Trailer Release Soon

Narnia Fans is reporting that we could see a trailer for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in about two weeks. Check out the article here for the full details.

As always, we will be sure to post the trailer along with a full set of screen-caps and the transcript.

This may also mean that the trailer will premiere in front of Toy Story 3 as that’s the most appropriate movie set to release in two weeks. Can’t wait. Sail on Dawn Treader!

UPDATE: Kristi at The Lion’s Call reports that Walden has confirmed the trailer will premiere in front of Toy Story 3!

i know, right? if the trailer does end up coming out with toy story, maybe i will go see it!!! hey, but they WILL post it on here when it comes out.

  2. terebinthiangirl says:

so you're saying, AJAiken, that all of the Toy Story 3 fans are gonna be 16-year-olds????

  3. Disagree completely. I don't think you properly understand Pixar's target audience. The fact is that people of all ages will go see Toy Story 3, not just six year olds.

  4. DragonGirl says:

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!! The next two weeks will be going by very slowly for me!!!

  5. Embrace says:

I canΒ΄t wait! The magic will show its first signs of life! I feel like a kid again like waiting for the Star Wars and The Lord Of The Rings trailers back in the days! Bring it on sailors!

  6. MissAravis says:

Very interested to see how this is going to be marketed…

  7. Tawariell says:

That's an excellent idea, Starlily! Also, maybe you could find some quiet time to pray and ask God to help you order your desires properly. I agree– it can get tough, but you can also find God in Narnia. πŸ™‚

Hopefully this trailer will satisfy much of our curiosity about all of the questions we have. I can't wait!

  8. 22narnian says:

    Yes!!!!!!!

  9. ernesto says:

que bueno me da tanto gusto de saber esa noticia la verdad que si y lo dijo de la verdad que si adios.

  10. terebinthiangirl says:

i NEVER said only six-year-olds were going to go see Toy Story 3, narnianlover101. i simply said most of it's fans are going to be children, while VDT's fans will not only be children but also teens and pre-teens.

  11. QueenLucy12 says:

OMGSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! AAHHHHHH! TWo weeks is the 16th!!!!!!!!!!! O man this will be a looooonngggggg 2weeks!!!!! *dancing in my seat!!!! singing songs narnia version!!!!!*

  12. You're right, you didn't say they all were ALL six year olds; I apologize. I still disagree, however, because the majority of Pixar fans aren't children.

  13. LL says:

    Toy Story…here I come!!!!!

P.S: I wonder if Toy Story's box office will grow because of all the narnia fans haha!

  14. wow says:

You're giving him the attention he wants…

  15. just jill says:

    well you see,
while many toy story three fans will be young what about the parents and older siblings taking them there?
plus some older kids do like those movies you know.

  16. Mirima Rosetrader says:

  18. Hope in the Lord says:

VIVA LA NARNIA!!!!! Omg, you have no idea how happy I am right now. A trailer in two weeks? *Dies* lol. Can't wait to see Ed, Lucy, Reep, Eustace, and Caspian, they're like old friends. Squeee!!!! πŸ™‚

  19. chirpingbird says:

    Look,
maybe Nathan is being a jerk. OR maybe the first time he was playing with us or made an honest mistake. You don't know, so please LAY OFF.

  20. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

I honestly can't think of a single film this year that would be a better choice to put a Dawn Treader trailer. The fact is that all pixar films are family films, not just kid films. Dawn Treader is also a family film, and the demographics between the films are almost identical, with Dawn Treader PERHAPS being skewed to a slightly older audience.

  21. EstefanΓa says:

    Si!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Por fin!! la espera estΓ‘ terminando!!!!!!!!
    Esoy muy emocionada!!!

  22. ShastaTheSecond says:

I couldn't disagree more. You obviously don't understand the people who make up Pixar's fanbase: artsy moviegoers, animators, adults, and of course, children. If you haven't noticed, Pixar's last movie, Up, was targeted more to adults than kiddies. And it was a huge success.

  23. ShastaTheSecond says:

The trailer will probably be on vid;eo sites and Narnia.com when it comes out, so don't worry.

  24. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

YYYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting for this from day one! lol

  25. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

    couldn't agree more

  26. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

OOH! Double excitement for the 18th!!!!
(btw, love your name! glad you are bold in putting "ChristProclaimer" as a screen name! mine requires a teeny bit of research: "Ariel" means "lion(ess) of God" and I only use that name because the meaning is sweet and because it really fits with Narnia! lol I've wished it was my real name for years…. lol)

  27. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

Never thought about narnia.com! Forget about my idea to try to see if a friend wanted to go to Toy Story 3 (yes, just for the sake of the trailer!). I'm gonna chill at home and watch it as many times as I want… heehee.

  28. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

or do you mean "7 letters?" ;P

  29. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

Hey, sweet! This is the second one of these "mini-discussions" on NarniaWeb!
I admit that within the last ten minutes, I've been really excited. (Don't get me wrong; I still am!) but now I'm sobering down. I think one of the reasons why it's so easy to idolize or fan-freak over something like this is because it's something we can /see/ it. We can't see God, but we know He's there. But we often forget that. Have any idea how chagrined I am everytime I come to and I realize what I've just done? Heh-heh, yeah, let's not go there!
So thanks to all of you who have helped remind me that there's a Real Person who is the inspiration behind my favourite character in fiction ever and that it's for the Real Person that I should be living for!
May the Real Lion be with us!

  30. 7chronicles says:

FFFFFFIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNAAAAAALLLLLLLYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are going to see the Trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  31. How do you know it will be with Toy Story? Or if the trailer will be 3d. What else comes out in 2 weeks? Whatever movie it's with I'll be there to see it on the giant screen.

  32. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

So maybe someone posted an innocent assumption up on here and turned out to be wrong, but what right does that give you to start to lash at them? What if /you/ were the one who posted the apparently incorrect assumption and then got all these negative comments flung back at your face? "Jerk" is another way of calling someone a fool: something for which Christ will judge you for. I'm not trying to be harsh or "breathe brimstone down your neck", just giving food for thought.

  33. Ariel_of_Narnia says:

Something along "this gives me so much pleasure to know this news is true".

  34. Fire vein says:

    YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *starts dancing a jig*

  35. RummbleBuffinTheStrong says:

    Oh man!!

  36. RummbleBuffinTheStrong says:

    I really am excited now!!

  37. Bookwyrm says:

Yeah, Pixar is huge. A lot more people going to see their movies than just little kids.

  38. Bookwyrm says:

And as a moderator, I'm telling you to cut it out. You may not like the guy, but the name-calling and telling people to shut up stops NOW.

  39. terebinthiangirl says:

thanks narnianlover101. No, not all pixar fans are little children. I may not be a fan of toy story, but i do think pixar is the best animation film company. Oh my gosh, how did a conversation about a VDT trailer turn into a a argument about what age-group toy story will apeal to the most?? lol

  40. Aslan's Girl says:

Hmm. It'll probably actually cause even MORE questions, rather than answer them!! O my goodness!!! I am excited beyond belief! And the 18th is my birthday!!!! It would be so neat if the trailer came out on that day! πŸ™‚

  41. terebinthiangirl says:

Like i said earlier, "Settle DOWN!!!!" everybody is making too big of a deal out of this!!! Ariel of Narnia, no food for thought, please. I can't believe you guys all have time to respond to these remarks if you all think it is so stupid. I must admit, nathan, i am sorry if i (or anyone else) offended you.

  42. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

    LOL!

  43. Tarwe, the Narnian Elf says:

My mom always says, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." πŸ™ I feel for you, Nathan.

  44. CEP Paul T says:

We don't know that it will be in front of Toy Story 3. Tis only an educated guess – albeit a good one … but still a guess.

  45. GPLovesNarnia says:

    Toy Story 3?! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
This is really some absolutely great news for me,
not just because it's THE DAWN TREADER MOVIE TRAILER,
but because I am also a huge Tom Hanks fan, so it'll be double (or triple) awesome to see Toy Story 3!
I might go opening day, now! πŸ˜€
    Ha ha.

  46. HighQueen_Of_LanternWaste says:

I believe we were all just upset because he claimed to have actually seen the trailer himself before Shrek, then he posted another comment elsewhere claiming it was coming out before I can't remember what movie, so I suppose we were only assuming he was purposely trying to mess with our heads. I'm apologize if any of you got offended, it was just a bit irritating.

  47. I. Am calm I am calm…….AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHJJHJHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OK it's all out now wait wait now I'm dancing

  48. HighQueen_Of_LanternWaste says:

    I*

  49. HighQueen_Of_LanternWaste says:

Lol yes, that is what he said.

  50. always narnian β€’ loyal C.S. Lewis fan says:

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! That's exciting!!!!!!!! πŸ™‚ Trailers are always cool!

  51. GlimGlum says:

A very logical assumption and nobody knows that it won't be before Toy Story 3 either. But we will know for sure in 2 weeks. πŸ™‚

  52. terebinthiangirl says:

thank you, high queen of lantern waste. Looks like you were the only one who stayed cool through all of this.

  53. Edmund-is-hot says:

    YEESSS!
    AAAGH, I can't wait. I'm soo excited πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

  54. Aslan's Country says:

I must be the only person that's disappointed by this, not because it coming out in two weeks isn't awesome, but because I loaded Nweb just now hoping to FIND the trailer on the front page.. and now, 2 more weeks. πŸ˜›

  55. nathan says:

I heard that the trailer is going to be released online before it shows up in the theatres.

  56. Victoria says:

    Very excited now, thank you.

  57. QueenSusanJ316 says:

I can't wait for the trailer, maybe it will show more about Susan's and Peter's cameo roles!!

  58. Aunt Letty says:

I wasn't going to go see Toy Story, at least not until it hits the second-run theater in our town, but now I think I'll call the theater and find out if the VDT trailer is running…

  59. Narniamiss says:

Where exactly are you "hearing" all this, Nathan? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

  60. Heather says:

    P.S. I'm 23 and wouldn't mind seeing Toy Story 8-D
