  6. Cynical Narnia Fanboy says:

    lol 🙂
Oh yeah, I just saw that the second one was for 18 up…hmmm i'll have to check it out

  7. Louloudi the Centaur says:

Rats! First I'm too old then I'm too young.:( I hope they soon have a contest for 7th-11th grade.

  8. Fire Fairy says:

Finally a contest I'm not too old to enter… 😀

  9. If you're under 18, consider this! http://www.focusonchristmas.com/faqs

"Who can enter the contest? You must be 18 years old and a U.S. resident to enter. However, you may have your child write the essay as long as the parent or guardian over 18 enters contest."

A parent can enter the contest and you can write the essay and that way, both you and the parent have a chance to win!

  10. Fire Fairy says:

Dang it! I entered, but I forgot to write why I wanted to go to London! 🙁 I was too caught up writing about why Lucy's my favorite character… 🙂 I resubmitted it, though, so hopefully they'll accept it!

  11. Peter's Wendy says:

I have won writting contests before…hope I can win this one!!!

  12. Maki says:

Why is everything in America? It's not even in Enlgand??

  13. Bookwyrm says:

Probably because those are American companies.

  14. Narnian_Dreamer says:

They should do one for people in Canada! I mean, it's always in the united states! It's not fair!!! 🙁

  15. Hermit of the Northern March says:

This is good news, if Focus on the Family is supporting the movie in this way, it probably means the message has been retained or at least unchanged.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER!

  16. Exciting! Good luck to all the young fans and not-so-young writers!

  17. Pepper Darcy says:

*gasp* I entered this. I would dearly love to win this. But… I doubt it. I usually never win *anything*… But I entered the Focus on the Family one! Wow! Just winning the runner up prize would be pretty neat. I'd love to get my hands on my *own* set of Narnia audio books. Oh! I'd so love to win… and go to England… try out my British Accent and see what *they* think of it 😉 Wow… and then seeing Apted, Georgie, Skandar, and Will?! Wow…

  18. Pepper Darcy says:

if I don't get to London, I'll *have* to settle for getting to Narnia by some other means!! =D

  19. Narnian_Dreamer says:

Do you know of any contests that are for Canadians? I really want to enter but they have all only been for the United states residence! CANADIANS LOVE NARNIA TOO!!!!! 🙁

  20. I agree. I'm an American, but it seems like everything Narnia is either aimed at English or American residents!

It's too bad that I can't enter the contest…I'm the right age, but don't live in England…

  21. Narnian_Dreamer says:

Q.Susan, you don't have to live in England for these contests! You have to live in the US so you can still enter! Good luck! 🙂 If anyone hears anything about Canada please tell me!!! 🙂

  22. narnian resident says:

man, i'm right between those entry ages. how annoying!

  23. narnian resident says:

and im really good at essays. i would either write about Lucy, Eustace, or Jill. probably Lucy

  24. J.G.Heck says:

No, why not anything to qualify for a 17 year old.

  25. Aunt Letty says:

Lucky for me, although I was in the sixth grade…ummmm…well, let's just say it's longer than you've been alive, Cynical, I do happen to have one last sixth grader around the place. Woo Hoo!

  26. Lucy P. says:

I agree J.G. Heck. I'm right between the two ages windows, too.

  27. Not Of This World says:

Again! I never apply to these things! Man!

  28. EnnaGirl says:

No fair! I'm not the right ages for either of the contests! The Focus on the Family contest ends 2 days before my 18 b-day! Not fair!

  29. ReepicheepForever says:

they need to have one for 7-11 graders! i cant enter ethier of them!

  30. EnnaGirl says:

I have the audio books and they are awsome! Deffiantly a cool prize. I can't count how many times I've listened to them!

  31. HighQueenofNarnia says:

I was quite pleasantly surprised when I saw that. Focus on the Family (at least in my circles) is well respected, and the film must not be /that/ bad, if they're supporting it!

  32. TO ALL NARNIA FANS UNDER 18: PLEASE READ! http://www.focusonchristmas.com/faqs

"Who can enter the contest? You must be 18 years old and a U.S. resident to enter. However, you may have your child write the essay as long as the parent or guardian over 18 enters contest."

What does this mean? A parent can enter the contest and you can write the essay and that way, both you and the parent have a chance to win! You don't have to be 18 to write an essay! A parent can enter the contest for you! You can still win something!!!

  33. Queen Elizabeth says:

Me too! 🙂 And it seems like you can enter more than once with both parents. So I can enter twice! If not then I'll have my sister write something because she is a pro writer, and if that wins she'll giv me the trip! :)Because she wouldn't want to go anyway.

  34. Queen Elizabeth says:

HEY NARNIA FANS! Go to HarperCollins kids.com and there is a contest to win great prizes and all you have to do is give them your email!

  35. Narnian_Dreamer says:

Do you know anything about a contest for canadians???? If so please tell me!!

  36. Susan the Gentle says:

I know!! Oh how i wish they allowed Canadians to enter contests! But I'm too old to enter this contest anyways 😛

  37. I would write 2000 words for this 😛

  38. Queen Elizabeth says:

Me too! Sadly 200 words is hard to do 🙁

  39. hot chic says:

you should have one for like… thirteen year old and up!!!!!

  40. Queen Elizabeth says:

ANY AGE CAN ENTER!!!!!! I just did and I'm only 15 🙂

  41. Northernranger says:

AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! I can do it and my older sisters can too!!!!!!! That would be so amazing to win!!! Keep the story of Aslan alive

  42. Queen Elizabeth says:

What would you do if they won the trip and you didn't? That would make me mad. My sister would let me go on the trip because she isn't a huge fan like me 🙂

  43. Aslan's Meadow says:

I love writing!!! But I have a question I would LOVE to have answered.
It says to write why you love your character in 200 words, and say why you would like to go to London. Do you have to include your London answer IN your 200 words, that would seem like a lot of crunching.

  44. Aslan's Meadow says:

You can't enter twice, it says "one essay per person". But multiple family members can enter. Sorry.

  45. Northernranger says:

It says it is for a winner and their guest so they would take ma along. And even if it was for just one person and they won I would be supper excited for them!!!!!

  46. Northernranger says:

I just read rules over again and it said only one entry for household. Guess we need to decide who is writing it!!

  47. Aslan's Meadow says:

It says one one winner per houshold, but they do exept multiple household members.

  48. Northernranger says:

I keep reading it wrong. I caught that right after I wrote that.

  49. Queen Elizabeth says:

I know, but they won't know if it is me or my sister anyway. Since you only say the name of you rparent, and I have two parents so…

  50. Queen Elizabeth says:

    *parent

  51. Queen Elizabeth says:

Well If your older sister wins I hope they would bring you Nothernranger. And if I don't win the big trip, I'm goin for the prize pack! 🙂 Either way my parents said we will see the premier at the local theater anyway. So either way I score! 🙂

  52. Aslan's Meadow says:

Sorry, I misunderstood you. Your're right. For every 18 year old (or older) you have in your house you can enter.

  53. Aslan's Meadow says:

I'm really not explaining myself well today.
I meant for every 18 year old (or older) person you can have a kid younger enter…not you twice….:D sorry.

  54. Queen Elizabeth says:

I get what you mean. But if my sister and I both enter, and she wins, she would give me the trip. That is what I have been trying to say. And even thought this is against the rules I know some people who are writing two essays (a different character each time) and sending them in, one per parent. So they really enter twice. What I am doing is just getting the trip if my sister or I win.

  55. Narnia Ultimate Fan says:

Grrr. My family takes an active part in Focus on the Family but we live in Canada. I'm going to die because everyone is getting a chance except me. 🙁

  56. Narnian_Dreamer says:

I agree! I live in Canada too! It's not fair everything is for Americans or English folk! >:(

  57. Alambil and Tarvis says:

My dad listens to FotF almost every night–how come I haven't heard anything about this?!

Anyway…I guess I should start writing. LOL

  58. narniafan#1 says:

    Ditto!
