Isn't 'The Magician's Nephew' really the first book? Why wasn't that filmed first?

C. S. Lewis wrote The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 1950 as the first book of the series. The Magician's Nephew was written in 1955 as the sixth book in the series. For many years the books were released in publication order, but have since been re-ordered and are now published in chronological order. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was filmed first since it is the most well-known of the stories and because, in the words of Douglas Gresham, this is "the most logically consistent order for filming." For a definitive discussion of this issue please see Andrew Rilstone's excellent article.

Is there a video game based on this film?
