Cameras Ready to Roll on Narnia at Shepperton Studios

Film industry charity The Mark Milsome Foundation have shared an image on their Facebook page and Instagram channel of camera operators Peter Robertson and Zoe Goodwin-Stuart prepping their cameras in readiness for shooting on Greta Gerwig’s ‘Narnia’ movie at Shepperton Studios.
Observations:
- The magazine mounted behind the camera seemingly confirms that the production intends to shoot on film.
- The red “A” on the side of the camera designates it as the primary camera (with “B” usually indicating a secondary camera).
- The grey backdrop likely is being used for testing of costumes and props (note the presence of the color checker mounted in front of the camera).
Both operators are proudly wearing their “Be More Mark” charity t-shirts, featuring a comic-strip design that Peter himself created, which are on sale now to raise money in remembrance of Mark Milsome, a camera operator who was tragically killed whilst filming a car stunt in Ghana in November 2017.
Donations to the Mark Milsome Foundation can be made via their website at markmilsomefoundation.com.

Update 08/07/25
The Mark Milsome Foundation has since removed the post from its social media accounts.
Prob 35 mm , not to say IMAX or vistavision can’t be used during actual filming, would be nice to find out the cast that clearly has been finalized (color checks ) before Venice ( 27 Aug) but excited
I’m hyped!
Good to see they’ve finally reached the threshold of getting this made!
Can’t wait!
Wow! Wow! Wow! We are finally getting another Narnia movie!
This is great news! I wish they would release the cast already, though!
Let’s go!
So I looked up both Peter Robertson and Zoe Goodwin-Stuart on IMDb and there is nothing to do with Netflix’s project on either of their pages. Neither of them have anything listed upcoming at all, in fact. And that Instagram page you linked doesn’t show this image or anything else to do with Netflix’s Narnia. When I google search all of this, the only thing that comes up is this post. This whole thing feels made up. And I thought filming was delayed until the fall? I’m confused.
@rosenquartz – it does look like the charity have taken down their postings on both Instagram and Facebook, probably at the direction of Netflix.
I can assure you though it’s not made up,
No, this makes sense. Camera prepping/testing can take a couple of months before any actual filming takes place. I know that from watching all those LOTR EE documentaries. 😉
What this proves is that casting has surely been confirmed. I think they will keep the cast under wraps so they don’t get spotted/followed when filming on-location.
@Icarus
What does that prove? I’m just to take your word for it? Is this not a fan site? How do you know so much? There’s nothing on that page about Netflix OR Narnia. This whole article is about a foundation that, when I looked it up, has nothing to do with Netflix or Narnia! Why would they post this and then take it down the same day? This is weird. Also, has anyone heard anything more about what’s become of Douglas Gresham? Is he still ill? How come I can’t find anything about that?
I’m guessing they didn’t expect it to get picked up on and then Netflix asked them to take it down. It’s funny that Netflix would want this removed… considering it’s for charity and there’s nothing “revealing” about this.
As far as I know, the staff at Narniaweb look at many websites to find out the information for their stories. They must have found that photo when they found that website. But then it was deleted, it seems. It seems like the Narniaweb team work very hard. That’s why they post stories about obscure film podcasts, where a film team member has talked about the Narnia movie.
