  4. Aravis and Hwin says:

I also liked PC, after I got over a slight initial disapointment :). I can't wait for VDT, and I think it'll be good! I really hope Eustace swings Reep by his tail…

  5. Aslan's Meadow says:

Good luck! I wish I was in your shoes. But I don't think I could live withough 'my precious' spoilers. 🙂

  6. Mina says:

Going back I realized how hard and(and honestly)boring the movie would be if it was word for word. I liked that it kept the theme of the book, and I don't really mind the flirting/romance of Caspian and Susan. I thought it kind of set up for the romance in this movie.

  7. decarus says:

I am sorry. I don't see it. I never liked the lamb part. I thought it was to direct of a comparison.

  8. narniahp4ever says:

sorry if it's horrible sound/video quality, i did my best to record it.
anyways….why does December 10 have to be soo far away!?!?!
A little more than a month to go!!

  9. Ugly Pig says:

    Heh. Better video, too. Thanks!

  10. NarnianRebel says:

I LOVE the look on Eustace's face when Reep says "NO one touches the tail!"

  11. Loyal Narnian says:

I think it might just be the angle of the shadow… but you never know.

  12. always narnian says:

That was kind of cool 🙂 Aslan looked really fake though =(

  13. Scarlet13 says:

WOW I LOVE THIS!!!!!! SO CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT ON TV!!!!

  14. TumnusTheBrave says:

i agree with Narnian Meerkat. dont get ur hopes too high. When i walked into prince caspian i was so excited and i was with high expectations but i came out of the theater disappointed. LWW was perfect (in my eyes) and realated perfectly too the book but a few added details. lets hope LWW doesnt disappoint

  15. Secrets of Excalibur says:

My younger brother just saw it on Nick. (I, however, did not, since I was in the shower.)

  16. Gem says:

I have a bad feeling about this all…I don't want to dislike the movie before it even comes out, but still. I don't think the CGI in the movie is very good, and some part just look plain stupid and ridiculous. But then other parts look really good. We'll just have to see what happens. Either the movie will be amazing or it will be horrible, but not just in between the two.

  17. Gem says:

And why are you on here if you hate this website so much?

  18. Invisible Woman says:

Wow, they left in the Lamb to Lion scene! look at Aslan's shadow!

  19. DamselJillPole says:

    Loves it!!! XD

  20. Clodsley Mole says:

Gem,anyone is welcome on NarniaWeb. Even if they point out that they have seen a lot of negative comments.
But there are also a lot of positive ones, so perhaps it depends on what you are focusing on?
These new bits look very interesting!!

  21. Alambil and Tarvis says:

    NO ONE. TOUCHES. THE TAIL!

I knew it. This movie is going to be awesome. :p

  22. Alambil and Tarvis says:

Read Tirian's review (he got to see a pre-screening of the movie). It's very reassuring 😉

  23. Alambil and Tarvis says:

    OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    *dies of awesomeness overload*

  24. Omac the centaur says:

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! oh and i saw two Narnia billboards wile driving earlier!! i literally screamed! 😀 😀

  25. Princess Lucy says:

thats soo true…i mean this series has better morals than HP…all it is about is magic and giving the wrong impression that there is good magic…which is not true…and the same villan keeps coming back…imagine having the white witch apperaring in all 7 books…that would destroy the series and besides its always nice to have a mixture in a series…more suspense and interesting…For Narnia 🙂

  26. That was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. jono says:

    THAT WAS AMAZING!!! 😀 lol

  28. Aljeron100 says:

Really? Not everything is sunshine and cupcakes, Litus. If fans have concerns about the film, they can express it as they wish. Has ANYONE in the forums bash this film with no valid reasons? In fact, most criticism have been remarkable restrained from criticism of the film itself and more on the questionable themes that might be in the film. Simply put, the Narnian films are not some holy relic that we can't criticize. Also, if you keep bashing NW for being "pessimistic" or overly critical, why do you bother coming here, read the posts, and then post comments bashing it? It doesn't really make any sense.

  29. Princess Lucy says:

thanxs so much for taking ur time to record it…i'll say u did a pretty good job at recording it…i'll do way worse…and the images and audio is clear as we can tell the scenes lol…but thanxs again

  30. Princess Lucy says:

yeah i just seen the mountains behind the wave…could it be aslan's country…just a suggestion

  31. Tauriel says:

Eh? Sure, there's magic in the world of Harry Potter, but it's not primarily about magic. It's about friendship and love, and compassion, and shows you how prejudice is bad, and how to overcome your weaknesses and become a stronger and a better person. I hate how some people accuse HP of being "evil" and yet they haven't read it (I mean, there are two Bible citations in the last book for heaven's sake!). Why some people think it's impossible to like BOTH Narnia and HP? Both series are good, they're different (as it should be – imagine if everything was the same!), and they both teach you something valuable.

  32. Princess Lucy says:

sorri i didn't mean to go against the HP films and books….i haven't read the books but i have seen the films…the first six…and yes offcourse its not just about magic…its got alot more yes ur right…but i'm just afraid for young children that the fact that they are using magic to overcome these problems and the villian isn't a great way of teaching them…u see with the narnia films and books…the morals teach us we need a creator to help us in our hardships and problems and it clearly relates to reality….and alot more is told through the series…anyhow, it is offcourse nice to have different series with different morals and stories…but it is important to teach people and the children the right things…

  33. DominicLovesNarnia says:

    like it! Whoaw! Can't wait!

  34. Edson07bs says:

Ahhh!!! I'm too excited, i wanna kill or kiss somebody

  35. Reepicheep says:

    Bring on more TV spots!!

  36. dramaticalmama says:

So what if Susan and Caspian fall for each other? They are TEENS, so they will have regular teenage HORMONES. The kiss at the end of the movie was the way of saying, 'Yes, I care for you and you care for me, I know we can't be together, so we'll move on and I'll always remember you as my first love.' Full stop. The end. Goodbye. Why make such a big deal out of it? Is it because Caspian gets married with Ramandu's daughter? Well, look at real life. Who the heck marries their first kiss?

So what if Peter acts a bit high and mighty? If you lived as a king for 20 years, you'll probably get used to being treated with respect, and handed with difficult tasks, and looked up to in bad times. If you were suddenly pulled out of such a life, and suddenly expected to stand by and let the grown ups do all the work, i'd bet you'd be peed. Caspian feels the same way. And in the war against the telmarines, they see a troop in need of a leader, and they gladly take that post. Peter has led many armies before, he's used to seeing himself in charge, and to him, he ought to be leading that army. To him, Caspian is an opponent. If you had stuck by the book and have two considerate, cooperative kings you'd be thinking, what the heck? It would be a really, really boring story.

So what if the White Witch makes another appearance? It gives a balance to the plot – Edmund is a traitor, Lucy wants to be beautiful, Susan stops believing in Narnia – these are their fatal flaws. Why should Peter and Caspian be the goody, goody ones? Having fatal flaws proves that no one is perfect, which is entirely true.

Whenever the credits come out, you should take a good look at what is written there. It says, 'BASED on the book by CS Lewis.' Meaning they don't copy everything from the movie. If they did, it would say 'SCRIPT written by CS Lewis.' If you want a copy, watch the BBC production, and don't bother yourself with the movies.

  37. lilliandilhater says:

Spoken like a true narnian, dramaticalmama. Prince Caspian is the best movie so far.

  38. dramaticalmama says:

narniaweb is amazing and if you can't appreciate the effort the staff put in, you can go and try to make a better one! Three cheers for Narniaweb!

  39. dramaticalmama says:

You rock. See, Litus, there are amazing and motivating people here who care and do more than just criticise.

  40. aslan4ever says:

  44. WarriorOfNarnia says:

NO!!!!!!!!! The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better acting. Better costumes. The sets are AMAZING!!!! It totally ROCKS!!!!

  45. Aunt Letty says:

Lucy, this is not directed at your comment, so please don't feel it is any kind of criticism of you! I just finally have to come out in defense of HP, just a little. I've seen so much anger and diatribe directed at the HP books on Narniaweb, and kept my head down and my mouth shut.

I just want to say that I love the HP stories, despite the fact that I am very, very cautious about what kind of influences I allow into my home. Just ask my kids. They'll wholeheartedly concur. I picked up the first book when my then-third grade daughter asked me to buy it from the remainder rack, because she'd been hearing how good it was from other kids at school. It seemed ok, on my cursory examination of the jacket-copy, but the cashier asked her if she knew that it was about witches. She leaned over my daughter's head and repeated it, gazing directly at me, with an empahsis loaded with inter-parental meaning. So, of course, I told my daughter I'd be reading the book first, before I decided if it was something I wanted her to read. She was only in third grade, remember.

I absolutely loved the story, could not find any of the dark implications the nice cashier was apparently trying to warn me about, and promptly went out and bought the next two books, which were all that had been published at that time. I just finished reading the entire series yet again with my 11 yr old, and I'm still in just as much awe at Rowling's abilities with characterization.

While I can't agree with some of Rowling's hints and allegories on the social revolution front, I don't find anything the slightest bit unsavory in terms of her message about how to treat other people, or anything even remotely promoting the satanic practices of witchcraft or the prideful kind of "spiritualism" that seems to go hand-in-glove with it.

    There. I've pinned a big red bullseye on my back. Have at it, if you've a mind. :;

  46. Evangel says:

The wizard did use magic. Of course, he is a star, but you can't say there is NO good magic in Narnia.

  47. Princess Lucy says:

yes i know theres a bit of that in narnia but thats not what the story is about…ok lets stop talking about wizards and enjoy the time to watch the dawn treader…hope u enjoy guys…

  48. Princess Lucy says:

and Aunt Letty, that is a smart way to do before allowing ur children to read the series…not much parents couldnt careless what their child is doing…anyways i hope u and ur family enjoy this holiday watching the voyage of the dawn treader…

  49. Annabeth says:

*squeals* this is SO amazing!!!! Poor Eustace, who knows what Reep will do to him. 😉
I have yet to see the commercial on TV yet, i guess maybe December 10th is still a long way off. 🙁
This is really awesome!!! I'm so excited. Last night i listened to the PC soundtrack a million times over!

  50. Annabeth says:

    you and me both!!!
(sorry, I realized just how many exclamation marks i put on each of my comments!!!!)

  51. EnnaGirl says:

I agree somewhat. I didn't like most of the chages in PC, I found them very annoying. However, had they stuck with C.S. Lewis' plotline, it would have been a very, very, very boring movie. PC is basically about a hike through the woods and camping which would put me to sleep. However, I don't think that all the changes were needed. Was the romance between Caspian and Susan really needed in the story?
Which leads me to another point. This in back in the 1930s or 40s. I don't think Susan would have kissed Caspian, the way she did. It just wasn't done. And I don't think that Lucy would have walked around on the Dawn Treader wearing pants. Maybe until she got some other clothes but that just not what people did back them.

  52. Annabeth says:

guys, settle down. It was rude to criticize Narniaweb when you're actually ON narniaweb, but it's just as rude to tell people to get lost etc.

  53. SnowingRoses says:

My parents are more cautious (please don't take this as a personal attack Aunt Letty, because it's not, BUT-)
When I began complaining about not being allowed to read HP a while ago, my parents did some research on the books. After that, I'm still not allowerd to read them, but I couldn't care less.
The Harry Potter books influenced children to become wizards and witches. I encourage you to look up the information online. Immediantly after HP became a hit, surveys and organizations showed that the number of kids who wanted and were practicing to become witches shot up. Also, JK Rowling admits that she has gotten letters from hundreds of fans, BEGGING her to get them into Hogwarts. You see it everywhere online, too, JK R. doesn't need to confirm it. These fans have delusioned themselves.
No, I'm not saying HP is bad, just very powerful, and that's not always good. I'm just tired that people either think it's awful or amazing without looking at it's overall affect. (Or effect?)
    That is all.

  54. Twinimage says:

    You're RIGHT!!!! 😀
I was just about to post a comment myself about it.
Holy snap! If that IS true, I'm just…. flabbergasted!
Even if there is an added plot line to the movie, I'm quite amazed with how they are sticking to certain scenes of the book, faithfully. Some of which are some of Lewis' most blunt references to the link between Aslan and Jesus.
Even if the movie turns out to be mediocre, I still admire their boldness to include such scenes.

  55. Twinimage says:

Even notice how he moves, it's more like a trot, that a lamb would move… Oh man I hope I'm not setting myself up. lol

  56. TheScribblingScribe says:

I don't have children… but I think it really depends on the kid. It's definitely a good idea to preview the HP books before you hand one over to him/her, but also I think it's important to know them, and know that they will read the book maturely and wisely 🙂

  57. Pattertwigs Pal says:

Noooooooooooooooooo! It looks like they cut the part where Eustace swings Reep by his tail. 🙁 That was the one of the scenes I was most looking forward to. 🙁 I really wanted it to be in the movie because it wasn't in the BBC version and now the technology is available to make it work and they don't do it. 🙁 🙁 🙁

  58. Edson07bs says:

I'm not sure if they cut that part. I think this happens after and Reep react remembering what happened. I don't know, it's too soon to speculate…

  59. Edson07bs says:

Ow… I hope I'll see some of those billboards here in Lima =(

  60. 8SilverSky says:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's Aslan's Country: I remember reading somewhere (probably on Narniaweb) that Aslan's country had some faint mountains and stuff, and I'm pretty sure that that's what we're seeing 🙂
