Narnia Actors Considered For Role in Prince
NarniaWebber Daredevil sent in a spy report with a link to an interesting story. Prince of Persia director, Mike Newell, said that he considered two Narnia actors for the lead role in the new Disney movie. James McAvoy and Ben Barnes were early contenders. You can read the full story here.

Wow, I've always wanted the game. It'd be awesome if Ben and James were in the movie!
I can actually picture Ben in the role. Then again the prince should have been someone of Persian descent. Also I think Ben would have gotten type casted by playing the role as well.
It doesn't mean anything. Its just a fun little fact. 🙂 The pair were considered for the role, but in the end they decided to go for Jake Gyllenhaal instead.
Cool, I've been a fan of the game series, and have been eager to see this movie. I like Gyllenhaal, but I think Barnes would have done it even better. that would have been cool.
that would've been really cool if James McAvoy or Ben Barnes has gotten the part.

I've never heard of this story before, so I am looking forward to seeing Ben Barnes and James McAvoy in it! i LOVED how James acted as Tumnus, but I kinda hated how Ben did as P. Caspian. But the thing is, I saw another movie with him in it and he was a eally good actor, but in PC… NO WAY! He'll probably do good if he gets this part.

Wow. When I saw Jake Gyllenhall in the preview, I actually thought, 'Ben Barnes could have done it better'. All the same I don't want him typecast as a Disney hottie-hero; I think he has greater potential elsewhere.

I didn't realize I knew Gyllenhaal. And I can't believe the transformation in him for 'Prince'! I have no intention of watching 'Brokeback Mountain,' but Gyllenhaal was great in 'October Sky'! 🙂 // Other McAvoy news: he's currently being considered for the lead in a new Kurt Cobain movie. lol
I always forget that James has dark hair. I guess I need to see him in something other than LWW. lol
bayan is okay to do another film with the director of narnia but to rush to the movie of the Chronicles of Narnia the voyage of the Dawn Treader that I said good bye or not.

I actually saw on Disney Channel last night a 'Movie Surfers' for PoP SoT (Prince of Persia – Sands of Time) and i made a joke about him trying to look like Ben, and even mimic the accent 😛
What is Prince of Persia? I've heard of it but I'm not sure what it is, so I can't really analyze anything till I know what it is.

Jake Gyllenhaal is an Oscar nominated actor and will do the part justice. Much more so than Barnes and McAvoy in my opinion. Although I do think that they should have cast someone of Persian decent to begin with. Hollywood really needs to get over this trend of casting Caucasians as characters of other ethnicities. Regardless, I'm still looking forward to this movie. It won't be great a great movie, but it should be a fun experience nonetheless.
he didnt get the part. and neither of them are going to be in it. it was just saying how they had been an option to play the main role, but the people ended up choosing Jake Gylenhaal, an american actor.
its originally a video game, and so they made a movie too. im not sure if its actually based off of the game or they just gave it the same title.
thats exactly what my brother said, how they should have gotten a persian actor. but oh well, i like Jake Gyllenhaal, and i suppose he looks kinda persian enough for the part. i wonder if they're gonna make him fake an accent, like Ben had to do for the part of Prince Caspian 🙂
Same thing they did with The Last Airbender. You'd think Caucasians were the only people on the planet who can act judging by how castings go.
