Singer Scott Krippayne Releases New Single Inspired by Dawn Treader

Good news for both fans of Christian musician Scott Krippayne and  fans of Narnia! The singer has announced on his Facebook account the release of a new single entitled “Voyage”. The song is inspired by The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and is available for download on iTunes. In case that pesky download takes too long for you to wait, here the song is, straight from the artist’s YouTube favorite videos list. And a quick clarification, this is not a song from the film score or any sort of Inspired By CD like the one released for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

  2. DamselJillPole says:

Oh I wish it was for the movie and better yet they made another Inspired by soundtrack for VODT. It would be cool! Great Song!! I Love It! 🙂

  3. Katie Hart says:

I hope more music artists will follow suit! They should know there will be thousands of rabid Narnia fans willing to buy Narnia-themed songs!

  4. narnian1 says:

I will be getting this. and to me, it will always be an official Narnia movie 🙂 it's what I did with Relient K's Always Winter song. (never made it on the music inspired by.. but will always be narnia to me).

Hopefully other artists follow suit, and a compilation is made.

Beautiful…absolutely beautiful. That's definitely going on my NaNo playlist this November…and about every computer and iPod I own. 🙂 So cool. And yeah, lets hope other bands follow suit…

  8. Annabeth says:

So 'Always Winter' IS Narnia based! My BFF and i were listening to that CD and she's like "this song is sooo Narnia" but we weren't sure if it was based on Narnia or not.

  9. Melody says:

I love ScottyK's music, I am going to listen to this new song asap! 😀

  10. Lucy P. says:

    I like it! 😀

  11. Shastafan says:

I love how he mentions everyone at least once. This song is lovely, and I'll be listening for many more times! Thank you, ScottyK!;D

  12. who's he? i never heard of him before!

  13. checkers says:

See THIS is what belongs on the VDT soundtrack….not Carrie Underwood. This was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I loved ever second of it! 😀

  14. Elf Maiden Archer of Rivendell says:

    I know, it's so cool!

  15. narnian1 says:

why don't you wait until you listen to her song before calling this? She might surprise you. 🙂

  16. pselpevensie says:

i love how this beautiful song was inspired by VOTDT!!!!!!! i am totally gonna download this!!!!!!

  17. narnian resident says:

its perfect!!! my favorite line is the one about the dragon 😀
oh i so hope this is featured in the movie. they should make this the ending song! like how they did with "The Call" in PC, where they began playing it during the movie at the end. i loved that so much. that would be so beautiful!

  18. Shastafan says:

I also love the dragon line! Every time I hear it, I keep listening to it over and over again! Whoever puts Dawn Treader and dragons in a great song is a favorite of mine! ;D

I love "The Call" too! I hope they do a song like that at the ending of the movie! 😉

  19. checkers says:

    I just don't think Carrie Underwood belongs on a Narnia soundtrack…that's all I'm saying…

  20. Secrets of Excalibur says:

I agree. This song is wonderful. I especially like the line: "Dragons aren't all that they seem". They should put this song on the soundtrack.

  21. A great example of the inspiration the Dawn Treader can give!

  22. Not Of This World says:

How do you know, checkers? I would not have gussed Swichfoot and their style had anything to do with Narnia, but This is home is one of my favorite songs ever. Don't count it out until you hear it.

  23. skandargirl_95 says:

how many DO you own?not being nosy or anything…just surprised me while browsing for comments

  24. checkers says:

One major part of my dislike of her being on the soundtrack is the fact that I REALLY don't like country music…and in Narnia it would be even worse. I'm really REALLY trying to keep an open mind….I'm just a little freaked out….I had a dream the other night that I went to see VDT, and in the movie there was this awful pop montage sung by someone who sounded suspiciously like Jesse McCartney….this story's giving me nightmares, literally! 😛

  25. StacyYouth says:

Oh, it's not gonna be in the movie? That's okay, I'll treat it like I treat Sailing on a Ship by Phil Wickham. <3 This one's so pretty, I love it. ^^

  26. Dragon Rider says:

Relient K did a hit song for Lion,Witch, and Wardrobe. Switchfoot did a Hit song for Prince Caspian, and now we have another song!!!! Awesome!! Keep it coming! 🙂

  27. Josh says:

Awww, I haven't been on NarniaWeb in awhile. I've just listened to this song & Carrie Underwood's song. I would MUCH rather have this one in the movie. The other just doesn't sound at all Narnia to me. But if this is the only dissapointment in the film I'll have that's ok with me. Maybe I'll bring headphones for my iPhone & play this song while the credits role instead. HAHA!
