Digital Arts Talks to Framestore About ‘Prince Caspian’ VFX

Digital Arts has posted a detailed story on Framestore’s work on the special effects for Prince Caspian. It discusses the challenges Framestore faced in recreating CGI characters that had already been seen in the first film, including how they tweaked certain features like Aslan’s eyes to improve the appearance. The article also talks about how they created Trufflehunter, Pattertwig, and the dryads, as well as several effects-based scenes like the train station and the CG soldiers. There’s also an interesting tidbit about how they had to recreate Lucy’s hair digitally for continuity in the last scene where the Pevensies leave Narnia and re-enter their world.
