Reindeer Not Allowed at Film Set

As expected, New Zealand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry rejected Lamp Post Production’s request to import twelve reindeer. The national manager of import management, Dr. Kerry Mulqueen, said the United States reindeer population was suffering from the potentially deadly “Q Fever”.

The reindeer, who will pull the White Witch’s sleigh and reportedly Father Christmas’s sleigh as well, will probably be digitally created by WETA Workshops.
