New ‘Narnia’ Set Photos Reveal Likely Home Street of Digory and Polly

A newly uncovered planning application for the construction of a large outdoor film set near Longcross Studios in Surrey has been traced back to Netflix’s Narnia production company by the NarniaWeb news team.

According to the documents, set construction began in April 2025, with filming starting sometime before September 3rd. The submitted documents describe the build as consisting of “faux street facades” forming a curved section of road surrounded by rows of terraced housing.

Site plans included in the application (see diagrams below) outline the overall layout of the film set and surrounding facilities, including lighting and sound units, portacabins, and a car parking field area. Additional architectural drawings show the street’s design and elevation, revealing a detailed arrangement of connected houses along the curved roadway.

Photos of the already constructed set, which were supplied to Runnymede Council for retrospective approval, show the same layout visible in the plans. The distant images appear to indicate houses of a similar architectural design and period setting to those of the other real-world filming locations previously seen in LondonManchester, and Bradford.

The planning application also notes that the set is to be surrounded by an “inflatable blue screen,” indicating that the street scene will be digitally extended or augmented in post-production. Approximately 200 to 250 crew members were present during filming, along with between 100 and 300 extras on set.

Filming on this set was scheduled to take place over 30 non-consecutive days, with the majority of principal photography already occurring between mid-September and the end of October. Additional filming during November is only expected to be required for sporadic retakes (should the need arise), and filming as a whole is anticipated to conclude by December 12th.

Due to the long duration of the shoot and the volume of extras, it seems clear that this set is being used for the filming of significant scenes. Taken together with all of the visual indicators, this location is very likely the street on which both Digory and Polly reside.
