Part of our mission at NarniaWeb is to “facilitate and encourage civil, productive, and enjoyable discussion about the world of Narnia.” The guidelines below help us maintain that environment.
By posting a comment on a news article, you agree to abide by these rules:
1. Be respectful
Treat fellow NarniaWebbers, public figures, and companies with fairness and respect. You may criticize ideas or opinions, but do not attack individuals. Avoid hateful, inflammatory, or aggressive language.
2. Stay on topic / No spam
Please keep comments relevant to the article and the discussion at hand. While many news stories overlap in theme, your comment should contribute to the specific topic being discussed. For ongoing or extended discussions around broader topics, please visit our Community Forum.
Self-promotional posts are discouraged and may be deleted if they are unlikely to inspire meaningful discussion about Narnia.
3. No debating politics or religion
Expressing your political or religious beliefs might be acceptable in some cases if it is directly relevant to a topic, but this is not the place for ongoing discussion/debate about them. Politically charged terms (i.e “woke”) are strongly discouraged and will likely result in the post being deleted. Again, please stay on topic.
4. No trolling
Intentionally or not, if the moderators suspect a comment is likely to stir up emotions without leading to meaningful discussion about Narnia, it might be deleted.
5. Check for accuracy
You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. If a comment contains factual errors, it might be deleted or edited.
Report concerning comments
If you see a comment you believe to be in violation of these rules, please report it to the moderators. Thank you!
