  2. emijoy says:

It does seem like they changed a few things but it looks like it will still be very good.

  3. that was awesome!!!!!

  4. Evan Morgan says:

Lilinadil looks amazing! Love the way she glows!

  5. NarnianHarper says:

Most of this is the same footage we've seen the trailers, just put in chronological form. There is a brief glimpse of the transformation of the dragon back to Eustace, and a scene of the conflict between Edmund and Caspian from Goldwater island. It all really looks good!

  6. Pepper Darcy says:

I am sooooo sooooo SO loving the seven swords plot! It looks amazing! 😀

  7. NarnianHarper says:

Hey, does anyone think the narrator is the voice of the "new" Whit from Odyssey, Paul Herlinger? Also, how did Aslan give the seven swords to the seven lords if he hadn't been seen in Narnia for over a thousand years? I hope they don't leave this as a huge plot hole. I hate those…

  8. Manuel says:

    I agree.

  9. The Archenlander says:

mine stopped loading at 1:24….lol….maybe its someone telling me to stop watching it and wait for the movie 🙂

  10. Rhys says:

    Dragon Transformation looks good!

  11. Saerwen says:

    Neat! 🙂

  12. always narnian says:

No…..I already no too much!!!!!!! 🙂

  13. always narnian says:

it seems to me like they are copying LOTR way too much…this is Narnia people, not Middle Earth….glowing swords! This is ridiculous!

  14. adamie says:

No, I'm quite sure it's Bill Nighy, He was recording reep, so maybe they let him voice this as well.

  15. always narnian says:

    know*

  16. Queen Elizabeth says:

I love Ben and Skandar, but did anyone else think thier little fight on Goldwater island is a little cheesy? I still love it 😀

  17. Michael says:

  19. me too!!!!! this is SO amazing!

  20. Hwin says:

    I don't dare to click… =P

  21. LOTRFREAK says:

    it was in the book.

  22. Pepper Darcy says:

oh good, Lib! I was sooo worry I was being wicked because I loved the seven swords plot. When Lord Bern said 'given by Aslan to protect…' I was HOOKED on that plot!! 🙂 *gasp* I can't wait!

Hey, Always, i wanted to tell ya, I'm getting ready to work on the picture I promised you!! 🙂 SOOO excited to do it. I just needed to get in my head what I wanted to do and to get some other pics for friends done 🙂

In two weeks, just about now, we'll probably be sitting in a theater giggling to death from excitement! I can't believe it's almost here!! HORRAY! 😀

  23. Pepper Darcy says:

I saw that and thought… great another Caspian/Peter deal… then I thought, oh yeah, duh! It WAS in the book! And Ed's more likely to get caught in a fight than Peter anyways, bookwise 😉

  24. Caspian XI says:

    THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 I CAN'T wait for this movie!!! 😀

  25. Queen Su says:

    I don't dare click either… I don't want too many spoilers. 12 days!! 🙂

  26. Queen Elizabeth says:

I know it was in the book. But the way they constructed it in the film just made me giggle. I love how they bring out Ed's rebellious side just a little. And I like the conflict of them both thinking they should be the rightful kinhg. I honestly think Ed is the rightful king because he was the first one crowned. Yet Caspian actually lives his whole life in Narnia and can rule it fairly.

  27. Queen Elizabeth says:

THERE ARE NOT REALLY ANY SPOILERS. All it does is tell what islands they go to. And show footage we've already seen, for the most part.

  28. REDROBINS007 says:

"Edmunds temptation is to be king again…" wow this is sort of the same as Peter in Prince Caspian what are these people thinking I know Darkwater Island is where the enchanted pool can drive a person mad but its still like following Peters desire to be king again from Prince Caspian

  29. aslan4ever says:

    so bautiful…

  30. Kotarki says:

That narrator really gets on my nerves, not every island, especially Ramandu's is the most dangerous location on the journey. I like that Skandar describes the battle as a tustle which is much better than a full out battle. Aslan giving the swords their power makes sense, giving Miraz even more reason to banish the lords, though it is a little cheesy. Edmund's little speel about becoming the most powerful person in the world was delivered very awkwardly, I would think they could find a different way to allow the audience to realize this. I wonder if those parts of the map that it cuts to will be in the movie or just for the featurette. The way Eustace is undragoned is not nearly as bad as they could have made it. A lot of good footage, I'm excited to see where it goes.

  31. Flute player says:

Well, in the book, it was more of Caspian who was like, "Ooooh, shiny, gold!" and Edmund was like, "You idio Caspian, what do you think you're doing? And anyway, that gold's mine," and Caspian's like, "Oh, really, Edmund? You wanna go? Huh? Huh? You wanna go?"
    Well, OK, technically:
"The King who owned this island," said Caspian…"Would soon be the riches of all the Kings of the world. I claim this land forever as Narnian possession…."
"Who are you talking to?" said Edmund, "I'm no subject of yours…you are under allegience to the High King my brother."
"So it has come to that, King Edmund, has it?" said Caspian, laying his hand on his sword hilt"
OK, so they got the whole Caspian pulling out the sword and starting the actual threat of violence, but really, it was Caspian who wanted the gold to begin with, Ed just got defensive.

  32. A pretty nice shot of the Kings on that wall!

  33. Flute player says:

Yeah, I hope they don't do the whole map thing, that would be kind of lame, and a bit distracting from the story. It would make it seem less "real" I think.

  34. Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King or Queen.

  35. Hey I just saw a moviephone advertisement on a sidebar here.
"New movies this holiday" or something. One of the snowglobes had a picture of Aslan, VDT version, the one where he's looking through snow!

  36. blueRain says:

I tried to watch it and it froze. I'm actually kind of glad now because I realized that I want to be surprised when I see it. I read and watched way too many spoilers for PC and that kind of ruined it for me. Does that makes sense? lol.

  37. Aslan's Meadow says:

    Mine keeps stopping there too!!!

  38. dinode says:

Is it just me, or is Dragon Eustace's skin going to be burned off? It could work. Maybe.

  39. I loved it! The new scenes are amazing, and the plot is awesome. The Goldwater situation looks really good, can't wait to watch it!! Nice to see Laura Brent finally too! By the way, I wonder why they don't tell us her name instead of keep saying "Ramandu's Daughter"? And why would they say that Ramandu's Island had evil forces? But anyway, my impatience just increased by 500%. ^_^

  40. glumPuddle says:

To be honest, it is puzzling to me how a fan could love the book and be excited about the seven swords plot. From all appearances, it could not be more contrary to what the book is about. It seems to turn VDT into a save-the-world survival story, which is fundamentally different from what he book is. The book is a selfless and noble quest to right what was wronged out of a sense of personal responsibility.

  41. narnian resident says:

haha! "Click here, if ye dare", thats funny 😀
great video. saw it yesterday when someone commented with the link in the other update with the 7 smaller clips. i really love it, how it explains the journey to allow us to get a better idea of the story.

  42. sirsimon says:

it looks set to be the best out of the series so far, it doesn't look that different from the book, I prefer the book to be original material, while the film is simply Apted's intepretation of the material.

I think we have been moaning for no reason, from this video, I have no reason to hate this, in fact I love it all, yes there were changes, but they are tiny.

Plus I love the fact that the books heart is in it, how these events will help them fight their weaknesses, from greed, to tempetation to vanity, its all here.

We will all end up enjoying the film anway, so hush hush with the moan moan lol

  43. Queen Elizabeth says:

Thank you Flute player… for those um.. words of wisdom? Although I've read the book twice and know what happenes. I was just voiceing my observations.

  44. pray aginst abortion! says:

yes i like what you said and The lion The witch and The wardrobe did come out first and they were knighted kings first does that make sense???? maybe not idk i just thought maybe it did!

  45. pray aginst abortion! says:

i LOVED it! Narnia is so great we have friends coming down from C.A. to see it!!!!

  46. Doug says:

Yeah, I'm with you, Glum. But then again, I've pretty much given up on the hope that they will ever just trust the plots that CS Lewis wrote without trying to "Hollywoodize" the script. I guess the feeling with Walden is that if you are going to spend millions of dollars to make a movie, then it has to follow a standard Hollywood plot formula if it is going to be successful. I just wish that they would realize that there is a reason why the Narnia books have been successful for over 50 years, and it's not because Lewis needed a script doctor to dumb down the plot.

  47. Scarlet13 says:

I cant believe that I clicked it and whatched it! I can't Wait to see it!!! its kindof weird when edmund is like "The Most powerful person in the world!" Oooo!

  48. elanor says:

Hmmm…it's extremely tempting to watch…but I think I will resist temptation and wait for the greater reward of the movie in full! I already know to much anyway…:)

  49. Not Of This World says:

There's a new Whit? I didn't know this. Every episode i've seen has been during the time of the cowboy episode :-)My little Bro and Sis are beginig to watch them on some cable network.

  50. aragorn2 says:

Not to be rude but the idea of Aslan giving Telmarines who hated his people and didn't even believe in him is really dumb

  51. Mayor Wilkins says:

I think we all need to remember that films and books are different things.
Things that work in the book will not necessarily translate well onto film.
I hate to say it, but there will be changes to every book adaptation you will ever see. The credits say "BASED ON the book by C.S. Lewis" for a reason.

I will say it again, as I've been typing this in for weeks.
In order to make a successful fantasy film today, you almost certainly need an evil of some kind to overcome. Audiences today love Good Vs. Evil. One of the major criticisms I heard from "Prince Caspian" was, compared to the White Witch in the first film, the Telmarines were a bit weak in the villains department. I personally loved Sergio as Miraz, but I can still see where this criticism is coming from. If the aim is to improve on "Caspian," then they needed to incorporate a stronger villain. And it had to be one that was mystical in nature.

Thus, they took something only slightly described in the book (The Dark Island) and took some artistic license with it. They created an elemental force of evil (The Green Mist–Lewis does mention a mist in the Dark Island chapter, actually), which symbolizes the temptations our heroes have to learn about and overcome on their journey of discovery. The Green Mist is a great idea because it's not actually a new character…it's an abstract idea, merely a symbol of temptation. It's eerie, it's terrifying, and it's perfect for Dark Island. Finally, they took some artistic license with Aslan's Table and the seven swords, which will be used in the film to overcome the spell causing the lords at the table to sleep.

The expansion of Dark Island and the quest of the seven swords is just a bit of glue to help piece together the journey for the movie audience. I'm in no way calling the general audience unintelligent. But if you're making a theatrical movie, there has to be SOMETHING that makes the story a cohesive whole. And that something has to be easily understood by everyone, not just book fans like us.

In the book, readers have the luxury of reading chapter by chapter and taking each island visit as its own little episode. That works in print because there are definite breaks (chapters) between each one. It would NOT work on film. There has to be one thread tying it all together. The inclusion of gathering some swords works. And in my opinion, it is not a dramatic change. Actually, it seems like a relatively small addition. I think it will do its job and do it well.

Yes, it is VERY possible to love both the book and the movie at the same time. Why? Because the book and the film are two different things. Besides, the core values of the book are very much at play in the movie. Courage, nobility, discovery…. and of course the Christian themes in Lewis's work. It is all there if you allow yourself to look for it.

Actually, it's surprising to me how a fan of these books could not be excited by this movie. I think, as purists, some of us get a little carried away with our narrow viewpoints. The beauty of the Narnia books is that they call on your imagination to visualize what is happening. Well….. these movies are a combination of many Narnia fans' imaginations into one whole. I think these films are a beautiful tribute to that wonderful quality of Lewis's work. Several Narnia lovers coming together to celebrate the brilliance of imagination in the novels. A Narnia fan who picks apart every little minute change from the text is quite honestly doing themselves a disservice because they are missing the point. Instead, I think we should all try to celebrate Narnia and all its brilliance by watching the story come to life. 😉

We've all read Narnia. Now let's see how other people, other Narnia fans, interpreted the same thing. Now that is magical. 😀

    Cheers! 😉

  52. aragorn2 says:

It isn't the glowing that is the problem, how else would you show magic courseing through them without a glow or something like that. The real problem is the emphasis on it, especially since it isn't from the book and it is rather contrary.

  53. Hwin says:

Hahaha, I agree with both of you 🙂

  54. lucyrocks17 says:
