Narnia Advertising Watch Continues
NarniaWebber, beloved, has posted several pictures of a large Dawn Treader stand now showing up in movie theaters. The large image features major characters such as Caspian, Reepicheep, and the Pevensies. Three surprising characters make an appearance as well.

How come no one is freaking about the White Witch? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I was so hoping she wouldn't be in this one. I am hoping it just means she will appear in a dream. I actually don't mind the older Pevensies making an appearance because they are mentioned in the book, but the White Witch…arg. She looks like she is coming out of the water…
These are just posters, Archenlander. Aslan will probably look a lot different in the movie. Just check out the posters for the previous movies.

In the book he is in human form as a magician/wizard. The VDT crew doesn't even know he is a star until Ramandu tells them. And the man in the picture is holding a staff just as Coriakin is described as having in the book. Don't recall any Dufflepuds with a staff. 🙂
What's wrong with lucy? she looks weird.. and WHAT is wrong with the minotaur???!
There is a very brief mention in the book, I believe, of an island "where dreams come true," but it's actually an island that gives you really bad nightmares, or something like that, so people are assuming, since Jadis is reportedly only in a dream sequence, that it will be Edmund's nightmare from the island.
I think it's been reported that the Witch is only appearing in a dream sequence, which in all honesty, makes sense. So I think we're okay 🙂
That's actually a spear, not a staff. And I got to see the picture of a Dufflepud before it was taken down for copyright reasons–it looked just like the one on the poster.
I'm not trying to sound like a know-it-all. But the picture is almost identical to the one that had to be taken off Narniaweb. Trust me, I'm 99% sure. 🙂
(Besides, can you picture Coriakin with wild red hair? He would look too silly!)

oh my….that isnt such a good minotaur. they could definitly have done better with that. but OMG! Peter, Susan, and Jadis is there! i've been hoping that they would possibly put in a small part in the beginning that shows where Peter and Susan are so people who havent read the book can know what they're doing. and if they are, then brownie points to them! 😀 and also they need a cameo of Susan when Lucy does that spell in Coriakin's house anyway. i think it would be very interesting to have a small cameo with Jadis, perhaps in Edmund's nightmare, as some people are predicting. that would be very cool, cuz then it will show how her and Edmund still seem to have some sort of connection, one that she wants to keep and one that he wants to forget. eeehhh! i am getting really, really, REALLY exctited right now! im just hoping i dont pass out when i finally see the trailer. that wouldnt be too cool.
Wow! It looks great except I do not like the Minotaur. But other than that it looks great to me. 🙂 What are Jadis, Susan and Peter doing there? Could they be making an appearance in the movie? Caspian looks great and Lucy is looking really pretty. 🙂

i dont understand why they put a satyr, minotaur, and dwarf on there either. what i dont get, is why they didnt put important characters on there, like Drinian, Rhince, Rynelf, the Star's Daughter, or even little Gael. these narnian creatures on there just arent making any sense to me. i think its good that they put some real narnians on the ship for the movie, but posters and such should focus on the real minority characters, which are basically the regular human people, which is the Pevensies, Eustace, Caspian, Drinian, and perhaps Rhince or Rynelf. the only narnian they would have to put on there who is very important is Reepicheep, and of course Aslan. Peter, Susan, and Jadis arent really necessary to put on the poster, because, even if they have a small cameo thats important to the story, it will confuse people into thinking they're in the main story and they play a big part. they need to think about those people who havent read the story and can be confused by all this.

Wow, I'm DAZZLED. To be honest, I really, really, really, really LOVE this poster-it's pretty (Though Ed still looks like the duke of galma's daughter with all that squinting-get the boy some contacts!). My only worry is tilda being on there-she had BETTER just be in there for a dream/nightmare/dark island thingie, if they try to bring her back again like that awful scene in PC (I LOVE the PC movie-and I'm STILL in denial about that), I'm lodging a formal protest. Who's with me?!

Is it me or does this look a little made up? Like it's not real? Because the photo of Peter looks very much like its been took from a red carpet event. All the other photos looks alright just that one :/

No wonder Aslan will say that "they" are too old: they are too old! lol Anyway, I am really neither here nor there with the whole picture. (Asterix and Obel…. I mean Lucy and Edmond and… all those other characters all at Sea. That is what the poster looks to me.)

Hey, SINCE WHEN have we EVER been completely satisfied with the way they make posters anyway?? It's the MOVIE that counts. If they get the movie right, that's all that matters.

Susan and Peter should not be in it neither should the White Witch. The whole thing is just not good it looks weird like cartoonish well I'm not happy about this but, The poster is not the movie guess will have to see the finished product, THE MOVIE! Till then we have to wait can't wait to see the trailer! =(

The White Witch only appears in a dream sequence. Her appearance will be shorter than in PC.

O_o That's funny. Why would they put Peter, Susan and the White Witch on there??? Then again, maybe that's not the witch??? I don't know. Does this make me concerned?… a little bit, but it's not enough to ruin my current optimistic enthusiasm about this film right now.
For people who don't like how Lucy looks. I wouldn't worry too much.
1) She's getting older, so don't expect her to look cute and innocent as much anymore.
2) This is just a promo pic. They usually doll up the girls with more make up than they do in the actual film for this. Just like Susan for PC. I remember seeing how much make up they put on her for the cover of the DVD and she didn't really look like that in the movie.

Well, since we Narnia fans have nothing else to analyze right now…I guess we have to analyze this poster right to the ground. It gives us something to occupy ourselves until the movie comes out. 😉
Whoah. Looks like the LWW poster. Nostalgic. I'm just gonna say to everyone, quit freaking out. The reason Peter and Susan are on there is because the filmmakers are "returning" to the magic that is Narnia. The magic they, for the most part, captured in LWW. They're trying to jog people's memories. You can just stone me if I'm wrong.
That really doesn't look like Jadis to me. Maybe a siren… or a merwomen. Looks very watery. Though I suppose I can imagine Jadis turning up during the Dark Island scene.
I don't think i have the best feeling ever about that poster. It is making me all confused.
Why in the world do they have to keep bringing her back?!?! And if it is only for a small dream why in the world do they have it on the poster?!?!?!?!?! She is only suppose to be in one movie, not three. Keep the story of Aslan alive!!!
Now I may be wrong but someone said that it was the white witch and that she shows up in a dream sequence. I am fine with her showing up in a dream sequence, I am supposing it takes place at the Dark Island. I mean it totally makes sense that she would show up.
Well, this is all food for speculation. One thought that comes to me about Susan: what if she is the one Lucy spies on, instead of 'Marjorie Preston', with Coriakin's book? Rather than try to introduce a new character who disappears in one scene, what if she sees Susan telling her cynical party-going friends about this imaginary play-world called "Narnia" and laughing along with their sophisticated banter? That would be potent dramatic stuff.
I do agree, the minotaur looks like he's been fast-talked by Bugs Bunny, but for me that's the only sour note. Ramandu's daughter looks adorable and Reepicheep and Caspian look older and wiser, as they should. Lucy, surrounded by the halo of light, looks more stylized, almost like some pictures of Radha, the consort of Krishna. Even Edmund looks like he's stepping out from under Peter's shadow, something he has to do to grow. The book is about growing wiser, and each character's path is different. I remain hopeful and optimistic.

Fun getting a new poster, but was a little shocked at the appearance of (what appears to be) the White Witch aka Jadis, but pumped about seeing Will and Anna back! (even for a litle bit)

What is wrong with Lucy's face? She doesn't have to smile. She IS getting older! It's a serious pose: contemplative, dreamy, etc. Lucy's changed.
I MUCH preferred the Aslan & Reepicheep poster to this! It had better [and to me classic] artistry. I want more character posters–with Eustace, Edmund, Lucy, etc–like the Aslan/Reep one!
