magnifecent in that scene, and seeing the change of Eustace afterwards was interesting too. The last 20-30 minutes of Voyage was the best part of the movie, I mean the rest of the movie had its own goal, own plot and everything, but they stayed true to the book on that last 20 minutes. The end of the world scene was amazing, and I can't think of a better way for them to end the Pevensies trip to Narnia then how they did it in Dawn Treader. Yes, the rest of the film would have been tons better without the mist, but I think the movie ended quite qell. And I loved the end credits, those were beautiful as well. Overall, yes, it did need some work, but I have learned to accept the last quarter of the movie as what the whole movie should've been.
It's funny how the last part of the movies always the best! π And I also loved the undragoning of eustace asswell, And even tho eustace was HILARIOUS!! I like the nicer side of him a bit more he seemed almost charming, My FAVOURITE scene in the entire movie was there entrance into narnia! for me that was the most extreme and magical one they had! (even tho the train entry I think is now. π

This is the only Narnia movie I really like. It does seem to lose it's "pizzazz" after watching it so many times though.
I thought it was very faithful to the story and was a great movie all around. I'm not totally sure if it conveyed all the themes of the book, but I'm not sure what all the themes are in the book. I wish someone would share what all the themes are.
It will be hard to decide what is my favorite scene. May take a few days to think it over. π

When you trash the movie, the best scenes from the book are ruined. So I really can't pick a favorite, because they never did the book justice.
They did absolutely did not trash that movie. That was the closest to the book out of all three, and I think it served the book justice. Yes, some of the scenes that are important were shortened and not as emphasized as they should have been, but what you just said is absurd.
^Exacctly! LWW was carried out better then all of them!. And also personally I can't see what's wrong with the other two asswell? , I mean to me they were nothing short of amazing!. I don't get why people say that they were bad , and nothing like the book?
It might help if you actually READ the book. And yes, if you do, Caspian and Voyage are absolutely nothing like the book. But I like them, regardless, PC more so then Dawn Treader.
i like to compare Lord of the Rings adaptations to the Narnia adaptations. Its sad. The love that went into LOTR is incredible. They Narnia crew did not match it. What's up with the water fall sense? the battle sense? the White Whitch looks nothing like she was described in the book? the entire sequence of how they discovered the Narnia was changed. They CHANGED to many thing to make a good adaptation. Non of the movies did the books justice.
Well heres the deal with comparing LOTR and Narnia, they are completely different series, the movies, the books, everything has a completely different tone. Yes, the love that was put into LOTR was amazing, the only movie in the Narnia series that really seamed like the love was there. Now as far as the battle sequences go, I have to complement the sequence for the battle in Lion the Witch and the WArdrobe, it was paced well and it wasnt random fighting like LOTR seemed to be.
LWW was my favourite book and in my personal opionion they stood truer to the book then they did with the other two..Prince caspian …Just wasn't and VDT was The same..But they were still amazing!

Sorry..What I meant was..That I thought all three movies, were true enough to the book that can be excpected, I mean it's not actually easy to keep a movie like the book, there could be multiple problems that could arsise and they diddn't have a choice to change it for all we know, And the "I don't get why people thought they were bad" was b'cos To me it's a movie based on a book and it diddn't really bother me that the two were't exactly the same. π

The Narnia adaptions are very different to LOTR.
Superficially they are the same genre, but after that an entirely different kettle of fish. Using a fantasy game analogy for the films – on a whole -, LOTR is more hack & slash type epic fantasy game where as Narnia is more a fantasy strategy epic type game, that's how different they are as film adaptions. Both type of games have their fans who really like that particular style, same as for the films, can't truely say one fan likes one style better than another likes the other.
I still say that to describe PC and VDT as "nothing like the books" is more than a bit of a stretch. In the case of PC, it has me wondering how long its been since Dylan actually read the book. The movie had most of the same plot points and themes, but it was restructured to make it more cinematic.
When you're reading a book, everything is told to you, so it doesn't make a difference if a large chunk of the book is told in flashback. In a movie its better to show things, so it made more sense to reorganize and tell things chronologically. Yes, they stuck in some filler material. They did the same thing with LWW, though.
I was actually wrong on that part about PC, yes it was differemt then the book, but it was not completely different. They kept it basicallly the same.
@Anhun. Your statement makes me wonder the same. Yes, for the sake of the PC there was restructuring. We get that. But there were also some major plot turns, additions, and subtractions, that did not appear in the book. Same for VDT. A lot of them were unnecessary. The books were great, people loved them! So why change what the people love? so you can make a buck? we have seen how well that worked out
OKay, for one thing, can we stop insulting each other? And another, at Gilglad is right, there was quite a bit of differences from book to big screen. When I said PC was completely different from the book, I meant that stuff was left out, and added in. And too much stuff. At least Prince Caspian had the same goal of the book, while as VDT had a completely different goal and plot.
Here's the sticking point.Was it an "adaptation" ( a translation from book to screen) or was it "based off of" (the general themes, characters, and sequences.) And Dylan, your comment on the fighting of the two movies makes me wonder how much you know about medieval warfare. Going back to the main point: "adaptation" or "based off of". The movies are fine as movies, but they are not "adaptations". I will not be satisfied with a Narnia film until it is a true "adaptation".
Gilglad, do you expect me to be a proffesor, or some historian expert on arms and armor? Do you honestly think I care if it has no realism, because you know what, its still a cool battle scene. Realistic or not, I love battle scenes. Now Gilglad, you may be some high and mighty history teacher who knows everything possible there is to know about medievel fighting, but what you said was a little much.

You criticized the battles of the LOTR, yet you admit your not an expert. I,m not a "High and mighty history professor", just a guy who knows a lot about medieval warfare. I'll say it again, as films, the Narnia series aren't bad. As adaptations, they are lacking. I love both series. According to C.S. Lewis, that gives me the right to criticize. They are in the same genera, thus they can be compared. The Narnia films are not an adaptation, thus, I didn't really like any of the sense. About my comment being "a little much", it was no more so than you suggesting that ILovegeorgie hadn't read the books.
Excellent point. When I critisize LOTR's battle scenes, I probably should put it more as I like LWW's pace better, I love Lord of the Rings. I honestly do, but what I meant by saying Narnias pace was better was that Lord of the rings was every were, it would do one shot of Gimli, then of Aragorn, then Legolas, then Theoden etc, it was a bit dizzying. And the one movie that had alot of that was Two Towers, but almost all the other scenes in the other movies were paced fine.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yes, the LOTR battles scenes are different than LWW. Different type of combat, different filming style. And no, its not suppose to be Gil-galad. Its suppose to sound similar, but not the same.

Again, films were ok as films. As adaptations, not so much. @nic. I'm having a little trouble understanding your analogy. I like both books greatly. Narnia is a more elemetry style book than LOTR, but that doesn't mean the quality of adaptation has to be forsaken. We are not arguing which is better, books or films, we are arguing over the quality of the adaptation. LOTR is far superior in adaptation quality, and I would be thrilled if Narnia films could match it. That said, I'm in favor or a rebut, hopefully and "adaptation" instead of a "based off of".
nic's analogy really proved to me that LOTR and Narnia simply should not be compared. The movies are completely different, and even more so with the books. Yes, the genre is the same, but theres a pretty wide gap between both of them in that genre.

For a book experience or whatnot, go with the original material is a often problem for audiences involved in movies that are not entirely original . Beyond the stylistics interpretations, LOTR films made some very big changes from recollection -without getting into their cons or pros – which were not like the books at all. How does this not make them 'based on', which from what i can gather, is where you are coming from?
As a book fan, i like the variations on the Narnia films from text, it adds an extra area of fun in being able to compare and see how it relates – or not – to the book although for the most part the changes do have connections to the stories in the book and that gives depth to a book fan. LW&W variations were more small shadings of the characters, like the river scene & Peter's hesitancy as opposed to the powerful Narnian King he has become by end of film. PC's variations were more related to deeper themes of the novel and what i have liked the most. VODT was in two minds about where it was coming from, but had additions like the Green Mist which had elements of being a great cinematic idea in relation to the themes of VODT to the other themes in the sequence of the Narnia chronicle narratives, but which wasn't realised to full potential. It had other changes which were less inspired & interesting as relates to the books (& consequently previous two films) though, so i would know where you are coming from to that i suppose.
Again there is difference between say, book & film medium of experience, & both LOTR & Narnia have had sequences of events plotted diff. to those in the books. I don't think that is important, more how it relates to an involving movie that complements the books is what counts.

I just wanna do a quick post about Themes of the Chronicles, so what i was trying to mean abit more in above post.
For VODT novel, to me, one of the main themes is Lucy's journey & experience is of knowing Aslan now she is older – and as a main theme of the film Georgie Henley would have carried it exceptionally well. But the addition added of the Green Mist, could have been amazing theme also in relation to entire chronicles.
PC theme book & movie is about the hearts of man becoming corrupted – in film even Peter & Caspian had troubles with this before conquering it in film. So by VODT, a theme not developed but hinted at is that as Prince Caspian is now King, this problem in Narnia has had to find something else since Narnia is restored under Caspian. So it became the Green Mist, taking a more supernatural guise. After this is defeated in VODT, it becomes Lady of the Green Kirtle for SC – BUT VODT Green Mist is set up to be spell of LoGK, but thematically for overall cinematic Chronicles it makes sense as taking form as her, after it's defeat from VODT, meaning Green Mist wasn't her spell in VODT & she didn't exist then.
This relates to Magician's Nephew, & thematically the whole backstory of Charn, which in the book is the origin of Narnia's corruption before is was a day old in Aslan creating the world. In LW&W for the Chronicles, it is the establishing of the rule of the High Kings & Queens in the Golden Age, thematically, the corruption that originated in Charn has been banished permanently in that era.
Horse & His Boy, while my favourite story, is a side story of the Golden Age and not related to the overall sweep of the themes in the ages of Narnia. The Last Battle though, is the culmination of all of the themes in the journey through all the different ages of Narnia.
This is a main thematic thread that is there in the novels and for the most part in the first three films to date. thanks, π
Actually the green mist-LotGK connection might be interesting if they made Silver Chair. I'm not a huge fan of how they added the mist in the movie, but that actually makes sense. Maybe they meant for Silver Chair to be the sequel to VDT.
Nic, I'm not even going to get into the changes of the other two films, so lets focus on LWW. Your whole argument about themes backs up the point of "based off of", which keeps the general themes. LOTR made some changes, yes, but non of the changes effected the story or weakened the impact or excitement because of it. Narnia did. "Adaptation" is translation form book to screen, LOTR did that. Narnia didn't, so it falls into the category of "based off of". So lets stop arguing about which is a better film (LOTR wins) and start to understand that faithful translation is the key, to a truly great film.
I would also like to through in the point that my brother hasn't even seen VDT because hes scared of how bad they messed that one up

It feels so long ago and yet not long at all. Not as much for Narnia 1 though, at least for me. That feels like it's been out for a long time.
Yeah, Narnia 1 was quite some time ago, but I still feel like VDT was released like last week.

@Dylan: You do know that when Disney was on board, they wanted to cut the production budget to 100 mil, and the people were going to be sacrificed to a green snake head, instead of a green mist? The film climax was going to be an under-water battle scene.
That being said, Disney movies tend to have less severe editing. A Disney VDT would likely have had better story-telling, even with relatively cheap special effects and an even lower level of fidelity to the books.
Disney would have done a better job.

Yeah, months ago I thought it would be appropriate on the Narnia 3 anniversery to quote Peter from Narnia 2 regarding news of another Narnia film. We'll just have to wait. "It'll probably happen when we're not looking for it."

One of my favorites is actually the scene where Aslan dies. It was so well filmed that I almost cried; it gets me every single time. Also, the reason he is dying is super impactful and makes me love him even more (and I also know he won't be dead forever); but I think it is one of the most powerful scenes in the movie. The movie as a whole was amazing, but this scene truly tugs at my heart because I don't want him to die, but I also know why he's choosing to do so. This scene reveals so much about Aslan's character.

When the Centaur (Orious?) goes to save Peter at its own expense is very involving, the whole end battle is great but the extended version is even better – a contrast to end battle in PC for me which i find parts of too cliche/too long & out of sync with movie & i skip it even though i still like PC movie best –
Also the charge of each side going into each other and suspended moments just before they started tearing into each other was pretty cool.
I love that scene.
I found that scene to have a real narnia spirit about it. π

I LOVE narnia and last year I came on this site everyday! well the Jill Pole page b'cos I really wanna audition For JILL POLE!
I Would give ANYTHING to be her!But anyway.. The battle scene is by faaaar my favourite b'cos it leaves you sitting on the side of your seat! it;s intence and that what I love π btw does anyone know the chances of auditioning for Jill?
Oh!, and the opening credits were amaaazing! spesshh the music it was perfect! It had the whole magical feel! π
This was tough … I have several favourite moments in the film, many more than three, and there's no way I can select all of them. So I went for the three scenes that are the most special overall, and for me that's the train journey with the credits, Lucy entering the wardrobe (and Narnia, for the first time), and the end coronation. I think they're the most Narnian scenes in the whole movie.
The opening credits were amazing!

– and Just seeing the actors/actresses names coming up was awesome!

I only skimmed some of the replies, I'd be here for a hour reading otherwise. π
As for the scenes, *I did this the other day* Train scene, music mostly, and actually, the DVD that had the extended edition made it even more touching to me. Tummus and Edmund jail scene, although that was never canon, I was actually glad it was in the movie, of course, at first when I saw it, no, but after seeing it, it become one of my favorite scenes. *I know some nitpicked with the movies VS books seeing the movies. I do that least the first time. and the last one, would have to be Aslan's resurrection. *don't think I really need to explain that one?
As for the movies keeping to the books, I would have to say LWW was the closest. VDT would have to come to close second, though, to me, I felt they through the book up in the air and made it into a jig saw puzzle, at least that's just my POV. PC though it was a decent movie, and again speaking as fan, but it could have done alot better. Also depending how and hoping 'when' they do the other movies if PC will be the 'worst' of the series. HHB or even MN may not do so well, but they could surprise us. Of course… I hope that won't be SC or LB for they are my favorite of the series, seeing Eustace and Jill are my favorite characters.
One favorite moment in VDT was the time was mostly the ending before everyone comes back to this world. Eustace was saying farewell to Reepicheep, that just, nearly had me crying, for they really won't see each other until they reach Aslan's country in LB. But of course I think what really stole the end was Aslan's famous words he said, knowing him in their/our world as they had got to know him in Naria, so glad they kept that in. And of course Lucy turning back to embrace Aslan. It just really really makes me want to see The Last Battle on the big screen, for it was my favorite of the series.
If skip the final big battle just after catapults start slinging to next chapter of Lucy finding Aslan, Prince Caspian is masterpiece of the film adaptions hands down π – & trees coming alive into battle is goosebumps!
I voted kids practising archery and sword fighting, Edmund healed and coronation.
I love the whole movie though. I've watched in 30 times!!!!

i love the scene when they first walk into aslan's camp, i love all the medevial tents with the banners flying and when they first meet aslan and everyone bows. it gives me the chills!

I love the whole movie, but my favorite scenes are 1) when the train leaves with the opening credits, 2) Lucy going into the wardrobe for the second time at night, and 3) Aslan's death. The first two are just so magical and the music is so awesome and it makes my heart swell up. The last is the hardest to watch, but sooooooo well-done.

Mine is the first time Lucy finds the wardrobe. Why? Because from that moment on, there is a big long adventure that awaits her, her sister, and two brothers. Knowing where that wardrobe came from and how a ordinary little girl discovers it and it's magic into a new world where the Pevensies would be crowned as kings and queens.

I honestly don't want them to remake them only b'cos they will never find greater actors/actresses then the four pevensies! Well I'm counting on them being remade in a few years or at the most ten years. I mean come on…they've remade Spider Man already and it wasn't really ten years. Besides Narnia is viewed world wide as one of the largest movie franchises. They have made remakes of almost everything else why not Narnia? Especially considering it's popularity as books. π
And plus it's only logic for movie makers…they know they made a mistake though they still don't get it but they know it was their fault not the stories'.

I was just at a mall that had that Narnia mall display last year and it had the exact same palace, but with no Narnia. π It was kind of sad. I can't believe that was a year ago.

I really like *most* of the actors they have for Narnia, so it would be really hard to ever replace them. But if it meant more faithful adaptions, I'd say yes, a re-do!

Faithfulness would be really nice…but just going with the flow of the story is good enough plus going with the main points of the books. You can get to ungrateful otherwise…I mean I heard of people complaining that LotR was to far away from the books!!! If any movie makers did good on that it was Peter Jackson. Yes it wasn't perfect but it went with the heart of the story.
yeah, lotr followed the main story well. Narnia did NOT at all. They completely changed the plot. Really annoying…
Lion Witch and Wardrobe stuck to the plot, Prince Caspian at least had the plot somewhat correct, but what happened to VDT???? Lewis is rolling in his grave right now…..
To me, LWW is the best out of all. Best score and closest to the book. Then PC and DT. So, either they're going to keep going down hill, or Sc or MN will raise second or third best or first (if they ever make it). One of my favorite scene is when Lucy finds the wardobe and goes into narnia and meets Tumnus. Its breath taking.

Is there any news about the fourth Narnia film? Walden should renew their contract with C.S.L. estate and begin filming narnia 4. Whatever the case, I just wanted to see Narnia again in the big-screen!
Actually NarniaWeb had something up on Oct about Walden's contract as expired. It was confirmed by Douglas Gresham C.S. Lewis' stepson, who would love to see all the Narnia films on screen so would I. He also is the co-producer of the films as well. They hope to film another one in three or four years. That was back in Oct I believe if you go under Narnia Movie News than Douglas Gresham on Future Narnia Films.

Oh it was so hard to choose! There are scenes that aren't my favorite, so those I obviously didn't pick, but most of the scenes I LOVE!! It was so hard to choose just 3… π
My favorite scene is when petter is looking at Cair Paravel in the distance.
I cant decide that, its to difficult. Every scene is even fun and I love all the scenes with Lucy ( and specially with mr. Tumnus. I think I would chose the scene with mr. Tumnus and Lucy and the end, when Tumnus says: It's not a tam (no idea how you write that) lion, you know.
But the scene when Lucy see Narnia for the first time is, I think, my favorite scene too!

2 When Edmund gets pushed down by peter when Ed is making Lucy upset by teasing her about Narnia
And 3 (My ultimate favorite scene in the whole movie:) 3 when Aslan pounces on Jadis And kills her by eating her face off!!

Anyway, my bet for best scene in LWWW will always be those scenes involving Lucy (Georgie Henley) entering the spare room for the first time and eventually discovering what's inside that wardrobe.
