Any audience reactions? Did people like the trailer?

Wasn't a bad movie. Needed to add in a few parts that had been left out from the book. Also needed less grose parts. They get a little too detailed!

I liked it! But, I think I've seen that one before…

The violence is one of the things I really admired. In some ways, this feels like the HP film we have been waiting for because it's not a kids movie by any stretch. They treat the story with respect. We are concerned about the characters on screen; there is a sense of genuine peril. These characters could die.

It was a VERY well directed film with a few major script problems.

haha when i saw the trailer in front of Toy Story 3 i nearly squeeled out loud but managed to muffle it in time. my little sister laughed at me 😀

I kept waiting for the VDT trailer to show, but it never did.. 😛 I guess it was only in the US.
Loved the movie, by the way, but that's beside the point. 😀

I'm in US and I didn't see trailer in front of Harry Potter 🙁

One of my friends went to see it and texted me in the theatre saying "VDT TRAILER ON BIG SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" lol. Nice to know someone was thinking of me. 🙂

    Hello 🙂
I live in Québec, Canada and here too we saw the theatrical trailer before the Harry Potter movie. Nothing new at all.
If you want something really funny, search for the french version of the trailer… French is my first language and I'm very proud of that but the french version from France of the trailer is a crap… The way they pronounce ''Aslan'' is soooo wrong ! Exemple :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBrNrAY4Yq0&feature=related
it's like at the 0,40 second mark.
Here, we pronounce it the same way as you do in english….

I saw it at the premiere here in Sweden. They showed the first VDT trailer before it. The one with the "Why? do I look younger?" line.

Have to say that I was extremely impressed with the film (Deathly Hallows). They did a great job with the script for this. I love the book and this is just what I wanted it to be. It's my second favorite Potter film after Half Blood Prince. The worst of the films is still Prisoner of Azkaban. They really messed that up for me.

hehe…it sounds soo funny in french…hehhe…i will probably watch it in english…hehhehe

  15. boke_wyrm says:

The audience was mostly students from a nearby college; it was very quiet for the VDT trailer, but snickered at the TRON trailer, and groaned at Yogi Bear.

  16. Annabeth says:

sweet!! i just hope HP doesn't ruin VDT's chance to be a Box office hit…. :S

  17. ChristProclamer says:

First Toy Story, now this; two hugely anticipated, very successful films targeting different audiences, both showing Narnia; that's good for publicity. This can only help VoDT out.

  18. Rhys says:

Completely agree. Although I was worried for some of the young kids watching, especially when Bellatrix tortures Hermione…

The only other problem is that for people who haven't read the books, I don't think it will make much sense xD Ah well, at least it was a fantastic adaptation…

  19. Sui-Lun says:

I'm sure that it won't 'ruin' the film to make it not a hit. They're supposed to be related to each other. Oh! I saw the 'teaser' trailer during the previews part of Eclipse! (Yes, that was a while ago, but I still saw a trailer in a movie!)

  20. Eden Kehr says:

I saw the VDT trailer before seeing The Legend of the Guardians, and I screamed! Everyone around me was looking at me like I was nuts, but I was excited! This movie is going to be a HUGE hit! Long live Aslan!

  21. FaunFan says:

I saw the trailer while seeing Secretariat with my dad and sister, and it was so exciting! It was the first time I had seen any part of the movie on a "big screen" and it was awesome!

Eden Kehr, I saw Legend of the Guardians in the theaters, but I didn't see the VDT trailer before it. I wonder if it was only in select theaters, or if I simply missed it by arriving at the theater late.

  22. Valiant says:

I saw HP, but it wasn't in front of my screening 🙁 So sad.

  23. elanor says:

    That's funny! 🙂

  24. Fire vien says:

Oh!! I hate Harry Potter!!!!!!! Narnia has been defiled!!!!

  25. lilims says:

My aunt went to see the Harry Potter movie with her boyfriend. She called me to to say, "Hey they gave the trailer for that Narnia thing you like. I think I like too now…it made everyone go quiet." 😛

  26. Annabeth says:

so do i, but if they can get harry potter fans into narnia as well, imagine all the publicity…. i mean, seriously, the fans are NUTS about hp, so if they could get THAT into narnia….. 😀 😀 😀

  27. Narnia Lover says:

But they left out Remus and Dora being married and Remus going to Sirius's old house because Dora was gonna have a baby…

  28. Narnia Lover says:

I think the violence and non-christian things are what drove me away from it. I find the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins much more appealing to my Christian views. They tell of the Tribulation, but put it in the form of adveture and romance, too!

  29. Fire vien says:

Oooh! I like that idea! (As long as the ditch Harry Potter)

  30. narniafan says:

i just went to see hp7 and i saw the narnia trailer. it was exciting 🙂
