Possible New Dawn Treader Banner
Spy reports from several of our watchful members have alerted us to MundoNarnia’s report on the existence of this possible new banner for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Like previous banners and posters, this also features a collection of characters along with the Dawn Treader herself. Oddly, the two oldest Pevensies join the grouping of characters comprised of Edmund, Caspian, Lucy, and Eustace. This banner features the return of Reep to the logo and the White Witch glowering down upon the characters.
The banner’s text is Spanish. Aslan’s Country reports the tagline is translated to: Embark on the journey. Live the adventure. Discover Narnia as you’ve never seen before.
As of this posting, we have no confirmation that this poster is actually an official promotional piece. Keep an eye on NarniaWeb for updates.

What the heckity heck? Without the Dawn Treader, at first glance this would look like a LWW poster.

ugh, this banner makes me mad. i really dislike it! Why the heck is susan there and Peter? just arrrrghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Aslan looks cartooney. Either his eyes sparkle, have ships in them, or look like Yogi bear. 🙂 At least he looks friendly, I guess.
This is actually a half decent banner compared to the others. Everything looks awesome except the WW (if they're gonna have her on there, at least use a GOOD picture..)and Aslan, who looks a bit weird. And reepicheep.

Note that Susan is wearing very high heels, and Aslan looks worried at the reactions people are going to have to this banner. Ah, well. (But seriously, I hope Susan and Peter aren't going to be at the world's end. Cameos are one thing, but returning to Narnia is quite another.)
I agree, they really shouldn't return to Narnia – that would just contradict the whole goodby scene in PC and they're not in Narnia in the book…
By the way, I've never really understood what you mean by cameo, English is not my native language:) Could someone please explain it to me?
I liked it until I saw the incomplete sail and the WW. And Susan and Peter on the beach. In other words, I like the color scheme. 😉
Aside from Reep on the logo, this looks pretty good as far as design goes. Content wise, however…
Yeah, I'm inclined to believe this isn't a real piece of marketing; the Dawn Treader's sail isn't complete. It looks ridiculous. It's not like it's half unfurled, either; it's actually only half a sail, because that's how it looked before post-production. And that is definitely scaffolding above it, not common ship rigging.
I'd say in a heartbeat that someone not affiliated with production composited this together, but that silhouette of the Pevensies is one we've never seen before. That's what confuses me the most.
Peter and Susan? man there role in this film just keeps changing!
Oh I love this! I love how it's Aslan pitted agains the WW, and the DT is caught in the middle. No fear about Peter and Susan. They're in English clothes! I'm sure it's just a slight cameo! 🙂 Even Anna said that she didn't do much filming 😀 Looking good!! 😀
I also wonder why Peter and Susan are there. And I have a guess. If you look closley, I think that only Susan is still wearing her English clothes and 'high heel's. It looks like Peter has the high fantasy boots. If that is true, maybe the only reason that put Susan and Peter in the movie is to actually SHOW Susan slipping away. It would be so like hollywood to grab anything they could. Another theory is that possible Susan is going to meet Caspian (like the poster suggests). She's going to be estactic, but Caspian will look at her and say I have found another I can be with, (unlike Susan who must return to our world). I can just see Susan staring at him with confustion, shock, and anger. They might have it that the romance between them that was severed by Caspian is what made her so mad she left Narnia never to return. Now this is just SPECULATION and GUESSES. So I'm not sure. If we watch the movie I might laugh at how far off I was. ANY Comments will be welcome. I would love to hear what you think.
I love it! I love the designs but something seems different about Aslan, I mean he looks human in it. And I'm very happy Peter and Susan are returning! Looks like Caspian and Susan might get a second chance after all! I wasnt' ready to say goodbye to Peter and Susan yet!

Hey McGunn, cameo means that they were in the movie before this one and they are coming back for only a small part instead of main characters again.
I like the poster (except for the White Witch *throwing up*). I really don't mind if they bring Susan and Peter back, AS LONG AS they don't put them in NARNIA!!!!!!!
I just had an idea. Are those Military boots that Peter is waring! I heard a rumor that people were worried that he might be in the Army with his dad. Let me know what ya'll think.

This isn't an official poster. If you look at the sail of the Dawn Treader's only the bottom half is show. This is definitely fan art. Not doubt about it.
I don't think I would mind if Peter joined the military, since Lewis doesn't say a whole lot of what happens to the original children between DT and LB. And it would make sense for them to, since their father was, and since they kind want to help people like they did in Narnia…just as long as it doesn't effect what Lewis originally wrote, I'm fine with it.
Well Peter and Susan return to Narnia.And if you look at the 1st trailer and 2nd trailer too I think, if you look closely you see Aslan telling Peter and Susan, Edmund and Lucy also along with Caspian,"You have return for a reason, your adventure begins now". Which I think Peter and Susan have another chance to start another life in Narnia,and Susan will get another chance with Caspian. And when you see Peter and Susan back in Narnia in the trailer, that's not a flashback or magic because Edmund and Lucy were already wearing those clothes in the movie!
Sorry but they're not. Caspian has to marry lilliandil and have a kid with her in order to do the next narnia movie. Caspian and Susan are not in Love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not official. Sail is not complete, people look out of place and don't belong, white witch image is borrowed and way out of proportion. Just looks like someone with photos and photoshop.
ugh….the White Witch is too big. they need to stop sticking her on the posters, much less making her so big and noticable

and hey, i cant see very well cuz its still kinda small when you blow it up, but it almost looks like Susan and Peter off in the corner next to the others, cuz the girl in the far right is wearing english clothes. thats kinda cool. i really dont mind that.

I am talking about the film not the book! I know their was no relationship b/w Caspian+Susan! But how do we know it won't change since Peter+Susan are returning to Narnia when they didn't return in the book they were only mentioned, like what?only once, if someone could answer that.And no I haven't read the book. I'm sure R's daughter is a nice person.
It looks REALLY cool, but isn't it a little close to the premiere to change banners?
Well if it were to show Susan "slipping away", why would they have her SO CLOSE TO CASPIAN and Peter further away? And we can barely even see Peter because of the lighting.
i really like the banner! but i still dont know wat Peter and Susan are doing there! I also like the fact the WW is in the poster, and i also hope there will be scenes of her in the other movies,considering she was the first enemy Narnia ever had so i think it would make sense that she comes back in some way.

Why the heck! Is Peter and Susan in this. They are not even supposed to be a part of the film, and every time I see the WW it drives me crazy!!! Other than that it looks great 🙂
third theory (and what I think is most likely) is that this is not fan made, but rather an official one that was rejected in production. I remember an old poster on having half a sale. They probably were experimenting with how much of a presents the witch, and peter and susan would have, as apposed to an ensemble of the whole cast, or just the dawn treader etc… this would explain the different pictures of peter and susan
Just how things are I supose. Here I am having to waite for the younger wiggle to finish homework, then the Mrs. must have a turn.

I have to agree, although this does look to me like a fan-made banner. The Fox marketing team could take a leaf out of the book of the person who made this.

Where would they have got the actors all dressed up for that photo to use as a fan banner??? The white witch needs to go home she doesn't belong here. I don't mind Susan and Peter being in the first part of the film or being referenced in the first part of the story. But I agree they should not be on the promotional material like this. It is basically false advertising, and would lead people to believe they play a much bigger role. Same with the White Witch. The Witch will probably be in this movie for about a minute or two. She might look on with evil anticipation as the Dawn Treader crew battles the Dark Island sea serpent, but ultimately, I think her role will be similar to what it was in "Prince Caspian."
So it is strange they would feature her on the poster/banners this time when she was not featured on the "Prince Caspian" material. Perhaps her evil plays more of a role than her in this? Maybe the film will suggest that Jadis puts the Dark in Dark Island. LOL
Anyway, I personally don't mind her being on the posters, but I do find it odd. This particular banner looks OK, but I actually liked the theatrical poster better.
I believe the Witch is so massive purely for artistic purposes here. Also because it's more her evil spirit haunting the Dawn Treader crew. A spirit doesn't have to be bound by the laws of man. It can be any size it wants to be. Also, it looks as though she is a vision seen in some kind of winter storm cloud.
I don't quite understand why Peter is standing apart from them. That is a good point. Very curious.
