From Bank-teller to Makeup Artist

Just a few years ago, Vincenza Sharpe saw an ad for a makeup class and became interested in makeup artistry. The Vancouver Sun writes: “Last January, she took a keen interest in prosthetics makeup, in which you apply latex pieces to the head to turn actors into things like vampires or zombies. Then, like a scene straight out of a fantasy movie, she got a call to work on the Disney sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Suddenly, the one-time bank teller was en route to Prague. Not that the call had come completely out of the blue. She had decided to apply for a job by sending an e-mail to Howard Berger, winner of an Oscar for best achievement in makeup for the first Narnia movie.” It’s a great story, read it here
