20th Anniversary Watch Party: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

This December marks 20 years since the theatrical release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Next weekend, we are inviting NarniaWebbers around the world to gather on our Discord channel to re-watch and discuss the movie once again . The main discussion will take place in the chat, but you will also be able to listen to Talking Beasts podcasters (and other NarniaWebbers) in the voice channel.
When:
- Friday Dec 12 at 8:00pm ET
- Saturday Dec 13 at 12:00pm ET
How it works:
On the day of the event, a link to the Discord server will be added to this post. A free Discord account is required. (Our Discord server is usually Patreon-exclusive, but will be open to the public during the event)
We will be streaming the movie’s timecode to keep everyone’s movies synchronized. But even if you don’t have a copy of the movie playing at home, you are welcome to join the discussion.

I hope to make this, but I think the only way I can is if my prior commitment is cancelled! Let’s see what happens.
The Chronicles of Narnia the lion, the witch and the wardrobe 2005 second remake film by Disney and Walden Media is my all time favorite Narnia film. There’s the 2d animated 1979 cartoon film, the 1988 BBC Narnia TV series followed up with Prince Caspian, voyage of the dawn treader with the 2008 and 2010 remake and BBC only Narnia the silver chair 1990 TV show. I wish that Disney company would reissue Narnia 2005 film in AMC, Cinemark, IMAX theaters for the 20th anniversary but sadly it was given the cold shoulder. I do dread the upcoming altered Narnia the magicians nephew 2026 rock and roll 1950s film which isn’t going to stay true to the book. I guess I’ll have to rewatch Narnia 2005 second remake film on Disney plus.

I participated in the first watch party. It kind of made me want to rewatch all the Narnia movies and reread all the books and maybe listen to all the radio theatre adaptations. But, alas, I don’t think I have time this month.
It was sure fun! It brought back memories! Though not done perfectly, I still appreciated the effort they put into it! Hopefully we can do this again for Walden’s PC when it turns 20!
