The Ship Has Wings

The look of the Dawn Treader continues to evolve as construction nears completion! The latest photo, posted on kejo’s Flickr site, shows that the dragon wings have finally been attached, which adds more color and makes the ship look a little more like what Lewis describes in Chapter One: “The sides of the ship – what you could see of them where the gilded wings of the dragon ended – were green.” The prow is still waiting to be attached, and of course there is still no sign of the sail (which Lewis describes as being purple).
