Ice Palace Clips, Including the Reepicheep and Eustace Duel

Last week when Poggin from AslansCountry.com got a sneak peek of the Ice Palace display, he recorded a new clip of Reepicheep and Eustace dueling aboard the Dawn Treader. YouTube link is here.

And here are a few other new clips as well! The shot panning over the top of the Dawn Treader is incredible! YouTube link is here.

Check out Poggin’s full report here

Thanks to Poggin and everyone else who sent this in!

    wonderful!! ๐Ÿ˜€ perfect!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. NarnianRebel says:

What happened to Eustace being a pecifist?! lol
P.S. I probably didn't spell that right haha

  5. GlimGlum says:

Will Poulter did say that was one of his fav scenes to do. Wish I had seen it at the Beverly Center. Thanks Poggin. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. NarniaForever says:

your right you spelled it wrong. It is spelled Pacifist!

  7. TumnusTheBrave says:

  9. MagnificentKing says:

Wow that is awesome! that last seen with Aslan really reminds me of the parting of the red sea! I am so excited for the movie!!!

  10. AslansMyJediMaster says:

EEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPP!!! Im gonna go see the one in connecticut! hopefully this weekennd!

  11. Starlily says:

Boy, I wouldn't want to fight Reep. He moves too fast!
Hmm, I'm still wondering why Eustace smiles at the end. He seems happy, not annoyed. And I'm almost positive this is before his undragoning. Maybe in the movie it will make more sense.

  12. hsawaknoW says:

You're right you spelled it wrong. ๐Ÿ™‚ jk

  13. Ugh it's taking forever to load. ๐Ÿ™

  14. Mina says:

That shot of the DT is gorgeous.

Question/Note: If you pause on the second video at 1:39 it says Lashes, Lips, and Complexion. At 1:42 (must be really fast as it's less than a second), Lucy has a piece (or pieces) of paper in her hand…did she rip the page(s)?

  15. Mina says:

It could be afterward the undragoning…maybe Reep is teaching him to fight? He says, "Good match. I'll make a swordsman out of you yet."

  16. Amelia says:

I had not noticed that before, but yes, it does look like that!

  17. Fire vien says:

Be nimble! Be nimble!!!!!! I Love you Reep!!!!!!!!

  18. aragorn2 says:

I don't think so, because I have heard from several places that the duel is after Eustace steals an orange.

  19. aragorn2 says:

The entire fight sequence seems rather cheesy, I hope it isn't in the movie.

  20. Narnian Meerkat says:

Hey, she was close! ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm trying to decide if I want to watch these or just leave them alone so I can see them in the movie. ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Hwin says:

    The anticipation keeps rising….. ๐Ÿ˜€

  22. Mina says:

    Time will tell. =D

  23. Narnian Meerkat says:

Okay, I couldn't resist. ๐Ÿ˜› LOL Good videos. But I couldn't really hear the Duel one. Boy, am I going to have to get used to Reepicheep's new voice. . . .LOL I like how he's like, "Dance, come on, dance!" hahahahaha. It's SO Reepicheep. . .

  24. DearHeart says:

Hey guys, if I heard correctly Reepicheep said "I'll make a swordsman of you yet." I also think I caught a few other lines that appeared to be coaching tips. Maybe this is a scene where Reepicheep is teaching Eustace how to sword fight. I could be wrong though. -What Might Have Happened-

  25. narnian resident says:

this is very funny! i just know i am going to love Eustace and Reepicheep together in the film. their relationship will probably be one of the most unforgettable things in the movie ๐Ÿ˜€

  26. Caspian XI says:

The second video… just plain Narnian beautiful!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

  27. Under_the_Palmtree says:

WOW! The first video was so cute! and the shots of the DT in the second video were AMAZING!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ I'm excited all over again to see this movie! I can't wait! Further up! Further in! ๐Ÿ˜€

  28. Edmundsdefender says:

Even if the rest of the movie is horrible, I will go and see it simply for the shots of the Dawn Treader. She is beautiful!

  29. StephanieTheFaithful says:

Awesome video, I think Reepicheep and Eustuce are going to be awesome together! Can't wait until Dec. 10!

    Stephanie

  30. beautiful balerina says:

Ya know what would be awesome?? If the VDT could be in 4-D!!!!

  31. GlimGlum says:

I think it looks great. Can't wait to see it on the big screen. ๐Ÿ™‚

  32. Talvi says:

I'd never leave the theatre. X3

  33. Starlily says:

Yes, Lucy does rip out a page, it was in the movie storybook. Bleh. As if Lucy would vandalize a magician's beautiful magic book! It's just not like her.

  34. aslan4ever says:

so great…. i think this film is beautiful … i love narnia

  35. Reepicheep says:

I saw these about a month ago on Aslan's country's youtube page.

  36. Annabeth says:

aww, i love these! Eustace and Reep are just TOO cute together! They're, like, the PERFECT pair; their both stubborn, feisty, and adorable ๐Ÿ˜‰
    22 more days and counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  37. Annabeth says:

you are so lucky to have met Will and Georgie GlimGlum, I'm really happy for you ๐Ÿ™‚
    Did you get their autographs?

  38. Pepper Darcy says:

maybe Eustace (though still a brat at this point) could still be decent enough to take a compliment? I mean, even if brats are such jerks, sometimes they still have moments where they're 'frightfully decent' (said with radio drama Edmund accent) So it could be just that! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love the scene. It looks great! ๐Ÿ˜€

  39. Pepper Darcy says:

what about a Holo-deck? Then you could live it… and be what character you want ๐Ÿ™‚ Just don't let the safeties go off! ๐Ÿ™‚ (lol, seen WAY too many Star Trek episodes)

Man, I WISH Holo-decks existed. I'd so play Narnia, LotR, and How to Train Your Dragon: 'this is amazing! The wind in my— CHEAT SHEET!' I can feel the wind right now. And I can tell you this; I'd be playing Dawn Treader like crazy! ๐Ÿ˜€

  40. Fan 4 Narnia says:

DearHeart: I think you are right because when the scene ends, Eustace is smiling. He probably would not be smiling if he meant to kill Reep. Hee, Hee!

  41. I actually liked the fight between Eustace and Reepicheep. And it did seem to me that Reep must have just been teaching Eustace. I hope so.

  42. GlimGlum says:

No on the autographs. I thought about it though. They were signing Narnia movie posters that were only given to the mall staff if I remember right.

    If I'd had one I would've tried. ๐Ÿ˜€

  43. pselpevensie says:

I LOVE IT ALL!!!!!!!!! AM SOOOOOO PUMPED THAT THE DUEL BETWEEN EUSTACE AND REEP IS IN THERE!

  44. Alambil and Tarvis says:

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWW <3

I love how Apted & the team really seem to have worked on fleshing out the Eustace/Reep relationship. It was one of the things I was afraid they'd overlook, but they didn't ๐Ÿ™‚

  45. sirsimon says:

The duel is after Eustace's undragoning.

Because I watched them filming and Eustace is swinging Repicheep by his tail, with a angry look on his face.
So there will be a fight between at the beginning, and a duel midway to practice combat,

    Simples

  46. Beyond Narnia says:

That is rather astonishing considering the ice palaces {where this was filmed} were only openned on the 12th of this month, and I can't imagine them being given sneak peeks more than a week before that…

  47. Mina says:

I don't know, it felt as though she might have in the book.

  48. Starlily says:

Haha, I'd forgotten that line from How to Train Your Dragon. XD I was like, "What is she talking ab–oh! LOL!" For some reason it really made me laugh. Thanks for reminding me.

    Um, what's a Holo-deck? Is it a sci-fi thing?

And as regards to Dawn Treader in 4-D–well, I don't think that's possible, but it still sounds like it would be absolutely phenomenal! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ 8)

  49. Pepper Darcy says:

yes, it's a sci-fi thing. You ARE the character you chose (you dress up in costume, have the props) then there are holo-emitors that project light to enduce an illusion of a scene/set/place (i.e. you could dress up as Lucy on Dawn Treader and program the computer to play that 'story'; then the holo emitors project the light for that story and it gives the illusion that you're in that place. It also gives the illusion that you're moving (sometimes) when you're not actually going far (like being on one of those treadmills))

But the holodeck is really just an illusion of light. You touch the sets, objects that are emitted by the holo emitors and your hand passes through them. It's basically living the movie yourself and you can do it however many times you want.

    =D

  50. jill says:

In reply to dear heart. I think you're right.

  51. rutger says:

I donยดt know where to write this down, but you can now disembark Dark Island on the official website of The Chronicles OF Narnia

  52. Starlily says:

*Gasp!* You're right! Only it's a bit disappointing with no sign of Rhoop or the Sea Serpent. But the way the water and mist moves subtly is a bit creepy and hints to more sinister things. I'm sure someone else will report it soon.

  53. Annabeth says:

aww, that stinks. Oh well, meeting them is just as good ๐Ÿ˜€

  54. WarriorMaiden says:

Wow! All those huge shots of the Dawn Treader are absolutely breathtaking! I can't wait to see it in theatres!

  55. Moviecynic says:

I saw VODT last night at a special showing near Chicago. It was AMAZING. Perhaps the best of the Narnian movies yet. Eustace is perfectly played. You WILL be moved.

Yes, there were huge changes – and the Lewis fan within me was a tad upset, BUT the changes do make sense and for those who have not yet read the book they will certainly work.

Less enchanting than the first film and less raw and intense than the second film it is perhaps the most spiritual and thought provoking of the three.

Please don't be spoiled by your expectations. This movie is an instant classic and doesn't let the series down in the least. The first two are among my favorite movies of all time (I'm a 42 yr. old pastor) and this film ranks with them. I hope Hollywood makes more epic films of faith like this. I also hope that Disney regrets there choice to drop the series and that Fox is well rewarded for taking it up.

If Narnia can maintain this level of brilliance then let us hope the entire series gets made!

My biggest complaint is that the movie is 10 to 20 min. too short.

  56. Starlily says:

Great, I read Josh's review too and now my biggest concern is that the movie will be too rushed. I hate it when they don't develop scenes well enough. In my opinion, VDT should have been the longest movie of the series (except perhaps for HHB), because it's an episodic voyage and needs time to explore the subplots. Why should they choose THIS film to trim down to 112 minutes?? Why not SC, or MN? From Josh's perspective, this movie sounds kiddy and way too fast-paced. And it sounds like they cut out important character and scene development in favor of action and characters that aren't in the book. Don't think I'm rejecting the movie–I'm just venting my frustration at the moment. I'm sure I'll like the movie well enough, and it's probably better that I lower my expectations before I watch it. I just wish the script writers could work out the pacing issues these films seem to have!
Sorry to be such a pessimist, especially on your very nice post, Moviecynic. Thank you for sharing with us! I bet I'll feel better later. Still hoping for VDT to be a success. Further up and further in! ๐Ÿ™‚

  57. AslansCountry DID post these videos a couple of days ago, but they're not quite the same thing. These videos seem to be better quality (the Narniawebbers were able to get closer to the TV screens with their cameras/or had better cameras). So yes, AC did film them, but the quality wasn't as good. I would know, because I made screenshots for the videos AslansCountry posted at http://goo.gl/frEJv and http://goo.gl/UVlR6 (those go to Picasa Web).

"Be nimble! Be nimble! It's a dance, boy, a dance!" <– Hahaha.
